  Lauren, do you take this stuff to every thread? You are the FIRST poster in this thread and I am starting to think that you rehash the negative stuff more than some of us who are not TC lovers do. TC has always had a reputation for being very security heavy. I think it is a bit much to have your cars looking like a hearse-windows curtained up, bomb proofed, security everywhere. And although that story shows him in the driver’s seat-there aren’t many pictures of him driving around anymore and none of Katie driving anywhere. Then you see someone like Jen Garner and Violet out and about doing their thing, stopping at the atm machine, playing and laughing together, her driving them where they want to go… And most of the guests that came to the house-warming–hmm drove themselves! Even Kirstie Alley! It does make one wonder why Katie doesn’t just go out and about with Suri. Could TC be a BIT paranoid?? All that security seems like it would feel like prison in a way. Even AJ-and don’t jump on me cuz I am not a fan- is pictured out and about with the kids in tow. Even Victoria B, yep out and about with her boys. Julia Roberts, out of the Hollywood scene, but once in a while you see her out and about with the kids. I can not think of one other Hollywood personality that is so totally bizarre about security. I have seen pictures of BrittBritt with a security person, but then without as well. I am sure they all have a level of security around them because they are more vulnerable than us ‘regular’ folksm but specially built BOMB-proofed??? vehicles and specially trained drivers-like something out of a spy book-strange…

  I would call Jay Leno a ‘car nut’. He has a car collection that is just unreal!

  Maybe tc is more involved in his cos then anyone really knows. To have bomb proof cars is along the lines of the Pope-Mobile. Which I do NOT put tc in the same category as the Pope.

  con mom.. i don’t think you can compare the attention that violet and jen garner or julia and her kids receive from the paps to that of suri idon’t think aj takes her kids outin LA,different countries,yes. you seem to have very selective memory. there are hundreds of pictures of suri in germany, france,the italian alps. no one tells the other celeb mothers that they’re pimping their child. brangelina have double the security that tc has. if katie takes suri out, anywhere, the whole outing is disected to death. those oher children,you mention, except for shilo , never make the front cover of any magazine their clothes or hair are never discussed ,like suris’ are. ….i don’t know if the other kids have a fan site on the web dedicated to them,their life , outings ,clothes, toys…suri does. you also see nannies tagging along with violet and brangelina , only once ,i’ve seen ,someone other than tc and kh with suri. this little girl is obviously ,behaved well enough to go to dinner , concerts,plays,soccer matches, and playdates with other children that we don’t get to see , she probably has a whole toy store full of toys, swings and slides in her backyard ,she flies in planes and helicopters, and she lives with her mum ,dad ,sister ,brother ,grandmother ,aunty, 2 cousins……..that ’s alot of love and attention there. and what i love , about suri, when she’s tired, she just dozes off, no fuss……….maybe con mom,you don’t notice, but there is an underlying current that comes through in your posts,that starts me thinking sometimes.

  I remember a time when Katie and her handler came out of Kitsons. Katie got in the front passenger seat and her handler got in the drivers seat of the SUV. This was just after she had Suri. Ever since then, whether alone or with someone, she always gets in the back seat of the gas guzzling SUV.
  It would be SO much better for the environment if they would drop the 6 MPG black SUV and drive in a Prius when they are just driving around town.

  Yes TC is security tight and Branglina is too…the two celebrity family we can actually compare, when it comes to the paps and when you’ve a lot of people following you everywhere as well as stalkers to worry about you have to be more careful.

  Katie does go out and about with Suri (with the media going into frenzy all the time). C.mom most of the celebs you just mention have their bodyguards with them too when they go out…except maybe JR.

  Con mom, my point is relevant to this thread. You are always rehashing your comment about Suri’s behaviour on every thread whether relevant or not and am not complaining. Haven’t seen Angelina drive since she got with Brad Pitt, she was staying in a flat in London now she is leasing out castles on a salary of 14 million pounds a year, less than Reese Witherspoon or Britney and Radcliffe and a host of other stars who earn much much more than her and Brad Pitt combined. I guess Tom and Katie are so lucky to have so many people care about them.

Top psychologists would weigh in on the lasting effects on Suri and many posters here would watch out for any behavioural changes in Suri and coonect them to the incident. In the end they would say scientology has affected her mind. Gosh or gosh, we would never have the last of it.

  In reading all of the comments, the most negative ones about kh and tc are written by the same posters. Those same posters are posting the hate and then blaming the others.

  How does one know for that none other actors have h8 sites?
  Would one have to search the net daily to make sure?
  I think that only a negative person would want to know about h8 and actively search for it.

  TC has already shown his true colors, many times over. This latest outburst should not surprise anyone. The Matt Lauer wasn’t an isolated incident. Read the Rolling Stones interview of a few years ago, and of course that recent video, which was not supposed to be seen by SPs.

  Tyler, if I decided to hate or be bothered by every evangelical or jihadist who said their faith was the absolute truth and the rest of us will be wiped out, I will be blue in the face. LOL

  There are so many cults in this country that I find dangerous. Look at those mormons from Texas whose kids have babies from their fathers and uncles, you should be setting up sites to save those, not over indulged celebrities who lose their money. What has Jason Beghe lost since he joined that he would not have lost if her had resorted to drugs.

  To me this is an excuse to attack Tom Cruise, he is better than you, has fame and fortune, knock him down a peg or two. Most non fans visit TC sites on a daily basis but comment once in a while on these so called anti scientology sites. That gives. Did I mention that most also freely admit to taking anti depressants? Meaning their lives are not rosy. So what do they do? Try to force another member into the club by knocking him his high horse. It is simple logice. No one wants to see others happy when their lives are anything but. The rest, saving Katie and Suri, fighting scientology etc are veils for their conscience.

  Puckhappy - I was amused with your comment regarding the “gas guzzling SUV’s”, because this is the same thought I always have when ever I hear about them taking jets/planes everywhere! So many celebrities are “talking green” these days, and yet others (more that just TC/KH mind you) are traveling the world, a stop in Italy for dinner, coffee in Paris, a hotel stay in Rome, etc… LOL!

  I understand the fact of not being able to fly commercial (at least coach) because you’d never get a minute’s peace, but I always marvel at the planes and the cost that one must factor in. (I’ll be honest with ya, I’m quite the tight wad, LOL!!)

  I work for an airlines and about 7 years or so ago, Sarah Ferguson, Dutchess of York, was doing a tour and was on our airlines. She and her staff had bought the entire first class section so they could have the privacy needed.
  Both tc and the AJ-P clan can do the same thing and help with conservation.

  I come here to catch up on Tomkat news, I am a fan, it is my guilty pleasure, that is what fans do. If I did not find , snide remarks, innuendo and lies being told about Tom, I would not say anything, I would gush and move on. Try it sometime and you would see. Why are you so scared of someone telling the other side of the coin? Exposing those lies?

  Where is it written that a fan cannot know about hate sites? I have never come across so called non fans. Infact I think only Tom and Katie have them. The victims of the cyclone in Burma and earth quake in China and Japan today could use some of that time.

Joshua Jackson just turned 30 and like Katie was doing before TC, is developing a pretty nice steady career with some interesting parts. They were cute and FUN looking together.

  Actually, Lauren, you might not heard of them but there are so many celebrity hate sites, to name a few, Bill Gates, Oprah, Nicole Kidman…plus Brangelina, GC, many blogs that are dedicated on hating celebs in general.   Con Mom, using that comparison, I just wanted to highlight the fact that I do not believe for one moment that you care about Katie because if she was married to someone as bad as Charlie sheen, you would not be trying to actively ’save’ her. Marilyn Manson (am not comparing him to TC, just an example) is dating an 18 year old. He is 39 and a satanist. Why aren’t you trying to save her? If it is a cult, what about that Texas mormon cult? Haven’st seen you denouncing them on any site.

  TC lives a very ‘large’ life with all these houses, cars, planes, travel. Seems to be going constantly-I bet he can’t sit still a minute. Not sure if it is a happy life, however. Money can buy a whole lot of stuff and people around you, but real peace and happiness? Who knows?

  Lauren: They are not MORMONS, despite what they call themselves. In fact, they have probably been excommunicated for practicing beliefs that are NOT Church doctrine. Get your facts straight. As a lawyer (if YOU really are one, which I doubt), you should know how to do verify facts before posting lies and rumors.

  In Scientology, it is MAINSTREAM to ban those labeled SP from your life, non-believers and those who left the cult. (So yes, I am sure Nic is kept from her kids and her kids are taught to not talk to their mother.) In Scientology, the Fair Game doctrine is considered fine and mainstream. BAsically, you do what you have to protect the Church and its cash flows (i.e. Cruise and his wealth).

  What other religion gets in people’s faces calling them wife beaters and murderers because they will not go for an introductory course? Answer: Only Scientology does that. And Lauren, it is on video from news organizations who have tried to meet with Scientology reps. of Scientology ‘missionaries’ doing that exact thing outside the celeb center.

  Julie: I don’t think you are editing comments from the professed fans. They are the ones constantly breaking your site rules, calling everyone else ‘haters’, bringing up other topics, stirring the pot (as TIA calls it), and personally attacking people. I have found from talking with others that if the non-fans do complain here to your boss and B5, you put them in moderation and ban them all together.

  It is amazing that Lauren has not at least been put in moderation. I am sure I will soon be banned or put into moderation for this comment.

  Yes, the non-fans do attack back, but I notice it is mostly in response to the constant attacks from Lauren and others.

  I don’t care if you don’t believe that am a Lawyer, it doesn’t make me any less of one. I have not read anywhere about the mainstream Mormon church coming out strongly to distance themselves from the cult. All respectable media use that term. Maybe you are mormon and this insults you, I apologise, I don’t know how else to refer to them.   I suppose the main reason that posters here don’t “strongly attack other cults” is because this isn’t a site for people belonging to one of them. It is a site about Tom Cruise (in part) and HE is attached to Scientology which many believe to be a cult. It would be inappropriate and off topic to bring in any other religion to bash it….even if people felt strongly about it. I don’t want to get in the middle of this war of the words but I just don’t think it would make sense to start criticizing other religions or the nameless, faceless people belonging to them when this is site about TC and KH. I also don’t think anyone is “terrorizing” anyone here. My goodness, that is a very strong word and a serious accusation to make. People coming to this site and expressing their dislike of a person’s actions, their religion, or their words is a far cry from terrorizing someone.

  I thought this thread was about Tom being a car nut anyway? I read somewhere recently that Tom was either doing it or trying to make his cars bomb proof. It could just be a rumor but if it is true it is kind of weird. I think that celebs (since they have so much money) should set the good example for everyone and only use hybrids. That is just my opinion.

  Lilianne, I confess I do visit anti scientology sites and scientology sites. Mainly because I would rather know what I am arguing about. I have read a lot on the subject in order to argue from an informed point of view. Some of the posters here post on these sites. However what bothers me is that many say their problem is cults, I don’t see them having any quarrel with other cults, they don’t even mention them, which leads me to think their problem is not cults perse. Also I notice that they do not visit this scientology sites as much as they come here to attack Tom and Katie and terrorise (I am using this figuratively) their families. Also some arguments are so far removed from their fight against cults. My argument is that this is all about harrassing Tom Cruise. Yes, some have a genuine grievance against scientology (to those I say, get over it, move on) but most are just hiding behind that veil.

  I agree about celebs and their fake environmental concerns while doing the exact opposite of their campaigns. I do though doubt the rumour about the bomb cars is true.

  Hi all, I’m new to tomkat - big howdie!

  I think it’s cool he got his cars bullet & bomb proofed. So many people dislike him, I’d even go so far as to say some folks hate him, because of his success, his belief in Scientology, so many different things! If it makes him feel happier then I say go for it!

  One thing though, I’m a lover, I’ve loved TC since TopGun, I come and check out the gossip on this site as often as I have time to do which isn’t that often! I also go to other sites with contents that I’m interested in. I don’t really have time to post very often though. What I certainly don’t do is waste my time on football sites (not keen on the old football!) and I certainly wouldn’t bother wasting my time posting comments on them.

  Back to the actual topic, didn’t TC recently purchase a motorcycle that was around $100 grand?? BP got one too I think…He definitely is a collector of cars, bikes, planes. Does he have a yacht? I can’t remember. In the US stories spring up once in a while about a yacht named SU-RI but oddly enough there is one with that name but it doesn’t belong to Cruise. Just saw that story somewhere yesterday.

  I read that story about the yacht named SU-RI. At first people thought it was TC’s (for obvious reason :)), but later they found out the owner was a wealthy private American. I wonder how that person came about to naming their yacht SuRi…

  If you would like to argue Scientology, call it a cult, or speak harsh words about Tom Cruise and his family, please do so elsewhere. There are plenty of sites for you to do that, but not here.

  I am going to start banning the ones who continue to be rude, discuss off topic stuff, or question me over and over again. Whether you are a fan or not.
