TomKat Go on a Date to See South Pacific
Tom Cruise is back in New York! Tom and Katie Holmes went on a date to see South Pacific at the Lincoln Center. They looked very happy together, which I always love to see them smiling. After the play was over, Tom took some time to sign autographs and pose for pictures with his fans. He is one of the most generous celebs when it comes to his fans.
Katie and Tom wore matching black outfits. I wonder if they did that on purpose. Sometimes my husband and I do that on accident, lol. It looks like TomKat had a lovely evening together, and much against their critics opinions, they do seem very happy together. You can see more pictures of the couple below.

I like Katie’s jacket in these pics. Very cute. Tom looks good as well, but I think he really needs to do something with his hair. He’s one of those guys that has really straight, do nothing hair. IMHO, it looks better when he keeps it really short ala Mission Impossible 3! Also shows off his chisled jaw and great bone structure when it’s short!
Tom also looks a bit thinner than he has been looking. Good for him! I guess it’s harder to maintain your weight at 46 than it is when you’re younger.
As far as Katie looking thin, I think she has that age old problem that she’s a bit bottom heavy (meaning her legs tend to be heavier than the rest of her body). If she diets down to get her legs to look thinner, her upper body looks TOO THIN. So many women have that problem! I’d like to see her gain a few pounds myself, but the camera adds weight so many actresses prefer to remain very thin in order to look better on camera.

I wonder… How does one sit through a Broadway musical in skin tight jeans? Can you really concentrate on what you’re watching when when the circulation to your lower extremities is being cut off by what you’re wearing?

Has anyone else noticed that Katie seems to wear flat shoes most of the time when she’s not with Tom, and heels when she’s with him??

I also think Katie needs to put weight, being too thin can spoil your looks, paticularly in the face, she’s always had the problem, with being bigger from the waist down, but she looked nicer when she was moere rounded and with short hair hair it shows her thinness more. To be honest i saw a few other pics that were more flattering than these ones.

I can already tell how much more gorgeous she would look in these pictures if she had her long hair. I’m looking forward to seeing her grow it out like Michelle Williams did. She only had it short for some time and then she let it grow out.

It’s nice of tom fly in to take kh out on the town. Personally I bet she would have rather had a quiet night in. You know after working all week and the all the photo sessions with suri, every day. It can make a person just want to crash!
I guess that Conner and Bella stayed behind in the apartment to babysit Suri. That really cool that they would do that, probably gives them some extra spending money that they earned themselves!
I’m sure that kh is happy to have her whole family with her in NYC. You know, tom, bella, conner and suri. The WHOLE family.

I agree with darin….how can she sit all p.m. with body-hugging jeans and those gosh awful heels? I wear heels all day at work (b/c I am vain and want to look taller) but KH is so beautifully tall already that she need not wear 4 in. heels. My feet kill me every night and if I was blessed to have had KH’s height I would not have to wear stilettos to achieve that “look”. After beingon her feet at rehearsals and all day “blocking” on stage why the need to wear such back breaking heels at night. I too am surprised that she never seems to stay in at their hotel/apartment and just relax in the hot tub after such long days. On another note, Tropic Thunder was flippin hysterical. My husband and I loved it!!! TC and the entire crew were all fantastic!! They all were so funny and I loved to see TC play another type of character than the ones he usually plays. I also am happy that Katie is having “her time” in the spotlight. I like to see TC jet back and forth for her and allow her to have her moment in the media. I wish her all the best as she takes the stage!!!

Personally it is the coat I am not I am not loving. It is a bit matronily. The jeans can stretch I guess, otherwise I feel for her if she had to watch a whole play seated in them. I must say Tom looks very nice in these pictures.

For all of her rehearsals(there is only one set of pics where I recall seeing her in heels) KH has worn flats.
As for the skintight looking jeans ………spandex allows for a very comfortable fit.
As for the heels, she was sitting for the play and walked very little in those heels.

Personally I love her shoes - not necessarily with this outfit though. Not diggin her jacket at all. Loving her jeans though.
I have a question re the jeans though - none (or very few) of you like her baggy b/f jeans, and you don’t think she’d be comfortable in these skinny fit jeans - what would you have her wear on the smart/casual front? (please don’t take this question with any mallace etc, I am genuinely interested :))

Her outfit is pretty bad - everything about it reminds me of the 80’s and that’s a fashion era I would choose to never return to, but I guess it’s making a comeback. They do however look happy and comfortable together.

Tyler: I did. There is only one series of pics I can recall seeing Katie in heels going to rehearsals.
In all the others she has worn flats and has been in the very same flats when out with Suri in the park.

Annie……you are too funny! Yes…..I am passionate when it comes to fashion and what the stars are wearing. I admit, it is a vice of mine!! :) And Yappy: I like to see her in wide-leg trouser jeans. They seem to look the best on her type of leg/body. (at least thats my opinion) !! She has worn them in the past and they fall on her so nicely.

ok…she has the jeans on yet again at JJ. She must have bought multiple pairs b/c she wears these horrendous jeans almost daily. If she has not bought multiple ones then she must be washing them daily, b/c if not, then that is just plain gross.

I thought there was more than one series of pics of her in heels. Regardless, she changed out of the heels and into flats because you can’t work that way. Heck, she can barely walk in heels.

BTW, Those shoes are all kinds of wrong with those pants. She’s a big girl and should try to soften her look instead of make it more bold and bulky.

Tyler, read the header and know that she is not going to work. Not that many of us don’t go to work in heels. She went to the Cinema where she was seated. She has gone to work in flats all the time. Then again, I wonder why I bother with someone who is out to put a spin on everything this couple does. At least equip yourself with actual facts before spinning them.

Oh, and if she softened her look, you would whine about her look being too soft and doing it for photo op. I am glad she chooses to wear what makes her happy. Not what her severe critics want her to wear so that they criticise it.

they looking fine each other. tom is looking great, but katie looking little old, i mean, maybe because she is more thin today. I hope she can see her pictures and she realized that she need add more few pounds, but the choose is on her, and i hope no matter she choose, she is happy. glad to see this Hollywood couple go on date together.
