  Why would they host a pre oscar party while they are living in a hotel?
  Is it possible that this “party” is just a ploy to get their names out there and it will be for members only. Those that would be at that hotel that night anyways?
  Everything this guy does is for a “look at me, I am so great” status.

  Do celebrities or their PR representatives “cruise” through these blogs? You bet they do. Kristie Alley is always vulgarly “flipping off” the press that
  several people have commented “What does the Church of Scientology think about that behavior?” “Why does Kristie have so much problems in controlling her weight, isn’t the COS suppose to help her be in control of her self?”

  In this video Kristie is not (surpisely) flipping off the press, instead, she waves a PEACE sign. Yes, someone close to her whom she respects or listens to told her to stop doing that because it gives the COS a bad name.

  Wonder how many A-listers will come. A lot of people in Hollywood felt Cruise and company sold out to the writers in the Writers Strike by settling so soon and giving into to so many of their demands. A lot of companies were unhappy with Cruise and Wagner over that one!!

  Wonder if Suri will make her premiere in a movie and if Cruise is negotiating her role in that movie about Knut, the bear. That movie will certainly bring in money where Cruise and Holmes can’t.

  NG, I thought KH had a movie set to work on that was produced by a Scientologist and had several Scientology cast members. Some lost island theme with Katie starring as an intelligent Scientist.

  Here is another question: How come TC and KH haven’t co-starred in a movie together?

  probably because he did with kidman and they were flops. On her IMDB page she WAS listed as being in the movie where tc is wearing a fat suit, but now she’s not.

  I think most hollywood couples know it takes something special to star together! I just don’t understand why anyone would WANT to do it! I love my hubby, but I wouldn’t go to work with him!
  As far as Kirstie and her weight-SHE IS HUMAN! No one is perfect, with or without ANY type of church!
  I think Katies new movie has a bunch of scientologists in it, but I don’t think it is being produced by one! Who knows tho! There are so many in hollywood!

  tara, the thing about $cientology is that their whole thing is CONTROL…that with each “level” you achieve more and more control over your life and what goes on around you. They believe that at the higher levels you can leave your body, float around and then re-enter your body at will

  SO, given that they believe in absolute control, I would say that tc and ka are the poster children for the FACT that $cientology is a bogus scam…because she cannot ever control her emotional eating, and tc was absolutely incapable of stopping his career from going in the toliet!

  I think kirsty did gain weight back…but I believe JC disconnected from her because of the bad press re: scientology. I think it’s probably just the beginning of a trend because of those videos

  Libraesque2007: I could not have said it better about Kristie and her loss of control over food.

  We are ALL human and consequently some people have a quicker metabolism, body structure, and can control their desire to eat when they are depressed, stressed out, emotional, bored, etc. Scientologists claim to be the cure for all yet they can’t help their poster girl control her eating habits.

  But I think JC severed ties with her because of the bad publicity Scientology is getting these days. Jenny Craig is also a business and has an image to maintain. Just like the entertainment business, its all about image and sometimes talent.

  i predict that tc’s upcoming movie, valkyrie (sp?) will be a TOTAL BOMB, regardless of how many family photo ops are staged between now and then. tommy looks absolutely ridiculous with that eyepatch on, there is zero attempt to even feign a german accent, the title is odd and unpronounceable (important for h-wood box office) and the plot is downright dumb — someone (one of many individuals) who attempted and failed to assassinate hitler. why would anyone care to make a movie about this? had mr v (?) been successful in assassinating hitler, that would be a totally different story. and we know that tommy will be unable not to promote cos while promoting this movie. he’es better off doing mission impossible 8 (or whatever number they are on.) i bet this party is co-hosted by another celeb couple with more fans and/or by another cos couple to assure that folks show. when was the last time tommy was evern in an academy award-nominated film? i only remember him being up for best actor in “born on the 4th of july” (and to his credit, i thought he was great in that one) but that was yeeeeaaars ago.

  I guess its all too much for my small mind to comprehend! I pretty much believe that ALL religion is one big scam anyways!!
  I can’t help but be naive and hope and pray for tolerance and understanding of everyones differences and maybe one day we can all really be individuals without the backlash of “bad press” or discrimination!

  hmmmm…if tomkat are hosting an oscar party, it’s: 1) b/c none of the other big oscar parties want them and their weirdness there 2) it’s really a big scientology recruitment party disguised as oscar celebration. AND, trying to think like a celeb, if i had 2 invitations, incl. one to tomkat’s, i certainly would go to the other one(s). image is everything in hollywood, but i also don’t think hanging out with tomkat would be my cup of tea. how stimulating could they be?

  as for suri’s paternity, i think her real father could be any dark-haired male, though it doesn’t have to be the case. after all, katie is brunette, and dark hair is dominant…. as for her features, on some days she looks like tom. others, like klein. and others like josh. why does it have to be any of those three? why can’t it just be some anonymous hookup from a club? all we know is that katie is the mother. and when kids are as young as suri, their features can change a lot as they grow.

  good point jajorge Altho I don’t buy into the Hubbard donation theories, I do think it is quite possible that if left within this cult Suri might be looked to as a future leader (terrifying) thought. L Ron Hubbard said he would come back and they may spread that propaganda sometime down the road. They believe in reincarnation altho they don’t call it that of course.

  Battlemama: I read and heard in an interview that Katie gave that she was scheduled to start in another movie BUT the financing had not been secured yet and so the movie was on hold. That could be the movie you are talking about. And so with all this free time and the fact that they are already at the Celebrity Center (which I think was planned, sorry but I think most of the things Cruise and his cohort do are calcualated) this is the best time to zero in, step up the brainwashing with Katie.

  I still predict in the next few months, years, as Suri starts growing more and more, her training in Scientology will also become more intense and so if they don’t have the mother “locked in” she might become a suppressive person (or whatever that is they call it), and that will create a problem. They got to get all their ducks in a row: Cruise, Katie, Isabella, Connor and Suri. And of course Cruise’ mom and sisters are already marching to their orders so they have to really get Katie committed to the COS.

  What a terrible position to be in, having a child you love with all your heart and they are from day 1 following COS and if you leave, you are leaving that child behind.

  Remember that pivotal scene in Sophie’s choice where Meryl Streep has to choose between her two children, which one will go to the gas showers and which one will live. Here we are talking about one child but if you leave Cruise most likely you are leaving Suri behind and that might be the reason to stay. What a stupid person Katie is. When I see pictures of her shopping, carrying her LARGE Berkin bag, barely being able to walk in those high heels, I think what a stupid woman you are. Imagine what her parents feel “where did we go wrong?”

  I have a computer at home and work. I have my computers set up to give me breaking news from different parts of the world. I also have an entertainment section that I enjoy reading for relaxation, entertainment, and fun. I enjoy reading about the entertainment business especially how actors are marketed. You can always tell when one has a PR person and stylist, etc.

  However, for most of us, we have our lives, our work, our families, read here and there and attend to our lives. But for people like the Holmes, this most be mortifying because this is real life, this is their daughter and granddaughter. Sometimes when your daughter, sister, or friends pulls a stunt like this (marries into another belief) all you can do is pray for them and be there when they call you. Katie is 29 years old. That’s not old but she is not 16 years old. She is old enough to face her responsiblities. I would hate to be her mother.

That is their goal to give the glory to Scientology. And what is Scientotoloy? I think we have all seen on YOUTUBE and read several articles about Scientology. It is a dangerous cult that not only wants your money, they want your mind and soul. Scary. It claims to be the cure for all but some of its most visible members struggle with their own demons: Travolta’s son Jett, Kristie’s career, divorce, and weight problems, Cruise’ marriages and ego and now career spiraling out of control, Juliette Lewis’ career, etc. Scientology is NOT the cure for all things. Its the root of evil.
