Watch Tom Cruise Presenting at the SAG awards

by leora on January 28th, 2008

Hey guys if you missed last night’s SAG awards check out the video you can download here with Tom Cruise presenting.  Also check out the pics.

It seems Tom just came to present and didn’t stick around for the show or walk the red carpet.  I wonder what he was hiding from?

Interesting article on the Fox site:
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,325990,00.html

‘The Tragic Jinx of ‘Dawson’s Creek’

My favorite headline 20 years ago in The New York Post was “The Tragic Jinx of ‘Hart to Hart.’”

That came after famed and beloved actor William Holden, the lover of Stefanie Powers, died. A little earlier, Natalie Wood, wife of Robert Wagner, met her watery fate. I’m not sure but I bet it was Vinnie Musetto, the great bard of Post headline writing, who came up with that.

So now, I give you in tribute: “The Tragic Jinx of ‘Dawson’s Creek.’” Heath Ledger, former fiancé of Michelle Williams, is dead. At the same time, Katie Holmes has been swallowed up into Tom Cruise’s bizarre world of Scientology and control. Her promising movie career is almost over. The one movie she made in two years, “Mad Money,” is a bust.

And to think: Katie nearly co-starred with Ledger in “The Dark Knight.” But the conventional wisdom is that Cruise nixed that plan, sending Katie into acting oblivion. Maggie Gyllenhaal, whose brother Jake co-starred with Heath in “Brokeback Mountain,” took her place.

That leaves, of course, the two male leads from “Dawson’s Creek.” James Van Der Beek, from his credits, looks like he’s headed into TV oblivion. Joshua Jackson hasn’t shown all his cards, and it’s still within the realm of possibility that he’ll make a go of his career on a bigger scale. If they don’t make it, “The Tragic Jinx of ‘Dawson’s Creek’” will be all the more relevant.’

I guess by these pictures that means that Katie did NOT attend the SAG awards. And she doesn’t seem to have been at Fashion Week in Paris, France because Posh was with Claudia Shiffer and Dita and so the usually camera friendly Katie is certainly avoiding (that’s new) the press because she is no where to be found except exiting Cut restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Wonder if she is also Cruise’s jinx too.

I think she hiding too. I mean, no paps while they are supposedly bowling Saturday night. Doesn’t Cruise have a bowling alley in his home or something?

I read on IMDB that he was a vegetarian!!!????

ANother thing I read (and must admit, seems to be the only redeeming quality about tc) is that he learned a lot from Paul Newman re:politics when they made Cocktail….it’s apparently why he then made Born on the 4th of July.
It seems so ironic that the very movie that made him a superstar (top gun) is the movie he’s basically ashamed of after changing his views on politics and war, the military, etc…

    TOTAL LIFETIME GROSSES
    Domestic: $15,252,568 99.7%
    + Foreign: $40,951 0.3%

    ——————————————————————————–

    = Worldwide: $15,293,519

Katie’s movie is doing well. And Scientology reportedly got more followers this week than ever from the videos. I guess the intention of haters back fired.

By the way, thanks for the video. Really liked seeing it. Roger Friedman should get a life. Tom Cruise is not in his league and I don’t understand why he cannot stand those who are better than him.

At least Katie is not going to over dose on some Anti depressant any time soon.

I don’t see how he’s a vegetarian if he makes his spaghetti carbonara with bacon. Actually, it looked pretty tasty when he made it on Oprah - not the same time as the couch-jumping incident!
And why would he always eat at The Cut when it’s reknowned for it’s kobe steaks?

Jessy: The Scientology site did get alot of hits after seeing the TomCrazy video, but mostly from people who were curious about it after seeing Tom on the video. Most just wanted to know if “this was for real?!”

Katies movie is not doing “well” by any stretch of the imagination….on the 24th it made 184.00 per theatre….do you know math? That means SIXTEEN people went to see it for that day.
    That’s a big fat flop.
Also $cientology DID NOT get more “followers”.
People went to the sites to see exactly what has influenced tc to go INSANE.

Those videos are the absolute WORST thing that could happen to tc and $cientology……..then again…that was the whole point of them being leaked.

Also Jessy if you could use your head for a moment….if the COS was seeing anything that even resembled a positive reaction to the videos WHY would they be pulling them left and right from the internet and threatening to sue the sites that are refusing to take them down
    DUUUUHHHH!
