Tom Cruise Loved Filming ‘Valkyrie’ in Germany
Tom Cruise talked to Bild.com about his experience filming in Berlin, Germany. He loved filming in Germany and had good things to say about Berliners. When asked what his experience was like filming there, he said “Everyone was very friendly to us and we were very well looked after. The fact that the German government financially supported the film says everything. And Berliners are smashing.”
Tom didn’t know a whole lot about the character he would be playing, Claus von Stauffenberg. He said that he checked out every book he could and “quickly learned that Stauffenberg was an exceptional person whose story deserved to be portrayed in a film.”
When asked what he would do next, Tom said he didn’t know, but that he was looking at a lot of scripts. You can read the entire interview here.
