TomKat Family Heads Out of Town
It’s time for another helicopter ride! Yesterday (September 22nd), Tom, Katie and Suri all boarded a helicopter at the Westside heliport. They are headed out of Manhattan and I assuming back home to Los Angeles.
It looks like Suri Cruise has a new little friend. A purple polka-dotted elephant. Her new stuffed animal is cute, yet scary all at the same time.
I imagine Katie is extremely happy to get away for awhile before she has to be into full Broadway mode again. She’ll be on stage six nights a week and rehearsing in between that. Sounds exhausting. Update: Katie is back in New York. I’ll post the pictures when I can get my hands on them.

Well, it is a well deserved break. She is done better than good. Time for some family time and me time. It is going to be a super busy 6 months. But it will be well worth it.

Clue me in? Is it actually possible to travel in a helicopter from New York to California? It seems like it would be too far of a distance for a helicopter ride?

@Leah, you know I have thought that same thing, but that is the only way I have seen them travel out of Manhattan. Maybe the helicopter takes them to some private airport. I have no idea. :)

they may have a private rented home in the hamptons to retire to???

I’m almost positive that the helicopter is taking them to and from a private airport because I’ve seen pics of them ariving by helicopter the a small airport.
Once again I notice Katie is wearing a turtleneck and blazer while everyone around her has shortsleeves on and Suri is wearing a dress. I guess we will never know why except she must be the most cold natured person i’ve ever seen.

Starkist (cute name!), I’m with you; I’m completely baffled as to why you NEVER see Katie out in about in a short sleeve shirt. Nothing wrong with her arms or she wouldn’t have been wearing those summer dresses in the play. I just don’t get it! Turtlenecks especially, those are soooo uncomfortable and should only wear them in the snow!

Starkist and Leah, there is a poster here who said she knew Katie back in her DC days and that she does have a health condition. I am not sure how true this is but I am inclined to agree based on the fact that she seems cold most of time and wears sweaters even in the hot temperatures. I hope she is well taken care off. I am sure she is. People have been known to collapse with exhaustion during a broadway run. Now couple that with illness, not a good combination at all. I don’t doubt though that she is in good hands.

Jenna I think she was called *Katie* or something. She said Katie’s mom sent her post cards. She seemed to know Katie rather well. Hasn’t posted in a while.
