Tom Cruise Pays Tribute to Paul Newman
Beloved actor and philanthropist Paul Newman will grace the cover of the next issue of PEOPLE. Included inside the pages is a multiple page tribute, part of which is from Tom Cruise. Tom and Paul were co-stars in the 1986’s “Color of Money”.
Here’s what Tom had to say about his good friend:
“He was bigger than life to me. But he always had a way of putting us all at ease … he called me cruiser or sometimes kid. We would grab time to hang out whenever we could find it.
“His life will forever inspire me. The world has lost an icon; I have lost an idol.”
I’ve posted the trailer from “The Color of Money” below.

I am old enough to remember the reviews from this film. Paul Newman really took Tom Cruise under his wing and they became very good friends,
