I loved the interview, and I got to see it on TV not on these low quality vids! I loved it! I can’t wait to see Monday’s show! These vids are circulating real fast but youtube hasn’t gotten their hands on them yet!

My guess is that TC got a really smart PR person (after firing his sister) who coached him on what he needed to say. He comes off as very sincere, but this doesn’t match with what he says when he speaks to a CO$ audience. Even with editing, his views were clear on those CO$ tapes.

It IS the parents’ choice about whether to use ADHD meds- teachers and doctors can’t force it. I work with kids- while it is not unusual for stressed parents to push for meds for kids who DON’T need it, doctors can only force the use of meds in cases where the child’s life is at risk.

Doesn’t look like Katie is getting many of those cupcakes…

Loved the photo of Suri with her brother- she clearly adores him.

Am I the only one who thinks Tom Cruise would be the perfect man for the ressurection of Johnny Cage in mortal kombat?

If you wonder why I ask, check out the preview of Tom’s Monday show!

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t get with some of that interview. I saw that Matt Lauer interview when he gave it. He didn’t mention a thing about kids and medications then. Just wondering where it’s coming from now. On the plus side, he seems like he truly loves his kids. Maybe that religion or something else just made him a little misguided.

    Definately a fluff interview

    May 2, 2008 at 10:57 pm

I ditto the comment about Matt Lauer. He spinned it because comments to Lauer had absolutely nothing to do with kids and was all about drugs for post partem depression. Given the way Oprah was responding, she knew it too, but she didn’t push it. And, about the sonogram, honestly, how often does a 27 year old woman have a sonogram during her pregnancy? He was afaid it was going to hit the Internet? Who is he kidding? He’s a good actor, but not that good.

    May 2, 2008 at 11:04 pm

I think he meant, that children’s drugging was more significant to him, like, that was the worst part of prescribing these drugs, but the topic of Brooke distracted him from talking about that, but maybe, because he had Suri, he saw that, really, adults have more control of their lives and can make choices about if they want to be taking those kind of drugs but kids don’t, and sometimes parents are told to do it, like the people on welfare, if you don’t give your kids the drugs, they will take the kids away from you and put em in foster care.

tom did say a lot about kids on drugs with matt he told the truth and people still not happy you cant please everybody he did not use the machine the doctor did he kept that quiet and fooled a lot of people who did not see thw doc anyway im glad he kept baby to themselves im so proud to be his fan he loves his kids he loves his family and kates thats good enough for me so sad talking about how they did his kid so sad he said it best go after him all you want but not his kids very powerful

  • tyler
    May 2, 2008 at 11:37 pm

Any parent should be willing to jump in front of a moving train for their child so I don’t get how his statement is so powerful. Will be interesting to see if this turns things around for him and Kate.

It was once said that the sonogram machine was purchased because the paparazzi storm was so intense when they left the house. I don’t think it was the number of sonograms as much as it was they did not want the paparazzi to find out where/who the doctor was. And then from there, maybe find out more information.

  • Lauren
    May 3, 2008 at 2:40 am

I am proud to be Tom’s fan too. He did talk about kids on drugs. I remember clearly because I watched the interview a number of times. Of course every one remembers the comments on Brooke Shields and the glib comment.

He comes off as sincere because I think he is sincere. He seems to have a happy family and I guess that has kept him strong throughout all this. I think it was time he spoke out and got his side heard. Like Michael Jackson said, when a rumour is heard too many times, it starts sounding like the truth and eventually it is taken to be the truth.

I am sure to the public which matters the most, people will judge for themselves what is true and what is fiction. Whether to believe Tom or star magazine. Many people are very rational you will find.

    May 3, 2008 at 5:23 am

I think the interview was very sincere, tom has a beautiful wife and family who has every right to be proud of. I think this interview just showed tom in his true light of being an honest and genuine person, perhaps now all these press will leave him and his family alone to enjoy their lifes together as a family and stop printing all this crap about them. I am a mother myself of a two year old little girl and I applaude the way that Tom and Kate deal with the lies that are spread about their family, i can only imagine how cutting this must be. I wish them all the love in the world for the future.

I thought th einterview was fantastic. He came off as sincere, calm, and actually quite “normal”. He looked well rested, and spoke quietly. No extreme inflections or facial expressions. I thought he did a great job and I was so happy to get a glimpse of Katie as well. I have to wonder though, cupcakes and sweets shown twice in the video, a Santa suit, etc. These items were NOT accidents. These items shown were brilliantly planned to address the gossip out there (ie. Katie is anorexic b/c of TC, and TC and the kids are not allowed to celebrate XMAS b/c of TC’s Scientology religion.) Very clever Public relations moves….very clever. The family photos are beautiful. I loved the large one with both their families. Honestly, for a hot New York minute I kinda wished I was part of it!!

With that Matt Lauer interview Tom did indeed speak about kids and drugs.
I thought that was a fantastic interview.

Just because he says it enough does NOT make it true.

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 9:17 am

I didn’t remember the part about the kids on Matt Lauer, so I retract my statement. I guess his comments about Brooke Shields made a much bigger impact. And, yes, the PR yesterday was superb. I also thought it was brilliant when asked who his friends were, he remembered not to mention the best man from his wedding, David Miscaviage, but mentioned only his sisters. Amazing.

  • sherry
    May 3, 2008 at 9:20 am

I missed it so I’ve only seen pieces of the interview online. I’m going to check out the whole thing here, but what I did see was great. I still think Scientology is really weird but he seems like he genuinely cares about his family.

Also, that house? Gorgeous. I love that it’s not over the top with glitz - it’s big and beautiful but it’s so rustic looking. Definitely my kind of house.

  • PuckHappy
    May 3, 2008 at 9:29 am

AND he remembered not to mention the best man from his wedding, David Miscaviage, also went on the “honeymoon” with him!

You Tube The History of Psychiatry. Or google transcript of tc and Matt Lauer interview. You will see that in the 6 min interview, kids and drugs are mentioned maybe 3 times. The majority of the time tc is telling Matt that both Brooke and Matt do NOT understand but tc KNOWS and the others don’t. classic!

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 9:39 am

puck, when oprah asked about his friends, he stalled for several seconds and i remember thinking, wow, doesn’t this guy know who his friends are? then, i remembered past statements he made about how he and miscaviage are like brothers so you’d think he’s be somewhere on the list with his sisters LOL.

I like the cleaver tc response when “O” asked him how long he has owned that house, “Awhile”.
Okay, he has owned it for awhile but all of the rooms were built for Suri. It was Oprah that had to bring up that the rooms were Bella and Connors BEFORE they were Suri’s.

AND you SO know that she wanted to say it was Nicole’s home BEFORE it was KatIE’s house!

  • g...nah!
    May 3, 2008 at 11:31 am

I watched this whole episode. and even tho he was a little nutty in the past, he was very sincere and he knows he acted like a bit of a fool but, i love how he said to basically not mess with his kids! that is what every parent would say! i have two, and i always say, attack me all you want, but involve my kids, and its war! I thought this was a great interview and the house is beautiful. and who cares if Nicole lived in it before!!! She doesnt now! I can wait to see monday’s episode!!! congrats on a successful 25 yrs in the bizz…hope for 25 more!!!

  • Mary
    May 3, 2008 at 12:53 pm

He did not say the rooms were built for Suri, he said the rooms were transformed to a playroom.

The home is now his and Katie’s……………The home that NK and Tom had in Darling Point, Australia is now Nicole’s and Keith’s.

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 2:08 pm

i noticed that too, puck. pretty sure he dodged the question cause he didn’t want nicole’s name to come up. he looked really startled when oprah reminded him that he had been in loved before. at least she spared him the reminder that this is his third marriage LOL.

  • Eliza Ferree
    May 3, 2008 at 2:53 pm

Thank you for posting this. For me I loved Suri’s little tea room. The view was gorgeous outside, no wonder why they visit so often. The house really seems down to earth not very techy like I thought.

  • PuckHappy
    May 3, 2008 at 3:04 pm

Actually Mary that home was sold as part of the divorce and Nicole bought another one. She kept it under wraps so not to embarrass tc or disrupt the children.

    May 3, 2008 at 3:15 pm

bottom line, he has to keep his new movie studio alive and kicking. i would bet the interview was more of a business decision than anything else. he badly needs to repair his image cause he’s probably got some irate investors on his hands.

    Curious:

Does the Cos believe in xmas or not? I am confused about that.

  • Lauren
    May 3, 2008 at 3:49 pm

Kelly, scientologists believe in whatever they want and think is true. A little confusing I know. I guess Katie wanted some santa traditions for Suri to remember.

I love Tom’s house because of the simplicity and beauty. I also liked what Oprah said about wishing him the peace that is in the mountains. He deserves a break.

Whatever his motication for this interview, the bottom line is he has a right to defend himself against the allegations. Non fans wondered why people defended him and why he could not speak for himself, he is doing that now and they are still complaining. There is no pleasing some people.

I am glad that he FINALLY has spoken out and has addressed all the horrible allegations. Its about time……its his family and he, as the man, needs to defend them. Not that I am a TC true blue fan, but I believe that there was too much swirling around out there and as a husband and a father he needed to address the allegations.

    May 3, 2008 at 5:30 pm

    Kelly:

Christmas is the celebration of Christ’s birth. As people raised Catholics, Cruise adn Katie should not know that. It goes to show you how much Katie really believed if she only cares about Santa (the worldly part of Christmas) for Suri.

Scientology believes that Christ was a h o m o and that Christianity is enslaving the people and keeping them from progressing in this world. L.ROn also saw Scientology as the anti-Christ.

So, do Scientologist believe in Christmas? They want you to think they do so you will join their cult and give your money to them, but NO!

Nor do they celebrate Easter, except when they need more PR for themselves.

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 5:44 pm

They’re not allowed to celebrate things like Christmas and Easter, in the religous sense. It’s against their rules. But, dressing up like Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny is probably okay. Cruise’s use of that pic sends the wrong message to viewers. Intentional? Who knows.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:10 pm

Tyler: Sorry, but Christmas and Easter ARE religious holidays. Why else are they celebrated? It is like taking Ramadan. Hannukah, Passover or Purim and celbrating them because fasting all day is the new in-thing to do or you like the idea of lighting candles and getting a present.

IT IS INSULTING TO BELIEVERS OF THAT FAITH!!

It also denigrates the REAL reason the holidays are celebrated!!

    Christmas: Christ’s birth

    Easter: His death and resurrection.

I guess everyone is trying to pretend to be Christian so they can get the hand-outs!!

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:11 pm

It is even more insulting coming from a group of people (Scientologists like Holmes and Cruise) whose cult is fighting against it!!

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 6:16 pm

No one, I agree with you, but do you think getting dressed up in a red suit or like a rabbit is truly symbolic of either religious holiday? Cruise probably did the red suit thing, not for Suri, who is going to be a Scientologist after all, but to pacify Kate.

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 6:26 pm

    No One,
I didn’t see that part of the interview so I didn’t know he actually wished his little girl a Merry Christmas. That changes everything. I’m with you 100% now.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:31 pm

Oh, I agree Tyler, he did it to humor the wife. He said in the interview that she ‘designed the suit for him’. With his tone, you would think she would have invented the entire concept.

I think the Christmas thing is to pacify not only Katie, who said she loved playing Santa for Suri, but also her family too.

No Scientology in recent years has been becoming more noticeable in the Christmas celebrations. It is a joke after what I read about their beliefs.

I think Katie needs to do some soul searching about her beliefs because she is eventually going to realize that Suri will not be raised in a religion that believes what she does. Unfortunately, Katie signed Suri and herslef up while cruise was dangling the credit card in front of her.

  • tyler
    May 3, 2008 at 6:37 pm

The thing is when you’re raising a child there’s no time to reflect. The days come and go and all focus is on caring for that bundle of joy. Maybe her faith was never that strong to begin with so becoming a Scientologist will be easier than some suspect. Only she knows.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:48 pm

For the record, I have nothing against these people. I don’t get half the rumors out there and I think they are way over the top. Their cult is another thing!!

My opinion about the whole matter: Katie did have lust/love/whatever at first. I think most of it had to do with Cruise’s image, the fact she could be the next Nicole Kidman, etc. I also think she is growing up and realizing that it is all not a bed of roses. She does love his money–she certainly shops enough and can drop $100,000 in one afternoon without a second thought. But, she is working to earn it.

Tom, I am sure has some feelings too, but mostly that some 20-something nobody wanted him and worshipped him. Honestly, why would a 40 year old man go for a 20-something chick? They are at different points in their lives. Maybe he wanted to create the next Nicole Kidman. Maybe his ego couldn’t handle being with someone his equal in status in Hollywood.
Tom likes younger looking women. If you look at all his wives, they keep decreasing in age by 10-12 years. This is not coincidence.

Yes, I think Katie worships that man and Tom’s ego loves it. Look at all her interviews when she discusses him. She is still worshipping him and his status. No woman who considers herself her husband’s equal says half the things she does.

Suri: Katie’s way to keep her hands on Tom’s credit cards and insure she would be in the picture for awhile…or at least child support. Women still get themselves pregnant to keep a man. It happens every day!! Either way, that little girl is loved; almost to the point of spoiling. I think mom and dad put so much into her now because there is not much left between them.

I keep picturing in mind, though, pics of scraggly old Jack Nicholson with a 20 year old babe when I think of these two. But not quite dramatic!

Anywho, they have their family. It is very centered on Suri, which makes me feel for Bella and Connor. I am sure it is not lost on them that Suri is the Princess of the family. I also believe if Cruise has a son, Connor will be pushed out of the picture. Cruise himself said he wanted a son of his own. That has to hurt Connor!! And I am sure it hurts BElla that Suri has replaced her. Suri was Cruise’s savior. What were the other two, a burden!

Why I come? The conversation! and to watch this train wreck unfold.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:51 pm

Tyler, I have three very close in age. I have time to think about these things and I don’t have a nanny, cook, personal groomer, etc. I think it also has to with what you waste your time thinking about–like commenting about these two. I admit, even with this being less 5% of my life, it is still way too much time.

Unfortunately working at a computer for a few hours a day, I need to distract myself with something that takes very little thought.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 6:53 pm

You’re right, it is her life and she has to live it the way she wants. I was under the impression she was a devout Catholic and pledged publicly no s e x before marriage. Obviously it did not mean much–Suri was born out of wedlock. So, in terms of truth from her, I am not believing it.

  • No One Special
    May 3, 2008 at 7:18 pm

I am sure some of you will have a feeding frenzy on this one.

No matter what any of us think, who are any of us to really sit here and discuss these people’s lives. How would you like anyone psycho-analyzing your life–good or bad–the way we do here?

If it is bad, it can be hurtful. If it is good, you are really giving them a very high standard to live up to that no one can. We are not allowing these folks to be human, either way!!

I think it is a sad commentary on all of us that we waste so much time on these two. Seriously, are all our lives this pathetic that we have to sit here and pass judgement on someone else’s life? Is our lives that boring? Who the heck are we to do that anyway–certainly not GOD himself?

Before you get defensive, if your life is so full, why are you here gossiping about another’s? Curious about your responses to this questions.

Something I know I need to spend more time pondering because I do have a good life with a loving husband and three wonderful kids!!

  • PuckHappy
    May 3, 2008 at 7:51 pm

I agree with what both of you! Why do we say the things we say? Because we care.
We care about the Cruise children. We fear that Bella and Connor are kept from their mother and then that there father has replaced them.
We have all liked Tom in the past and we really don’t want to see him waste his life on this strange cult.
We care about KatIE. We watched her grow up as Joey Potter. I bet that many of us wanted to see Joey and Dawson get married.
While yes, it may comes across as psycho-analyzing their lives, we do it because we want to see success. NOT failure.
And right now tom is not the success that HE wants to be.
Just because he has more money then all of put together in all of our lives, does not mean he is happy with the direction his career is gong. That is obvious since he is out doing what we call “damage control”.

Again I think we all do it because we care. If a larger then life type person can fall, what does that mean about us average Joe’s?

We are not shallow. We really do care!

  • PuckHappy
    May 3, 2008 at 7:54 pm

AND I want to go on record…… as FREAKY, ICKY, and YUCKY as tc is, I’d marry him and live FULL TIME in Telluride!!!
Of course if he ever came to visit, he’d have to get a hotel room!!! haha

  • kelly
    May 3, 2008 at 8:39 pm

wow, thank you for those explantions! really interesting!

I read Dianetics years ago but dont remember a lot. But after hearing LRH’s son, it lost validity for me, but conceptually I can see why it can be helpful. Auditing….etc…
I do love and support Tom. But I will never truly understand why he has chosen Scientology, because it is not something I believe in. But my feeling is that it is not our business to judge. I do not understand why his public personna has to reflect the COS 100% to us, the fans. I dont care if he cant separate the two, I can.
My bottom line is that we all have things/beliefs that could judged, but I feel it is where we are in our own lives in what perspective we choose to focus on.

But just my opinion, I do love the debate, gets me to think about other opinions too.

  • kelly
    May 3, 2008 at 8:45 pm

For me the COS is more of a philosophy than a religion.

  • PuckHappy
    May 3, 2008 at 9:05 pm

That is what Co$ wants you to believe. But a “philosophy” does not keep you from those that do not want to follow it.
Buddhism is a philosophy that loves everyone and accepts everyone.

  • NG
    May 3, 2008 at 10:48 pm

No One Special: I had a very hectic day today but since I leave my computer on 24/7, I always pass by it to see breaking news and check in on my favorite blogs. Why do we care? I think a lot of what PuckHappy said is true, we care about children and we read about Scientology and you put those two things together and its frightening.

As I have mentioned several times before, I never really noticed Katie Holmes until last year June/July 2007 when she was photographed carrying Suri and then I thought what a precious looking child. And then all these things came out of Cruise and you felt bad for this little girl. Why? Because she is an innocent.

Last night there was a special on 20/20 and they ran a story of Madeline, the little girl that disappeared one year ago. Why is this interesting? Why is there still interest? Because she was a little girl, an innocent who possibly was kipnapped and killed or something has happened to her and one cannot hear that type of news and just forget because we’re human.

I think with Suri or any other child, you hope they are okay. However they (Cruise and Katie) raise Suri that will be their decision. I don’t think anyone here thinks they can take that away from them.

NG/Puck: I can see what you are saying. I guess for me, the reason I stopped and ‘gossiped’ about these two is because there are so many lies surrounding both of them. I hate the blatant lies. I wonder if they think people are that stupid or something. Something is not right in Cruiseland and I want to know what it is.

Tyler: Agree with you too. Ease up, but not disappear. I have to see how all this crap shoveling plays out.

Maybe that is why the other Hollywood couples are not as interesting–they seem genuine and mundane.

  • No One Special
    May 4, 2008 at 10:33 am

NG: KNOwing these two, they probably did. Katie must not want to debut a new haircut, so they did the lighter hair Suri. Maybe they are trying to convince that between Thursday in Chicago and Saturday in NY that Suri has been playing outside like a normal kid. No kid’s hair gets that light in two days without help from artificial sources.

  • Lauren
    May 4, 2008 at 11:06 am

NOS, It is interesting to note that you cannot stomach the lie that is Tom and Katie’s marriage and yet you gobble every tabloid lie even those that are blatant. Besides it still does not expalin balatant obsession with people you clearly dislike or you are a non fan of. Since I came to this site, you have not missed a day without visiting. You also appear on many other sites criticising Tom and Katie as battlemama or something else. Your style is obvious and you pretty much say the same things all the time. That is not healthy even for one fascinated by lies.

Suri’s hair may have a simple explanation for being lighter. Like someone pointed out on another site, it could be chlorine from a swimming pool. Kids are kids and you never know how she got that way. I am sure with time we will know. Three years on and we have learnt the truth about the sonogram.

Of course those eager to criticise as usual will but I find it hard to believe that Katie would lighten Suri’s hair when she hardly ever puts in anything like a ribbon or a hair band and Suri has had the same hair style for all the time we have known her.

What in the heck happens to these threads?

Hair changes color because of the elements. My two year old has had that happen. Born with black, turned dirty blond, turned blond, and now going back to dirty blond….all in two years!!!!

If some can’t take his interview for what it is, why are you still thinking about it? If you think he has a hidden agenda, do you think that of the people in your life? I sure hope not….that is too much thinking, too much worrying, and not making good relationships….only hurting them.

Take the good road - trust people, be positive, and take things for what they are.

Kelliquest, I couldn’t have said it better. The very people who said they would not watch the interview have watched it over and over again deissecting every word, nuance, breath, look etc. I guess I would never understand why someone hates another human being to the point of making it their life’s mission to ruin them.

JJ has more pictures of Suri, she is so gorgous that child and her hair seems darker.

Battlemama/ NOS. Your comment brought a smile on my face. How come you are so paranoid about being stalked when you find no issue with cyber stalking TC. I know he is a stranger but stalking is stalking and stalking a person you don’t like is very sick.

I have just seen so many comments from you on JJ with different names, you may deny it but the tone is so you. There is a desperate quality in your posts. You and Ng. It is as though you are trying to convince yourselves and every one that Tom Cruise is finished and failing miserably. Why else would you go to such pains to drum it on each and every tomkat thread?

Libra on the other hand sounds more of a stalker, gives a lot of info and boasts a lot about sending e-mails to Tom’s hairdresser, chef, stylist etc. LOL. She is also rude and abusive and very juvenile. I wonder what that makes those who eat up all her stories like gospel.

My advice is learn to do your own research before regurgitating what Libra and Ng tell you. You will sound more credible.

I thought you said you are here for conversation? I confused.

It is interesting that Lauren is critizing some people on this thread, but what she doesn’t explain is that Cruise will be after our hard earned dollars to go see his movies or projects. Do you actually think he can survive his A List status with just the fans that are on this thread or the Church of Scientology? The people he is trying to convince or get back into the fold are the same people that are now critizing him on several blogs. If you read the blogs’comments most people no longer respect him or Katie. He was once one of the biggest movie stars in the world, the box office receipts are there as evidence but that day has passed. He needs to win back the same people that are critizing him today. The only thing people like Lauren do is compound the fact the Cruise surrounds himself with people like her.

I just love the beauty of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Oprah said the same thing when she was doiing her interview with tom. It makes me wonder why she sold the home that she owned, the one that was near toms.
I do know that she bought a huge home on the California coast. Maybe she went for the beach scene since she gets enough snow in Chicago. haha

Tyler, Your words remind of an interview I recently heard with Ed Begley Jr. in which he told of the advice his father had SHOWN to him:
“Don’t TELL others how to conserve. SHOW them what YOU are already doing”.

I think of that often. While it has to do with earth conservation, we can apply it to other parts of our lives.

why do the militant fans take tomkat sooooooooooooooooo seriously? this is something i will never ever ever understand. even with pop culture as prominent as it’s become. jeez, you’d think tom cruise was a saint or someone who could do no wrong. honestly, tom is not my role model, and i am rather proud he isn’t. neither is kate.

i mean, defend martin luther king jr., fidel castro, mother theresa, leo tolstoy, mahatma gandhi…… people who’ve dedicated their lives to making other lives better…… honestly, tomkat is simply ENTERTAINMENT.
the serious singling out of individual bloggers, and downright nastiness….. this is something i can’t understand. and to any neutral people out there, i think it’s seriously off-putting!

Thanks for the kind words tyler. You still don’t have sarcasm down. Sometimes am being sarcastic, I guess I will have to say when.

I don’t hate any one here, just can’t stand it when they pretend here and go on other sites saying vile things.

Ng, am not scientologist. I doubt any of them would be as blunt as I am. I say it as it is. I see you are still convincing yourself that he is old news. If believing that helps you go to sleep, then by all means believe it. Just ask yourself why you would be bothering tarnishing the image of a fallen star all over the internet as it is your favourite pass time. No one burns ashes, nope.

  • Lauren
    May 4, 2008 at 3:23 pm

If I were TC, I would never bother to try and win back some one who hops from site to site attacking me because of my beliefs. Who calls my children and my wife names. Some people are beyong redemption. I am sure he can afford to miss that ticket. Besides, nothing he says or does can change an opinion that derailed (sorry can’t find another word) or if there is it is not worth it.

From all your posts on different site, I don’t see any of them showing that you want to be won over, most of your posts are just to convince yourself and others like you that he is a fallen star who people now watch and are interested in because he is too fallen, If that makes sense.

I don’t cyber stalk TC. I come here and then to other site to discuss with two different groups of people. I don’t troll the sites for ammunition to spew hate, unlike some here, and then report back what someone else said and criticize them. Also, I sure hope Cruise has more credibility than you Lauren, because less than 48 hours ago, you said you would stop being nasty for the umpteenth time.

I doubt Cruise needs nasty liars like you to protect him.

In terms of movies, I go for the plot, not the actors.

Unfortunately folks, as Julie said the last time issues with IT came up, she is clearly trying to hide by not using a real URL. In other words, Lauren doesn’t want to be found.

The last moderator of this site had to require a log-in with a real e-mail account to curb people like IT. That way they could legitimately block someone who was intentionally being nasty. I sure hope they go back to that.

honestly, i couldn’t care less about tomkat. obviously, you care so much about them that you have to hop from site to site to defend such trailblazers for humanity. and in comparison to others, they are really lacking. just my opinion, of course. and so, you can attack me all you want, my opinion is not going to change. they are entertaining b/c they are extreme and silly.

i’m glad we have something in common, for i like castro as well. no, his vilifiers are not less juvenile, i don’t think. did you know, for instance, the CIA had this ploy to put hair-loss chemicals into fidel’s shoes? supposedly, they thought he’d lose all his power when his beard fell out…… obviously didn’t work….. this is an instance of bizarre and juvenile…..

Maybe Tom doesn’t care if people who don’t like him buy tickets to his movies, but you can bet your bottom dollar his investors do. Remember, this is much more than personal. He has a lot at stake in that studio, big bucks, and I bet he’d be more than eager to a ticket to any one of us on this site. If it was only personal, yesterday he would have come out as a proud friend of David Miscaviage since integrity means being true to yourself, but instead he brought out a picture of himself dressed as Santa and spoke of Christmas. Coincidence that the largest section of our population (at least in the Western world) is Christian? Just food for thought.

I’ll tell everyone here what I have said about Julie on the other site:
She may have come acrossed as strict in the beginning, but she has let up quite a bit. I also said she was more willing to tolerate different opinions and that is why I stayed. I told the others that things weren’t so bad here. Although they are still in moderation when they post here.

In regards to how she is handling you, I still see a double standard and can’t see why she closing items to post when YOU are the only issue. It is like punishing all of my kids because one of them is misbehaving.

Oh, I did make the comment that maybe you, Lauren, are really Julie and that is why YOU are not blocked from the site. I made that comment out of disgust for why you are still allowed here!! Clearly an error on my part.

I have been watching several sporting events on TV today.
As I watch, I see the different kinds of fans for each event.
Many of the fans of certain sports are not fooled by a band wagon celebrity.
Take NASCAR. Those fans can give a flying flip if some “has been/wanna be” comes down and throws a football to some pit crew. They only care for those that share their love.

Then there is HOCKEY! A REAL mans sport! You can’t fake it there, so a “has been/wanna be” won’t even try.

Soccer. The fans in SoCal are fans of the REAL game. They could care less if a “has been/wanna be” is in the rich mans box at the top of the field. If that “has been/wanna be” was a REAL fan of the sport, he’d be down with the REAL fans, jumping in unison!

Basketball. Short man syndrome. say no more.

Baseball. Takes a longer attention span.

    Just some thoughts!

No One Special: There are strong rumors that Castro is dead and the government is trying to keep that a secret. A few months ago, that blogger PerezHilton ran a article that Castro was dead and that caused a fire storm and Cuba tried to deny it. The reality is Fidel Castro has not been seen in public for a while now and they have run old clips of him so he might be dead. Governments and organizations have committed worse crimes in the history of mankind. But they can’t keep a lie forever. The truth eventually prevails even if its generations later. For example, there are certain FBI files or JFK files that can not be made public until (I think) its Caroline Kennedy’s grandchildren pass away or some X generation after her death. It probably has something to do with the government and the mafia.

Hana: It was nice interview, but it was still fluff!! Oprah backed off rather than pursue the questions when Cruise answered vaguely. It was a simple Hollywood show, that’s all.

The only issue I did have is that Cruise blamed Oprah and Matt Lauer for his behavior. He did say he was over the top, but he still turned it around and blamed the other two for his behavior (i.e. Oprah egging him on, etc.).

I did like the pic that happened to be lying around of Cruise holding Suri when she was a newborn. She reminded me of my own babes when they were that small.
I wish we could have seen more newborn shots of her than that one.

Tom did take responsibility for his actions and it is true that Oprah was egging him on and Matt Lauer was pressing him…………Matt did admit that he knew it would make for good television and he continued with it.

I don’t consider that interview a “fluff” interview at all. Oprah asked the questions many insisted that she should ask and Tom answered.
I guess may didn’t think he would do as great as he did. He was honest and sincere.

What business is it of ours? His religion, family, or his love life, if your related you never know all of someones personal life. And I’m so sick of people guessing his sexual orientation! Who cares! That’s his business! Unless we are related or have given birth to him, the only thing we should care about is his acting. Whether his movies entertain us, which by the way they do. If they don’t, stay home and don’t watch. This world is changing and not for the better. When are we going to try fixing our own homes first. How would we like it if we had to go on T.V. and apologize for every mis-spoken word we say? Actors are hounded everyday! Their children have things said about them that would make any mother react like a lioness. Let’s look at them as human and consider feelings. If there were more people who cared, maybe this world wouldn’t be so messed up. As for Oprah’s interview I must say Tom and Katie have a beautiful home and the view is breath- taking! I’ve been lucky enough in this life to have visited Colorado several times and if I had to pick a place to live that would be it . God is there, you can feel him. In closing I’d like to thank Tom for his great movies. May he have continued success and may God bless him and his family.

I believe Castro is alive, we have seen a couple of videos of him from time to time. I actively follow politics and the only time I will believe he is dead is when there is a marked change in the cuban politics beyond allowing mobile phones.

Castro obviously is a remarkable character (understatement, LOL). I just love him. I believe he has had the most attempts on his life. The US even hired his lover to kill him, he found out, gave her a gun and asked her to shoot him. She failed. They have tried everything!

Castro and Ernersto (Che) Guevara are some of my favourite icons. I have a huge potrait of Che on my wall.

oh, and yes, she has or had a house in telluride. it’s not hard to back up. so, her comments about never having seen anything like this and that weren’t credible. no one was right, it was fluff. even those that ate it up should be able to admit as much.

Tyler: Cubans are now getting computers, which they weren’t allowed to do under Castro. Whether they get the Internet is another thing. Any way, I think the real indicator of how any regime is going to do is the food shortages that are effecting the majority of the world. I think that will make or break any leader right now (i.e. food riots)!

Mary: Obviously with you, Cruise can do no wrong. As I said, to each his own opionion…no emotion or defensiveness attached to it.

He has a huge mansion in the CO Rockies, several stuffed full of toys for just Suri, expensive furniture, several snow mobiles, etc. Not mention the mansion in Beverley Hills with gold plated sinks. I am sure that one is stuffed full of toys for Suri as well. His wife is famous for her $100,000 shopping sprees.

I guess it all depends on your defintion of materialism, but Cruise has a lot of luxuries just in that CO home. The property values alone are also really high. Telluride is well known for its high property values. The average Joe is not living there nor is there ONLY home that huge with a guest house on the property too.

Sorry, but I am not buying the ‘Average Joe’ image that Cruise is selling right now!! You can say what you want, but he is materilistic. He has to be to maintain his image.

Battlemama, you don’t have to buy the average Joe image. Last I checked there were no guns forcing you to. I have said before, he makes the money, let him decide how to spend it. Just like you choose to spend time you could use for charity running around the internet attacking him. IT IS HIS MONEY. I can understand if a fan complains because they pay for his movies but a non fan campaigning for his down fall…….

And what happened to those who swore not to watch the show? I called it.

    Lauren,
It’s free will. We all have the same right to be here. Isn’t freedom of speech wonderful? No One, ignore the winter elements, and keep it up because you have as much right as the next person. If Lauren said some of the things she has posts here in countries of her idols, she’d be in jail. God bless this country.

This is good news for the fans. Tomcruise.com has opened (dance) I am very excited. You can see some movies. I am not sure whether they are full movies. I just came to share the good news. It is a FAN site.

Ok Lauren, it’s a “fan” site. Thanks for passing along the info. Anyway, what’s YOUR point?

  • Mary
    May 5, 2008 at 11:51 am

To each his/her opinion……….I have not in one single post devalued or criticized anyone’s opinion.
I have stated quite clearly that I am a fan, that does not mean that “obviously” Tom can do no wrong in my eyes. Please don’t assume that my views/opinions on Cruise are pre-determined because I am a fan.

I have read all of the posts and only ONE person said they would not watch the interview ON THE TELEVISION only because they did not own one, BUT NOT ONE SINGLE person said they would NOT watch the clips.
Just ONE person has said that ALL of the others have said something they never said.
And that ONE PERSON continues to bash others.

Mary, you’re pretty cool with me. You don’t go around yelling and fussing people out. You state your opinion, which is what we ALL should be able to do without feeling as though we created a mortal sin.

  • Lauren
    May 5, 2008 at 12:05 pm

I am hoping that this does not get juvenile but can I point out that on the poll on your right hand side, 273 people said they would not watch.

Carmen, my point, there is a new Tom Cruise fan site. FOR FANS. With the good, the better and the excellent of Tom Cruise over the years. negative opinions are not welcome, neither are snide remarks and innuendos.

Telling fans about the new site is not a mortal sin. Could you please practice what you preach? Please. I am trying to be nice. Work with me.

    I was addressing Mary.

And I don’t yell. When I write my posts, am coll calm and collected. Perhaps the assumption that am yelling make them seem harsher than they actually are.

Lauren, maybe 273 said they would not watch. But look at the facts, there are only a handful of people that actually post comments on this site. So more then most likely, all of us “nons” that post are NOT part of the 273.
Stop trying to make us bad people and join us in having fun!

Once again the purpose of this site says “Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes news pictures AND gossip.” Not that you can only post if you are a fan.

    May 5, 2008 at 12:25 pm

Thank you Carmen………..I appreciate what you said about my posting.
You know, if we can take out the snark, insults and inuendo, we could have very interesting discussions here.

    Lauren…………That was good……..A site that
celebrates the good, the better and the excellent
    that is Tom Cruise. :)

Mary, if someone posts “Suri was wearing a sun dress and her parents were in heavy coats”. It is automatically taken as the poster is a “non”, when it should be taken as the poster stated a fact.
No one needs to read hate into a post that is really a fact.

  • PuckHappy
    May 5, 2008 at 12:41 pm

OH and for the record, this sentence:
“No one needs to read hate into a post that is really a fact.”

    SHOULD READ:

NOT ONE PERSON needs to read hate into a post that is really a fact.

  • Mary
    May 5, 2008 at 12:53 pm

:) That’s true PuckHappy but if it were me replying to that comment I would note also that while Suri was indeed in a sun dress and her parents in coats, Suri was wrapped in a rather large blanket. :)

Thanks Mary. I guess every one is now realising that it is counter productive to entertain people whose reasons for turning up on Tomkat sites cannot be fathomed.

Most sites are now putting in place measures to prevent so called non fans. A move I welcome. For the life of me I will never understand their point. It is one thing to hate scientology, go post on xenunet or scientologyiscrap or some thing like that.

I have been checking out the site and I quite Love it.

  • Lauren
    May 5, 2008 at 1:03 pm

(Calm tone)It is a fact that Suri is underdressed, it is also a fact that she is asleep and in a large blanket. There is a video on the x17 site and they spent less than a minute in the cold before getting into the car. Not enough for Suri to catch a chill for those who are concerned and love her more than Tom and Katie do.

It is clear that when someone says Suri is not well dressed, the insinuation is that Tom and Katie are irresponsible parents which we all know they are not. I am sure non of us here love Suri more than Tom and Katie do.

I have this bad feeling that Tom Cruise is gonna die. It’s like when people, all of a sudden, start making things right and making peace, something happens and it’s their time. I hope he takes good care. And I checked out his new website, and its lovely, but the thought came over me, that he would be gone and this website would be the only thing we would have left of him.

  • Carmen
    May 5, 2008 at 1:13 pm

Um Tuna, from the moment we’re born, we are all just one breath away from death. That’s the reality of the situation. Now, me personally, I just believe in living one day at a time and enjoying the time that I do have here until it’s my time to “go.” Really, that’s all anyone, regardless of status or stature in this world can do.

  • concerned mom
    May 5, 2008 at 1:17 pm

ng didn’t see your question before. Yes Suri’s hair looks lighter, but I wonder if maybe she is outdoors more and that is why it is lighter?? I could not imagine anyone actually dying hair on a child that age, but the Hollywood people don’t seem to think like the rest of us on some things. LOL

  • concerned mom
    May 5, 2008 at 1:21 pm

My goodness Tuna. I can’t imagine that happening, and am in no way hoping or wishing for such a terrible thing. I think all is going to be ok. But you are right..Look at Princess Diana. Put all those dresses up for auction… That is way too morbid to think about tho. As for me I just want them out of Scien…not of the world

I agree Concerned Mom. I may not agree with everything about the man, but I don’t wish him dead or harmed. It’s one thing to disagree with some things, and another altogether to wish harm on a person. Personally, all any of us, including Tom Cruise, can do is live our lives and enjoy it to the fullest because we only get one shot.

Tuna that is weird. A while ago, at about the time Anna Nicole Smith died, before she died, I had that same strong feeling about Angelina Jolie. I was scared for her. I am not a huge fan of hers but I think she had done some good things. It was so strong and persistent. Luckily nothing happened. Take care and don’t worry about it.
