Video Clip of the Paparazzi Crazziness That Surrounds Katie and Suri

I have posted clips like this before, where Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise have to deal with the paparazzi. Heres another clip of the mom and daughter duo the night they went to see The Lion King.
Suri has her little head buried in Katie’s shoulder while the paparazzi constantly yell her name and snap hundreds of pictures. And on top of that are all of the on lookers who are staring and pointing. It’s video clips like these that make me realize being a celebrity isn’t all it’s cracked up to be! I would not want to have to deal with this on a daily basis.
I know…this is ridiculous. Its HORRIBLE for not just KH and Suri but for the OTHER children and families as well. I mean because of Katie and Suri being there the other kids have to be SUBJECTED to this mayhem. Its not right. You can see that other dad running to the entrance around Katie holding his child to avoid the silly chaos. Its absurd for others in their vicinity to be subjected to this nonsense. Katie should enter through the BACK STAGE DOOR entrance to be gracious to the other children who should not have to be around this silliness. Alot of stars enter through the stage door where the performers enter for shows here in Pittsburgh…I know b/c I have performed with our Opera and its unfortunate that Katie would not do th esame. Its in this instance that I REALLY start to wonder if there is not some small part of her that enjoys all this attention. She knew that her entering at the main box office, where families with CHILDREN would be would cause a small riot yet she still CHOOSES to. NOT COOL KATIE. I do NOT feel sorry for SURI in this particular instance b/c there WAS another way to enter. When you are on the street walking to starbucks there may not be another way to enter but here THERE WAS. NOT COOL KATIE….stop attention seeking!!!
The people in the lobby aren’t staring or pointing. They look more like they are trying to keep themselves and their children out of the way of this hoard of people that suddenly entered the room with cameras and bodyguards. I also believe that the bodyguards sometime tell the public to stay a certain distance away from the family as they walk down public streets – at least I can’t imagine any other reason why there are pictures of the family walking down the sidewalk while every single member of the public seems to be quite a long ways away all grouped together as if behind a rope, only there is no rope. Katie and her daughter, however, don’t seem to court this kind of attention. Tom, on the other hand, does, and has no qualms about turning both himself and his daughter to face the paparazzi, standing there while the pictures are taken.
Nightmare, it is just a little girl who has not asked for this. There should be more distance and respect towards mother and child. There is a responsibility which should be taken without being asked to. Every parent with children who watch these is disgusted.
See nothing would keep me from yelling back off! That is RIDICULOUS! Also, isn’t there a back entrance to places like that for high profile people. That child needs a break from that paparazzi circus.
there has to be a law stating that the paps stay a certain distance away, it must be so scary for the little girl.
in the other video i saw, there were double the amount of paps but they were all bunched up together on one side of the street, there were so many. also in that video katie looked like she was walking down some stairs at the back of a building, but the paps were waiting for them.
it would make anyone crazy….
Annie, couldn’t agree with you more. Why are there no laws to at least protect the child from paps! Disgusting behavior from the “press”.

I seem to recall Tom saying he wants to teach Suri not to be afraid of anything, which is why he exposes her to the madness.
What Tom said was that he doesn’t want his children to be afraid of anything therefore he downplays the intrusion of the paparazzi.
Uh, I live in NY and witnessed this madness. I would say that Katie and Co. were the one creating the “madness” on what was otherwise a quiet Sunday morning, with the few people who were out were minding their business. It was clearly a staged event, with Katie and Bella taking their sweet time to talk and pose on the street looking off into nowhere while pretending like they didn’t see the giant wave of photographers in front of them. Meanwhile, the paps were yelling directives back and forth, clearly knowing Katie and Co’s itinerary. Katie even announced loudly, “Okay, we’re going to run now,” so they could prep for the “action” shot. In NY, if you really want to mind your business, you mind your business and people leave you alone. Whatsamatta, Katie, didn’t Tom’s check come in the mail this week? Why you need to whore your baby out like that? I don’t feel sorry for her since this is all a farce, but I DO feel sorry for this kid for being served up by her parents like this. This is all she has ever known. Sad, sad.
Ahhhh Mary…hate to burst your bubble but Suri looks afraid.
I don’t think that Suri is deliberately exposed to anything other than going places with her mother, and as far as I can see, Katie does pretty much ..normal things like a lot of normal people do, I’m not saying celebs here, but ordinary people , they can’t hide Suri away, because the paps are always going to be there
There are new laws coming out soon, I read, or maybe they already have , I don’t know, some of you guys obviously would know more , are they going to help the situation?
I don’t object so much having her pic taken , its the way the paps go about it , cameras are so sophisticated now, I don’t think that the paps need to be in their faces, surrounding and screaming at them. I would think that if they kept their distance they probably would get beautiful happy pics of Suri and Katie wouldn’t get so tense. Sounds simple really, so why don’t the paps do it.
Annie…you’re exactly right on the mark with your comments.
The Paps are usually independent photographers who sell their pics to the highest bidder, rather than employed photographers working in-house so to speak. So, in some ways they are simply not answerable to anyone for their actions (they have no boss!). We see them blocking people’s exits by car, chasing celebs in their cars, dangerous driving, in some cases stalking-type behavior. You would think, that with all the technology now they could at least keep their distance. It’s really getting out of control, in some ways, I feel bad for the kids of these celebs.

I do not know if Katie sometimes deliberately wants attention as this is not possible. It sends mixed signals. Or she tries to co operate in order to keep things a bit in control. I understand her need to do ordinary things with Suri. What’s wrong to send en press statement about that? Which does not prevent all kinds of situations but does clear things up.
First of all,let me say that those of you who are damning her for taking her child to a public event,you simply sound JEALOUS of the attention!! Period!!
Last time i checked,even CELEBS have the right to go about their daily activities like any other citizen,without people like you constantly BITCHING about it! Get over it! She has the right to take Suri anywhere she wants! She doesnt have to go thru a private entrance to do it either!
I guess the paps dont even know that they can mess up Suris eyes with all the flashes. Thats why most stars wear sunglasses bc of all the flashing yes i agree katie should have taken her through the back but how do any of you know that going through the back wouldnt have been worse for them. Most paps are aware of the back door and know that most stars use it! I think katie should have helped suri hide her eyes thats why she was buried in her mom she was trying to get away from the flashes and no its not fair for the other families but the celebs do not alway want their life in the public eye katie is to happy, pretending to be happy, or very depressed! I think if everybody stops worrying about what our celebs r doing in their personal lives then everything wouldnt be so crazy when they go out! Look at jon n kate plus eight do u really think they wanted all that in the public but in a way its their fault bc they couldnt afford their kids so they put them on tv. celebs shouldnt have to use a back door anywhere they need to be left alone!
I think that it is horrifying that Katie is constantly taking Suri out on her shopping trips!! That kind of mayhem is very upsetting to a small child!! Evertime I see Suri, she is dressed up like a living doll & going store to store with her mother. I really think she needs some quiet, calm time!! Katie very well knows the paps are waiting for her!!!
