Hollywood is a small town. Sooner or later you run into your ex boyfriend, lover, or husband. It must of been awkward for Cruise and Katie to run into Josh Hartlet especially after people are speculating that either Chris Klein or Josh Harlett are Suri’s real father. And there was Naomi Watts last week at Health’ memorial service. Naomi is a close friend of Nicole Kidman which explains why attended LAST WEEK”S memorial service and not this past weekend. I think these memorial services are in layers. The real close friends were there last week. The not so close friends were there this week.

Honestly, the connection is TomKat are trying to look like caring..associates.
I have a feeling this memorial service was more for PR for those who were not invited to real memorial.
Someone had the good question: WHERE WERE ALL THESE CARING PEOPLE WHEN HEATH WAS DYING AND DOING DRUGS?
Although, they do say in order to get off drugs, the person has to be willing to do it themselves.

This is true that ONE has to be willing to give up drugs, however, there are things as intervention.
I believe that is what happened to Britney Spears.
She was OUT OF CONTROL and her parents FINALLY stepped in to help her get back on track. Where were all these people to help Heath? Sorry, but I don’t buy all these tributes. There is so much hypocritise in Hollywood and image is what drives the majority.

Did you see the pics on dlisted of the two of them leaving the service. TC was holding Katie in support again and she had her hands cupped outwards away from his hands. I reminded me of someone supporting another person who is infirmed and not quite cognizant of what is going on around them.

I saw that beyond disturbing picture of him gripping her wrist….HER WRIST!!!! We’ve been saying all along that he clutches onto her in a very abnormal fashion, but that was just…..disturbing

I never said he died from overdose. His drug problem was quite well known, though. There are videos of him doing them and his fiancee (?) left him because of drugs.

It is disturbing, more so than usual. She is very out of it and I too agree that it is from the situation she married. Even during her promo tours, she looked great on the outside, the clothes and make-up, but even then she was very reserved and, to a certian extent, out of it. I watched that Letterman interview from when she first started dating him and the one now, and she is so reserved and aged now. She is not the carefree young woman who started dating Cruise. Motherhood and marriage don’t age someone that much.
She is just aging fast and it is sad. It don’t recall being married to Cruise ever being so hard on someone.

yep it’s true……she has aged considerably. Even Brooke SHields who is a lot older than kh looks beautiful and radiant, with two children, AJ is beyond gorgeous with a MUCH fuller schedule and more children…gwen stefani…beautiful and vibrant young mother. Only kh, and I mean ONLY kh looks like a wreck….well, BS looks like a wreck too……..

Someone posted an article on here about how people don’t want a MTV (?) video of Ledger doing drugs to be aired. They said it would be in bad taste, and I agree.
Apparently, Ms. Holmes even logged in her protest about that video being aired on TV.
So, it does exist. Whether you can view it or not is another story.

It isn’t that incriminating though!
To me it is sad that someone with all of the resources at his fingertips felt that the only thing that would make him feel better was drugs.
I feel that there isn’t a whole lot anyone could have done to help him, you really need to help yourself! Intervention doesn’t always mean healing!
As far as the wrist holding, my husband does that a lot! I think it is more of a control thing! Who knows-maybe I’m more mentally unstable than I think!!!!

I think she is also depressed. Mary Kate’s sister Ashley was sitting front row at one of the Fashion Week’s shows. I think Katie’s bubble burst and she is not excited and beaming about her career. I am not happy this is happening but it might make her realize that she might actually have to have real acting talent to make it to the long haul. Hollywood is a tough town. I mean, look at Lindsey Lohan, I think I read somewhere that she used to say she was the most talented actress in her age range working. She used to go to restaurants and night clubs where she knew the press would be. Lohan was clearly ADDICTED to attention. The same goes for Briteny Spears and Paris Hilton. I mean every night they were seen buying coffee or desserts at Pinkberry. Don’t they have an expresso machine at home? Can’t they order in? No, because then they wouldn’t be photographed. The hardest thing about celebrity is when you are no longer in demand. That is too much for some people to handle. They get paid a ridiculous amount of money and they should invest it and not snort it up their nose because you don’t know how long you will be in demand.
I mean, even if Katie and Cruise get divorced and she gets a decent settlement,unless they are married 10 years I doubt she will walk away a very wealthy woman. The problem with her current lifestyle is that the plane belongs to Cruise, the friends, the connection, the influence. When they split up I don’t think she will be able to adjust to a realistic lifestlye. Look at Marla Maples, Donald Trump’s ex wife. When they got married she immediately was seen wearing a very expensive fur coat to a baseball game and it was a warm afternoon in New York. She was photographed at Mar a lago, in his plane, helicopter, in his Trump Tower, etc. When they got divorced she moved to Los Angeles and put several states between them because she knew the people in New York were going to side with The Donald. The same will happen with Katie. People will side with Cruise because even if he loses popularity he still has more wealth than Katie. I don’t see this couple staying together 10 years. Katie’s mother said she was a very head strong child. I bet Katie will get payback when Suri grows up and she will be a head strong child. I think Katie is not the little mouse Cruise thought she was. She looks like she is a very opinated person and that is probably frustrating to Cruise.

What Leo, no pics of the poor hawk!! I am sorry, but this is ridiculous from a man desperately trying to regain some of his reputation. I doubt he really cares about his beard, I mean, wife. I agree with the article that when you take Cruise’s rescues all together, there is something fishy.
I usually think celebs helping when they can is great, but every time I hear about Cruise doing something, it is so…unbelievable. Especially considering he only does dramatic things to help anyone. I am sure in LA alone, he could go to the local soup kitchen and help out, throw a party for the homeless, maybe hirer some of those homeless to do some work for him, buy clothes for the needy, etc., etc., etc.
In terms of Katie’s depression, I think she is finally realizing that she is not going to be in the limelight as an actress or fashion model and the female half of a ‘Golden Couple’ like Nicole was. I am sure it also upsets her that Nicole came out her contract or marriage riding a great wave. Katie produced the bio kid, unlike Nicole, and she is tumbling in the surf. (I have no doubt Katie compares herself to Nicole. She is reminded of her when she sees Connor and Bella. And now Nicole is the one getting attention and mag covers for being preggo and not her.)
Katie bought into all this and she is earning her reward. She should have realized the gamble she was taking. Also, she knew what she was signing Suri up for the rest of her life. I can’t imagine how KH is living with the Scientology Princess idea that she helped to groom and create.
I wonder if Katie is crying, as the GH article says she is, because of the Scientology Princess idea or because KH herself really isn’t an important part of the Scientology Princess plans for something other than for her womb. I also wonder if she will soon be cut-off slowly from Suri; thus, ending her as MOM. (Well, she did it to Nicole and so she should have seen that one coming. She wasn’t even married or had Suri when she began helping with that one. It amazes me how these dingbats always go along with these things, think it won’t happen to them, and then boo-hoo when it starts happening to them.)

I am in one of those states that will be going out to vote today in Super Tuesday. I’m in sunny Los Angeles, California. However, I voted via Absentee Ballot about 3 weeks ago. I’m a Republican who voted for Guiliani (who as you know dropped out already) but I believe Hillary Clinton will win the primary and possibly become the next president of the United States. Its just a feeling I have. We’ll see… There is a lot of excitement in the local news, communities, cities out here in Southern California. This election is a big deal here.

saw 20/20 last night. That “kid” is one arrogant SOB. After watching, I don’t think the video will be enough to get him. I say this because he lied about the identity of the friend that dumped her body and also about making a phone call from the pool area at the Marriott. Yesterday, I read that phone records had already been checked for this phone a couple of years ago and no calls were made during the evening/early morning hours. Personally, I think his dad helped him dump her body. I also think there is more to the story than her having a “seizure” because he kept stating in the videos that he sure was lucky that her body wasn’t found. This tells me that her body would show she was murdered. Just my opinion.
BTW, the following link says exactly what we’ve all been saying for a year now about Tom and Katie using Suri for publicity.

Libra: These kinds of idiots always find someone who will date and marry them. I remember reading somewhere of a foreign woman who was trying to get permission to marry a guy on death row. She said she loved him. She had been writing him for several years before the request for marriage. (Although, the guy would be the perfect spouse: She wouldn’t have to deal with him in the home.)
This woman is one of numerous examples of women and sometimes men who fall for people like this.
My question for this guy: If she died from natural causes or a seizure, why not call the police any way or say what happened? You only hide a body when you have something to hide. I find it interesting how they kept going after him. They must have had something on him.
How did Natalie meet this guy anyway?
I feel for the girl’s family because they have not known all these years. That, to me, would be worse than knowing what happened.

She was 18 years old. What the heck was she doing at a bar? Jeez, i am beginning to think she was a bit dumb in this situation. She didn’t deserve to be killed or hurt, but she does share some of the responsibility for the situation she ended up in. I think some people made some bad decisions in this situation and unfortunately someone ended up dead. Her parents for sending her unchapheroned to Aruba (I got the impression they weren’t there); whoever the adult in charge was, if any; Natalie for going to bars and leaving with someone she didn’t know; etc.
Yes, the guy still needs to be punished too. I wonder if this was accidental murder rather than pre-meditated and he just got scared and covered it up.

been reading all your comments but been too busy to blog- lots going on huh? was watching primary results (have always voted but not usually the primary-this time I will for sure- first time in a long time I have been really following closely-this will be an exciting year) I was flipping channels- found a program- think it was VH1’s 40 greatest pranks- they showed the clip of TC getting squirted by that reporter’s fake microphone- it was hilarious! then they mimicked him chastising the fake reporter and showed the clip a few more times- all the while making fun of him and mocking him- how he went from a fake laugh to a scowl. I think he showed a bit of his real self there- nasty,condescending, with no sense of humor. loved it!!!!
just a quick comment on the AJ/BP, TC/KH debate. I don’t think they can be compared- they are worlds apart- separately and as couples.
one couple is generous, genuine, loving, affectionate to each other and the children, giving of themselves and their time, etc, etc. the other is none of the above. I could say tons more on this issue but you can guess where I stand. I try not to judge anyone’s personal life unless it affects children- then my blood pressure goes up!

Well, ng, if you are correct, enjoy your money now. Because Senator Clinton has said she will garnish EVERYONE’s wages to pay for universal health care to all. In coutries where they have this universal health, they already pay at least 40-50% of their income in taxes and they don’t have the problem with illegals that we have. So, we will pay more!!!
Also, the quality of health care is not as great here.

I’m a Republican but the horse I betted on, Guiliani dropped out AFTER I mailed in my absentee ballot 3-4 weeks ago. And so I think Hillary will be the winner in November after a SLOW DANCE with McCain. I really think people are looking for an agent of change and whoever is able to articulate that vision will be the winner. Of course, you all know that spin doctors, marketing, etc. all play a role in getting your vote.

He could have died accidentally but if he was using the other drugs I mentioned it was a matter of time before he died from these drugs.

Apparantley he gave up illegal drugs for the sake of his daughter. All the current drug talk surrounding him is just speculation which the tabloids use to make money. Not much was said about it before he died. But all i was saying was I was glad to read that he didnt commit suicide. There was no illegal drugs in his system. Im sure that is a great relief for his family and maybe one day for his daughter. Who knows why people turn to drugs. Pressure?? Stress?? We will never know unless we walk in their shoes.

Candice: I agree with you that its a relief to a family, a mother and father that their son did not commit suicide because that brings on a lot of issues regarding family history, eternity, sin, etc. I don’t know their religion but I think death is the final act and you don’t want your last act to be suicide. Everything in this life is temporary. Everything passes. I always remind myself of this: joy, pain, fears, etc., and so when I’m happy I tell myself enjoy it because this will pass. When I’m worried about something I tell myself, everything is temporary, HANG ON, this will also pass.”
Sometimes people forget that everything in this life is temporary and so you have to know what your purpose in life is and invest in that. Material things and money are very important to a certain degree but they are not everything. Life is a balancing act.

I bet Katie’s parents are probably MORTIFIED that she is married to a Scienotoligst especially now that that YouTube video was leaked because lets face it, SOMETIMES we do care about what our friends will think especially when what they are thinking is true; your daughter has married for $$$ and sold her soul to a Scientologist and now your granddaughter Suri will probably never hear about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, scriptures, all of these things will be foreign to her. She doesn’t look happy to me. She looks very different from 2-3 weeks ago when they were arriving to New York and she was about to begin promoting her movie Mad Movie. She looked very excited and happy. You can wear the best makeup, dress, hairstyle but when you are not really happy, it SHOWS on your face. She looks fragile to me and it looks like whoever made this dress (I don’t think a designer dress) picked up the hemline right before she walked out the door. I think this dress is one of Katie’s designs. And so I guess they are back in New York City. Cruise looks like he’s picked up a few pounds. And he also doesn’t look really happy. He looks like he’s TRYING to look happy, life is good.

Probably Cruise took Katie to New York for this week’s Fashion Week (although its almost over), to cheer her up. Posh was since this morning at a Toronto airport and so she’s already left New York. And that all important photograph of celebrities sitting in the front row has already been taken of Posh, Claudia Shiffer, and Dita. Probably Cruise took Katie to New York for this week’s Fashion Week (although its almost over), to cheer her up. Posh was seen this morning at a Toronto airport and so she’s already left New York. And that all important photograph of celebrities sitting in the front row has already been taken of Posh, Claudia Shiffer, and Dita. I think Morton’s book hit a home run. I don’t think Cruise will recover from this because one thing about videos, films, books once they are released they are out of your control, people can see/read them again and again and decide for themselves what kind of person you are and what your agenda is. I am betting that this is one of many things that are depressing Katie Holmes.
I see pictures of Suri and I just do not understand HOW a mother can subject her child to this life. This is something I could not do and could not even imagine being in this position.
By the way, the church of Scientology kept saying they were going to file a lawsuit against Morton for writing this book but I have not heard of any lawsuits being filed? If the COS does this it will only fan the fires and it will really become a subject of conversation the way the YOU TUBE video was.
I read the Morton book and I don’t think there was anything in it that was malicious or vicious. It seem to convey things that seem factual about Cruise and Katie.
And the COS seems to say they are happy that a lot of people saw the YOUTUBE video YET they kept threatening people to take down the video because they were violating copyright laws. I think they are like the boy that cried wolf, they won’t do anything about this book because it more factual than defamation of character.

Katie has lost more weight and Cruise seems to have gained a few pounds. I guess he needs to be “cleared” of the stress and disappointment he’s feeling. Some people GAIN/LOSE weight when they are depressed, under stress, pressure, etc. He looks like he’s putting on weight. I bet they had deals that they projected to bring in $$$ that fell through.
Cruise went from being the “biggest movie star in the world” to being one of the most disgusting humans on this planet.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen these two photographed at an event to raise awareness about Africa . . . a tad late, I’m afraid, for me to buy that they have any remote interest in alleviating the suffering that is going on there. I wouldn’t be surprised if this dress she is wearing is one of her own designs. I just can’t see this as being something from Azai, Armani, Calvin Klein, etc. It does look tacky and looks like one of the first dresses I made in Home Economics when I was in the 10th grade in high school. The hemline looks like it just went up minutes before she walked out the door. Although I think Katie and Suri both look good in red.

I am not sure which is brighter: her dress or her shoes?? I am guessing the shoes are to match the hunk of gold on her wrist. Either way, they don’t look great together. I thought she had all these fashion consultants at her disposal or is a case of the ‘Emperor’s new clothes’ where the yes-women tell her she looks great no matter what.
The dress has definate angles and they aren’t soft angles either. Is that the latest fashion? It does look like a home ec. project. Again, I thought she had all this money and consultants. I doubt she is sewing this herself.
In terms of Cruise, is he auditioning for the role of Hugh Hefner or something? That is my impression of these suits he wears.
I guess to contrast these two: AJ is in Iraq visiting the troops and refugees. She is putting her feet where her mouth is. No pics yet, so she can go without cameras. (Yes, I do recognize her work. I still don’t think she is better than anyone else.)
I guess we should be praising these guys for at least showing up for a ‘benefit’ dinner and KH using a benefit like this to parade as a fashion model. She is actually standing tall with her shoulders back for once. So she can walk without slouching.
You can tell when he leaves her in the spotlight to be photographed alone that he is trying to ’show off’ her dress. So, I agree that this is KH’s design they are debuting. Again, this seems a bit tacky for a so-called charity event…almost narcissitic on both of their parts. Are they there because they care about Malawi or to model fashion that no one else would put their label on?
I think SPLASH said it best: Her styles keep getting older and older. How sad that she is 29 going on 44.

Yep, I suspect this dress is something she designed. I think it looks tacky but I like the color red on her. Madonna has definitely had plastic surgery done on her face. They are in a business where image and talent reign surpreme only image might keep you there a bit longer than if you were ordinary looking.

I agree NG. She gets her hands dirty although now that the press is there taking pics etc its not going to be as important as it would of been if she did it on the quiet which i think is pretty sad. I also think its great how she shot down the interviewer for asking about her “pregnancy”. She was making sure the trip was not centered around her and that issues need to be addressed other than gossip. I would love to see tomkat in africa addressing important issues instead of just at a fundrasier. Although you cant really look past a donation of $100,000 (and im sure the people it helps couldnt give a hoot where it came from) you just have to wonder if it was done for the right reasons.

It is interesting how both Madonna and Cruise reached the pinacle of their careers, both became successful in their own right and both realized that material things make you happy to a certain extent but they both pursued something spritual. Madonna pursued Kaballa and Cruise Scientology. Both have also struggled in their personal relationships. Cruise has 3 marriages under his belt and Madonna many relationships and 2 marriages under her belt and both are rumored to be bisexual or gay.
I find it amusing that Rose O’Donnell used to pretend to have a crush on Tom Cruise knowing that she was gay and possibly he is gay. Hollywood is a strange town.

I agree with most of what people are saying here. That red dress isn’t particularly attractive and kind of looks like it was thrown together at the last minute. I do think her hair and make up look pretty though. TC is another matter….he has apparantly lost whatever appeal he once had and in that suit he reminds me of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland…all he needs is the top hat.
I agree that the charitible contributions and sudden interest in Africa seem to be a little convenient given the current feeling about this couple but at least they are doing something good even if it is maybe for selfish reasons. I am sure that the people that money will help don’t care about the reason it is given.

I don’t know if you can compare the two but I agree that both of them have seen the top of their careers and are on the way out- one much faster and more drastic- but both “has-beens”
