tropic-thunder-premiere-01-small_nc.jpg Here’s the latest movie news for all of you Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes fans who are dying for another movie from one or both of them. I know I am!! I watched Mission Impossible 2 the other day and now I can’t wait for another Tom Cruise movie!!

  • ‘Tropic Thunder‘ opens in theaters today!! If any of you head to the theater to see it, let me know because I want to hear all about Tom’s part.
  • Tom Cruise will no longer be starring in ‘Edwin A. Salt‘. The role has been passed on to someone else. Someone I am VERY excited about….Angelina Jolie!! Variety says that, “the rare female who is viable in an action genre that has been almost the exclusive domain of men.” I love Angelina in action roles and even though I would have like to see Tom Cruise take the part, I am just as happy with Angelina. The movie is being re-written for Angelina and will also undergo a title change. That should give her time to recover from having twins!
  • Tom Cruise is rumored to be joining the comedy ‘Food Fight‘. He would play the role of a snooty New York chef who is forced to cook meals at an inner-city school cafeteria! Oh no! I wonder if he will have to wear one of those caps? LOL. That would be a funny sight. Since Tom was so amazing in Tropic Thunder, I guess he is going to try his hand again at a comedy. He was fantastic in Jerry McGuire, which is one of my all time favorite movies. I won’t even begin to tell you how many times I have seen it. :D
  • The latest Katie Holmes movie rumor, is that she and Tom are considering co-starring in the comedy ‘Food Fight’. The rumor is that Katie may play a teacher or a cafeteria staffer. I personally would really like to see them in a movie together and a comedy at that! I’m crossing my fingers for this rumor to be true.

So, there’s your TomKat movie news for the day! I will keep you posted as I find out more about these projects.

    I am not sure about Katie and Tom in a movie. Food fight does seem interesting though. What happened to hardy men? 28th amendment too, I was looking forward to it. Edwin A salt, not so much but that is because the story line is lame. Of course I would have watched it if Tom had been in it.

    It doesn’t seem like an action movie though, more spy thriller. I have not seen Angelina Jolie in one, then again, I have never watched an Angelina Jolie movie in my life. She just rubs me the wrong way. Has always and will always. I don’t like to dwell on it so I just let be. No use visiting her sites to attack her. LOL.

    Sorry , I love Tom and I know how he would love to work with Katie but I hope this isn’t true .
    First, “Food Fight” sounds imo like a typical formula plot, B level comedy and not worthy of Tom.
    Second, even celeb couples who are accepted by the public have a hard time getting hits when they star together and Tom and Katie haven’t exactly been totally embraced by the public.
    It would be a bad idea for them to work together and it’s especially a bad idea to do it now when Tom’s career is on such shaky ground and every film he makes right now is so critical and probably will be for awhile.

    Tom reportedly dropped 28th Amendment and was focusing on Edwin A Salt, which he has now also dropped. The Hardy Men is still on and is listed as being in pre-production along with another film Men on IMDB. So Tom has 2 films in pre-production.

    I hope he makes The Hardy Men, i’m not crazy about B Stiller, but i think a movie with him and TC might work well maybe Katie can have a cameo in one of her husbands movies, ithink that would be great.
