There is video footage from X17 Online of Tom, Katie, Suri and Connor from the set of Will Smith’s movie “Seven Pounds”. You can view the video here.
I have a little more information about the movie and Connor is now listed as a cast member. It is said that he is playing a “Young Ben“. Will Smith plays Ben, the main character, in the movie.
Here is a possible synopsis of the movie:
Ben (Will Smith) is an IRS agent who is depressed and guilt-ridden about mistakes from his past. He sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers. When he meets Emily (Rosario Dawson), a beautiful woman with a heart condition, he falls in love with her, thereby complicating his plans. Woody Harrelson also appears as a blind pianist who befriends Ben.
It sounds like a good movie. I’ll go see it just for the sheer fact that I want to see Connor Cruise act! Right now it has a release date of December 12, 2008.
I thought it was just pictures of Connor and that he was not reading lines.
I also thought this was done in March or April.
Connor is a doll. But I don’t think he has an actual speaking part in this movie.. I believe it will just be pictures of him used as Will Smith as a youngster.
ahhh…..the elite crowd will always keep their friends and family at work……TC is pals with Smith….how nice for TC’s children….guaranteed acting work. The word privilege comes to mind.

Will Smith has dropped a bunch of money into opening up a new school in Calabasas, according to a report in the National Enquirer.
But we did a little digging, and the New Village Academy’s website indicates that one of their models of learning is something called “Study Technology” — a method created by none other than L. Ron Hubbard. The school also emphasizes the teaching of ethics and survival — again, big topics in Scientology.
While Smith is not mentioned per se on the school’s site, his reps did not deny his involvement. Instead, they gave TMZ the generic, “no comment”, when questioned about his involvement in both the school and the Church.
So is he, or isn’t he - a Scientologist, that is. According to Big Willy, he’s not.
Suri looks more grown up here like a 5 year old girl.

tc and crew must just be visiting the set. It was reported that Connor is just doing photographs and a extremely small non speaking part. And it was all done last March. Well maybe he had to return for a retake for whatever reason and so they all came to watch!
Jada IS a cos member. So Will would have to be or he would be considered an “SP”.

It looks like connor has a hair cut.
I don’t believe anything until its confirmed by Connor’s or Tom’s publicist about when the filming has taken place or about how small connor’s part is.
Jada and Will are not a CoS member.

TIA: Smith is not opening up Jewish schools, is he? He is not raising his kids Buddhist, is he? No, to both. He is raising his kids Scientologist and he is funding Scientology schools.
Oh, and he is handing out coupons for a free Scientology auditing class.

Nicole and Tom must be very proud of their son! I am sure both will be there at the movie premiere to support Connor.

Will Smith has said he is NOT a Scientologyist and I won’t believe he is until he says so.

tia, no need to be so defensive. jada has said many times that she home schools her kids in the same system that tc’s sister uses with connor and bella. Jada and tc met during the filming of Collateral and have been friends ever since.
In this day and age, stability is a good thing. With will and jadas schedules they most likely feel this is what their kids need. Let them have it.

Yes, the Smiths home-schools their children, so do many celebrities BUT Jada has NEVER said that they use the same system that Tom’s sister uses.

I think all Celeb scienos will take a note from TC’s playbook–keep it way on the down low as it can kill a career. TC should never have fired his long-time publicist who so protected him and his image.
I don’t think TC’s career is dead, otherwise there would be no need for his critics to chant it like a mantra on every site and every thread. To say it is, is to close down hollywood as most of the other actor’s careers are dead too. Is Clooney’s career dead? Brad Pitt has had flop after flop, Angelina, Sweeny Todd was not a hit, and Redford? Meryl Street was in LFL. Saying it does not make it true.
TC is still the biggest star today and I don’t see him acting as the bar man anytime soon. I believe a certain section of the public would like to kill him off because of his religion. Fortunately, that is not possible because this country is built on certain values. Freedom, tolerance and democracy are some of them. Yes bigots do exist, but though they are vocal, they are few. They have targetted Tom for the last three years and told lies about him. Thankfully the public now is realising this.
John Travolta is scientologist and wild hogs did very well at the BO. Infact most scientologists’ careers are very successful. I am sure if TC did a block buster, it would be an instant hit.

Tyler, I do speak about TC on his own merit all the time. You have to admit that examples are the best way of getting a point across. People usually make sweeping statements without considering certain obvious facts or realities.
I agree with lauren on this one. To say TC’s career is dead is to say all actor’s careers are dead too!
