Tom Cruise Does His Own Stunts
You know, you can say whatever you want about Tom Cruise’s weird public persona, but when it comes to acting, he’s really one of the best. He reportedly even does his own stunts!
Tom Cruise, being the manly muscleman he is, is particularly fond of doing his own fights. "For The Last Samurai, he did all the fight scenes, all the sword work," Chartrand says. "There was only one stunt he wasn’t allowed to do. There was a gatlin gun going off, and Tom’s horse was supposed to go down. No way you could have Tom Cruise in the middle of 15 running, falling horses without the possibility of him getting hurt."
By the way, The Last Samurai is actually a good movie and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like martial arts films.
