TomKat, Suri and Connor’s Fourth of July Celebration

What an awesome July 4th present! TomKat pictures!!! I hope all of you had a great holiday.
Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise and Connor Cruise all spent the 4th of July in Telluride, Colorado. Suri wore an American Flag headband and Tom is looking mighty handsome in his cowboy hat.
As the pair walked around, Katie had her arm around Tom’s waist. Very cute. Katie also said ‘Happy 4th of July‘ to the photographers before Tom drove away in their SUV.
Suri is either really tired, annoyed with that headband or just overwhelmed by the crowd and photographers. She’s still SO cute! I wonder if she was able to see any fireworks that night. I imagine they would have been a little loud for her taste.
It looks like the Cruise family had a wonderful time together. It’s nice to see them out and about.

a while ago. This year 2008 was a turning point
for Suri and katie because Suri’s physical appearance has changed.

the “it” baby in Hollywood. She looks different

Great pictures of Suri–but they are all from last year and before. Any recent ones of Suri interacting with either of her parents or anyone?? or smiling and acting like a normal kid???
honestly guys , i think some us here,has a huge problem, i really do. i saw a 2yr old little girl playing with her headband, fidgeting with it, taking it on and off, swaying it around, she was’nt crying or whinging,even though she looked a little bit tired, we know she had icecream, even though we did’nt see her eat it, so it makes me think , that they were there for a while , before being spotted by the papps, once the cruises saw the papps the started heading for home and thats , i think, when the video and the pictures were taken. i find the expression on connors face interesting, its like” oh my god ,the papps are here”. when you guys show me a picture Shilo smiling and interacting with her parents and acting normal ‘ or seeing her older sister Z actually walk and smile even though she must be close to 4 , then you might be on to something . i feel sorry for this gorgeous little girl, i feel sorry for her mummy as well, in that people can say any horrible thing they want.
All the pictures posted by Eliza are not from 2007 and the year before.
The very last picture is from this year. There is also a video that goes with that picture where Suri says Hi and is waving and blowing kisses.

I totally agree with you, infact you just wrote what I was about to say. I have never seen Shiloh with an expression on her face. Even pictures taken with long lense cameras. If you want a child to worry about, then worry about her. Even Kingston Rossdale rarely smiled till recently. Give the girl a break, she is only two.
From the video, clearly the Cruise family had been there for sometime enjoying the celebrations before the paps arrived. During that time, we don’t know how Suri was behaving, a recount from another blog of someone who was there says that Suri was running and singing and Connor kept chasing her.
Again, as usual people are reading too much into everything trying to look for fault. If Suri was smiling and blowing kisses, the same people would say she is used for PR like they did.
Regarding Shiloh and Suri, I’m actually kind of worried about *both* girls, but Suri more so because we actually see more of her, and because Shiloh has always been sort of sad-looking. I’ve also never seen video of Shiloh, but lots of video of Suri. It seems to me that the change in Suri has primarily been in the last couple of months.
Please don’t misunderstand, everyone — I **love** Suri and think she’s absolutely beautiful and adorable, but with an autistic child who changed LITERALLY overnight from a bright, alert, smiling, happy kid to a somber, blank child who twisted and played with his fingers, covered his ears at sounds when no one else, including other children, did; became attached to unusual objects (a videotape, a coat hanger — in Suri’s case, she spent all of a day holding onto and playing with a single shoe) and stopped looking in people’s faces…it’s concerning, that’s all, and I truly hope her parents are paying attention so that IF she needs help, she will get it. It’s not a commentary on what kind of human being she is or how lovable she is. With this happening to more than 1 in 150 children (actually, as high as 1 in 50 in some big city areas), it doesn’t discriminate . If it could happen to the children of other celebrities (Sylvester Stallone, Gary Cole, Jenny McCarthy, Holly Robinson-Peete), it could also happen to our sweet little Suri or little Shiloh too.
Instead of getting defensive, why not hope that she gets whatever she needs, IF she needs it?
dahlia, I understand your concern. You would have the same concern about my child, or a child you saw at a store. It takes a very loving person that loves all mankind to notice behavioral changes. I have seen pics of Shiloh eating out of a bag of chips and sharing them with her sister. And I wonder if the sad look on Shi’s face is the shape of her mouth. She maybe withdrawn the last few months with the talk of new siblings.
As for suri, could it be possible that her overnight change has to do with the break that she is forced to do from her mother? Or could it possibly be a reaction from a food allergy?
I agree, she has become more sedate and non focused lately.

It’s anyone’s guess what could the reason could be. Let’s all just hope it’s nothing that can’t be helped with anything more lots of hugs and TLC!
There is no doubt that all of the Cruise kids get plenty of hugs and TLC.
Suri was probably just tired at the parade. Poor darling child, the paps are very mean to always be in her precious face. Let her alone.
Guys let’s not do pop-dignosis of real kids here. We never ever see these children in their home environment. By definition we who do not know these people can only see them through the lenses of the invasive papz. My children would not look like the lively lovely kids they are if surrounded by people shouting their names and pointing cameras at them. I worry that this experience in fact will harm their development and their understanding of the world, but I don’t think we can diagnose anything as serious as autism by looking at photos/ video of kids we don’t ever get to sit down with and spend time with.
Someone said, “there is no doubt the Cruise kids get plenty of hugs and TLC”. Okay, I’m just wondering, do you know them personally? Because I really don’t get how you can make a statement like that. We know nothing of these children except how they look when their parents are trying to help them get away!
Take a look at pictures and video of TC with his kids not only now with Suri but with Bella and Conor as babies as well and older now. You’ll see that those children get plenty of hugs and TLC!
I’m not doing “pop diagnoses”. No one made any kind of diagnosis at all. If this were some isolated series of pictures, or an isolated video, I would simply think this child was just tired, or maybe coming down with a cold. HOWEVER, having had 10 years of experience working with my own child and with scores of other children on the spectrum, and based on *hundreds* of pictures and videos published over the last couple of months, compared with hundreds published last year and the year before, I can tell you with 99.9 % certainty that I detect a problem of SOME kind — and my opinion isn’t an isolated one, either. There are other professionals in the field — more experienced than me, in fact — who have made this observation.
What NO ONE can tell, based on pictures and video alone, is exactly WHAT the problem is. That can only be done through a professional evaluation.
Incidentally, I didn’t say or imply that Suri doesn’t get “Hugs and TLC. I said if she has a problem of some kind, I HOPE it’s the kind that only needs hugs and TLC to get better.
dahlia, I’m sure you know how tom’s “church” feels about any kind of mental disorders. Anyone that is affiliated with the “church” does not get the use of modern medicines. I do not know how something like Autism would be handled. It is rumored that Jet Travolta has it but is not treated for it.
I know Jenny McCarthy has done MAJOR research and is a huge advocate for Autism. She has said that being tested for food allergies and adjusting the diet if needed can really help.
I wonder what a diet of nothing but milk, water, barley, honey and corn syrup will do as far as brain development during the first two years of life? If you are allergic to wheat, barley can be just as harmful.
I understand and realize that you are NOT and did NOT diagnose Suri.
It is something that is close to your heart and on your mind.
Seriously Mary? Are you looking at the same videos I looked at?? The 4th of July videos don’t have one smile from Suri. I don’t care about the ice cream on her little face or the headband thing which is clearly just something bought that day like my grandson suckers me into at any event.. Katie does try to interact with her but Tom turns away and he for sure is not hugging or interacting with her. At one point he looks pissed off with her.
Connor however stays on the sideline and out of the fray. It was a cool picture of him and his dad at the airport. He is finally doing the sunglasses thing too. I think he is going to be taller than dad. He is growing up fast..
The 4th of July videos are at the end of the day as they are heading back to their car.
Yes, I’ve seen that video and different ones from the one posted here and nowhere do I see Tom as pissed off with Suri.
Suri looks tired and sleepy but what child wouldn’t after a parade and what someone posted here, running around and being chased by her big brother.
I am completely shocked by all the talk of mental disorders, autism and the like on a two year old child whom I don’t think any of you have ever met or seen in person.
I so agree with you, Mary! There is absolutely no way that we can know if Suri has any developmental delay, or any disability-just as we cannot possibly know if they get plenty of hugs and tlc. We have to remember here-we do not know these people. we have seen them in photographs that they either chose to release to the public, or that were taken against their will. I understand that Dahlia is very close to the issue of autism. I have taught young children with autism myself. I find it hard to believe that any professional would dare to make such a statement without seeing the child. In teaching, we talk about developmental delays-we do not even say the word autism until there has been a formal diagnosis! Autism is a medical condition, and can only be diagnosed by a professional in that field. I think if you have heard any hollywood doctors making statments about celebrity children, you should realize that is gossip just like all the rest. it’s fun to look at pretty babies-but I would never think for one minute that I know these people!

Oh my God!!! I’m not even going to dignify what some of you said with a response.
This is so sad. That people who pretend they like Katie and Suri are now saying they think Suri has mental disorders. What kind of sadness drives people to turn out like this? To speculate about them mental state of a perfectly healthy child is sick sick sick.
What makes me even sadder is that you can read in their posts between the lines that they would be happy if Suri had a mental disorder.
I agree with those who say that there is too much reading between the lines regarding Suri’s behavior of late. It isn’t possible to see a clear picture of this or any child’s well-being or personality for that matter based upon a couple of still photos or even a 2 minute video of her and her family. Only those who see her for extended periods of time and do so regularly can and should make any reasonable judgements regarding her health. Those who are “worried” just seem to be grasping at straws here and looking for something else to criticize in my opinion. It seems irresponsible to me.

I just wanted to add that there are new photos of the Cruise group along with Suri showing up from a recent trip to a studio where it is reported that Katie will make an appearance on the show, Eli Stone. In the photos Suri is wearing a cute dress with her bangs trimmed. So all the speculation can stop about her hair. I wonder if they were attempting to grow it out but cut the bangs anyway because they got tired of reading or hearing the criticism about her hair always being in her face and the implication that it is because they don’t take care of her or that something is wrong with her? Makes me wonder anyway.
I saw those pics and I think they probably got tired of waiting for the bangs to grow out and I don’t think Suri likes clips/headband on her hair, so they might have gave up because of that. They can try again when she is a little older.
I highly doubt they read blogs like this one.

Her bangs appear more to the side and not full on her forehead as it was before.
Suri has worn that dress before……………She looks very cute in it and the longer hair suits her.
I doubt that the Cruise’s read blogs like this one too. But there is more than one place to read or hear about things written or said about yourself. So perhaps the criticism did get back to them and they decided to give up on growing out the hair? Who knows for sure?
