The fact that TC’s official website is splashing on every gossip blogs about him and Katie points to his following these blogs closely. This makes every move he’s made a PR move. Can’t say I like a person whose every move is calculated to enhance his image so to enhance his career and the bottom line his bank account. I also find his celebrating his movie career arrogant. It’d be more respectable if he let the academy does it when they feel his time has come, as they have done with all actors/actresses they deemed great so far.

I hope in following these blogs closely he come to realize that his fan base has shrunk significantly as the number of comments shows.

wonder if katie ever suffers from jet lag……new york, then back to LA…….I would be EXHAUSTED!!!!

Me too Jenna. But I guess with a private Jet or travelling first class, it is less tiring. I must say I did know Bella and Connor were there too. Nice tosee the whole family enjoying a night out. I hope we get pictures to today’s party.

i don’t know ,is it just me ,or is there something very wrong with katie. those pictures from new york were not right . i know sometimes she does’nt wear make up ,but her hair is horrible, now, and she does’nt pay as much attention to what she wears either. i’ve had enough bad haircuts to know ,that a certain style of hair can alter someones appearance drastically. katie is also an actress who is blessed with natural good looks, so its not like she does’nt know the game to me, katie has been coming across as abit depressed lately, to be honest maybe as far back as germany….sometimes i think her life is quite awful, not her marriage ,really, but those external things that surround her. look at gwen paltrow, she had depression and said how sad she always felt after the birth of her son. surely her mum , her sisters, everybody can see that this isn’t katie, surely!

It was nice to see all the kids out with them and even Katie’s parents. I am sure they are just trying to keep things as smooth as possible for Katie. Was a bit surprised TC didn’t offer to help Mrs. Holmes back into the car tho.
I think that Katie is just naturally a beautiful young woman-so I don’t get the hair not being fixed for this outing either- she has a stylist right? Of course she has to travel a long way between NY and LA and back again. Must be exhausted!
That is such a cute dress on Suri-adorable! She must like it as she is wearing it again. I love it on her. Looking at the pictures, I just wanted to brush the hair back out of her face. Those bangs seem too long now, she just needs a nice little barrette or two if they are trying to grow it out. Of course having had daughters that age, if she doesn’t want to WEAR anything in her hair, I bet they aren’t going to push it too much. LOL My oldest daughter went thru a phase at about 4 or 5 of not wanting her hair brushed and insisted she had to ‘do it herself’ but it was too long for her to reach correctly and it got all tangled and messy and then painful to brush for her. Finally after a number of ‘hair battles’, lol, I took her to the hair salon and got her hair cut to an easy length for her to brush herself. Felt so bad then because she just absolutely hated it short-and I thought it was so cute!- but from then on she kept it nice and tidy.. and when it finally grew back, she never wanted it cut again. LOL Almost 30 now and still LONG hair. KIDS!!!

i’ve always thought they are a nice family, the cruises, suri is absolutely delicious, i think katies mum and dad are nice people. maybe tc gave a helping hand to katies mum when he got in ,you can’t see anything in that car .it looks a bit claustrophobic to me although i can understand why they needto have it.

I think Katie is just tired, maybe jet lagged, not depressed and why would her life be awful. Her life is blessed with wonderful things many never have. Suri is precious, how many Mom’s have such an adorable well-behaved daughter. I don’t see any problem with KH’s life or see any reason to feel sorry for her. It appears to be about as perfect as it gets, all her dreams have come true.

I agree with concerned mom. Suri’s bangs are too long. With bangs that long it makes her look a bit creepy. I prefer her bangs short. By the way where’s the bottle, she is not holding one!

SURI is Always looks good and adorable cute! TOMKAT is THE BEST! I LOVE THIS HAPPY FAMILY.

  • Lauren
    Jun 1, 2008 at 5:23 am

The bangs are too long I agree. I hope they are growing out her hair to change her hairstyle because they seem like they are hruting her eyes.

Annie, I do not believe Katie’s pictures in NY show her looking depressed, the first set she looks pensive but the last ones she looked positively radiant.

Con mom, according to proper decorum, Katie’s mum has her husbad behind her and it is not Tom’s place to assist her into the car, that is disrepectful to the husband.

I do understand though what you say about kids and hair. Suri to me seems like such a strong minded child who you can’t get to do what she does not want to do. There are kids like that. She probably refused to go to the saloon, wanted green shoes and wanted that particular dress. Any one who is a mother knows that there are times you just let kids have their own way because putting down your foot all the time can also be stressful. I hope the do lay down the law for her because her personality is too strong to go unchecked.

I also think they need to trim Suri’s bangs OR put a barrett on her hair to keep it from falling on her
eyes. If they don’t set up some rules, they are gonna ruin her. This is only the beginning of many things she will not want to do. What’s next? She’ll refuse to brush her teeth, take a bath, learn to use the potty, etc. She is just beginning her life and she has a lot to learn and refrain from doing.

  • LALA

It’s so normal that kids dont like to be hair cut etc….kids is kids….My daughter too! TOMKAT will find a way how to make SURI agree to cut her bangs a bit. Sound its so simple for some people has no kid yet (just cut it!) but its not that simple when you have one.

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 2, 2008 at 6:45 pm

NIce to see Katie and her parents enjoy time together. I am sure they are excited to her stage debut!

As for “proper decorum” or polite behavior, it is “women and children first”. So the proper way to load up the family van would be Bella, Suri, Katie’s lovely mother, Katie, Conner and then Mr. Holmes, since he is a guest, and finally tc. Katie can properly enter the family van with Suri before or after Mrs. Holmes.

  • Lilianne
    Jun 3, 2008 at 11:55 am

I think that people should remember that a young child’s hair grows FAST. That seems especially true when a little girl has bangs….it can seem like she needs them trimmed every 10-12 days or they start to hang in her eyes. I can remember how hard it was when my own youngest had bangs. It was not always easy to get her to the salon for a trim and I don’t imagine it is much different for Katie (even if she is a celebrity). Plus….really young children often don’t like to wear clips or hair bands or pony tails, etc. They pull them right out and while I agree that the parent should control the child and not the other way around some things just aren’t worth the battle. You have to learn to pick and choose what is important. And I am not sure that hair is.

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 3, 2008 at 12:22 pm

I think what makes many people question her too long bangs is that both tt and kh say that suri likes to have manicures and pedicures, ( which i think is too darling) so if she sits still for those why would she NOT sit still to get her hair cut?
And it is NOT like kh has to take her to a “salon” to get it done. They have a live it stylist.

  • LALA

May I ask, do you have any kid puckhappy?

  • Tia
    Jun 3, 2008 at 12:46 pm

Tom and Katie didn’t say Suri likes to have manicures and pedicures (Tom said “she likes to dance and sing, get her nails done with mom”). Just like my niece, she is too young to have manicures or pedicures …her nails don’t need it but when her mom gets her hair done, sometimes she paints her nails too.

I agree with Lilianne, the hair is not a big deal and for all we know maybe they’re growing out her bangs or they didn’t have a chance to trim it yet. :)

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 3, 2008 at 12:55 pm

If suri REALLY likes to get her nails done and dance and sing then you tell her she needs to get her hair done too. It really IS that simple, when you are the parent.

“The fact that TC’s official website is splashing on every gossip blogs about him and Katie points to his following these blogs closely. This makes every move he’s made a PR move.”
    ———————–

    Just read this comment now.
The reason TC’s official website comes up on some gossip blogs is to do with Google ads and nothing to do with how closely he follows gossip blogs. I don’t think he has a minute to spare for a place like this. :)
Once you pay google to advertise a website or business, they are the ones who are responsible where and when the ads come up, based on words or phrases related to the website/business. In this case TC is a celebrity and when people google his name and go to celebrity/blog site the advert is more likely to come up.

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 3, 2008 at 1:50 pm

You are right tia: “Once you pay google to advertise a website …..”
Tom Cruise DID pay google so his site will come up each time someone “googles” the likes of his contents. That is what people do when they need attention to their product.

  • Tia
    Jun 3, 2008 at 2:11 pm

Ah! That is what you do with a new website, advertise! How else are ppl going to know about it? unless of course you are stalking the guy like you do. :P

  • Lauren
    Jun 3, 2008 at 3:27 pm

Puckhappy, you seem to have a problem with Tom advertising his website. It is for his job, image and career, that what this business is about.

Liliane, you are right about choosing your battles. If you have a headstrong child, you do have to choose when you will battle and when you don’t other wise you damage the relationship.

Puck just because Suri paints her nails does not mean that she likes her hair done. The two take different time and one is more fun than the other.

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 3, 2008 at 4:14 pm

Lauren, I don’t have ANY problems. It does not even bother me that some posters here are so VERY mean to single me out and pick apart my opinions. It really just shows that what I say hits too close to home, striking that raw nerve. I do know more about that tommy then some would expect.
I have been told by those in “the biz” that A-listers do not run or even pay for their own websites. In fact, they don’t even have anything to do with their own sites.
REAL fans JUMP at the chance to start the site and keep it up and running.

And it is MUCH easier AND faster too, to slap a clippy in a toddlers hair then it is to paint ten little tiny finger nails and ten little tiny toe nails.

  • Lauren
    Jun 3, 2008 at 4:37 pm

    Pucky puck,
Sorry to disappoint you but if you haven’t noticed I do respond to any attack, innuendo or lie told by posters, it doesn’t matter from who. It is not about you really. If you did not comment again, I would forget you existed. No, I only responded because you were labouring under a misconception that Tom is now a blogger. LOL

Other stars have gone as far as create blog sites. I love Madonna’s because it is funny. It is the dotcom era and yes the internet is a good PR tool. Tom has many fansites but these in no way speak on his behalf. It is better that fans interested in his next movies find a nice environment to find information other than be met with angry, bitter bloggers running around the internet before getting to a decent fansite.

    Jun 3, 2008 at 4:50 pm

Well Lauren, that last post seems a bit mean-spirited to me. You’ve been pretty good lately about keeping it toned down a bit, but that one stings a bit.
Remember we all don’t have to love or even care for TC to share an opinion here or anywhere else for that matter. Just have to play nice.

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 3, 2008 at 5:09 pm

I am confused Lauren. You say that I posted a lie. I thought I was posting my opinion. How can my opinion be a lie? Why would I say this is my opinion when it really isn’t? How do YOU know my thoughts better then I do?
Now I don’t know what to know. So I post that I don’t care for a style of shoes, NOW i find out that maybe I really DO like the shoes.
I posted that I thought it was easier to put a clippy in a toddlers hair vs paint ten little tiny finger nails. NOW I find out that I LIED and I REALLY mean the opposite.

    WOW!

“I have been told by those in “the biz” that A-listers do not run or even pay for their own websites. In fact, they don’t even have anything to do with their own sites.”

The info you’ve been told is wrong. Official website is run by the celebs themselves!
There are many celebs, unlike what the media would like you to believe (brainwashes you) who run there own website, Adam Sandler, Will Smith, Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio, Britney Spears, Madonna, to name a few.

Being an actor, musician and celebrity in general is a business. That is why they all have agents, publicists and lawyers.

Sorry Con mom, must have been carried away. I am curious though as to why Puckhappy is rude to me in her earlier post. She also called Suri a Bastard a while ago but you Con mom has never said anything about non fans behaviour.

Puck, I did not say you lied, but that your opinion was based on a misconception. That misconception being that celebrities do not run their own sites. You also seemed to imply that that Tom start an offical site because he did not have fan sites. And that I have something against you in person.

maybe suri is autistic and that is why she doesn’t like her hair cut, OR to wear a clip. Could be why mom always looks depressed and/ or tired.

pucky, most toddlers HATE to wear anything in their hair.

Sunday, my 3 yr old autistic daughter sat and let me paint her toenails and fingernails pink.

Yet a haircut requires alot of candy, and 3 days time. And barrettes or clips? Not hardly!

  • PuckHappy
    Jun 4, 2008 at 9:50 pm

You sound like a very loving Mom, autism mom. You could be on to something about Suri. Too bad cos does not recognize autism and treat it accordingly.
I have 16 nieces ages 16 yrs down to 9 months and I am close to all of them. Many of them I was blessed to have in my care on a daily basis. We played dress up all the time and clippys and ponys were a MUST! But each little girl was different as to which barrette or scrunchie was the right one! LOL They all were born with the pink hair bands attached to their heads until their hair was long enough to put a barrette in.

I haven’t noticed any totally negative remarks like the b word for Suri in a long time. That has to be from the past. I do not think it is right to attack or say anything terrible about an innocent child. Suri alone is innocent in all the doings of her parents. There are varying opinions on why Suri seems to not walk around much or smile much–and I think folks are entitled to have opinions on these things. Celebs know what comes with the celeb game. Speculation and discussion on their lives are not unusual as most of the time they have put themselves out there. In the old days, when TC was very private, he probably traveled the world, lived as large as he is living these days but we didn’t see a lot of it. Nicole still holds that privacy dear. Did you see where George Clooney said that one thing his latest flame did was to talk to the media and that is one reason they split?? He keeps his life mostly private. It can be done. At the beginning of this ‘romance’ TC and KH basically WANTED to be noticed and they put themselves out there. Once the horse is out of the barn, so to speak, hard to then say-now I don’t want the publicity.

Concerned Mom: I think every celebrity knows that they will be tabloid fodder but what has been dealt to Tom and Katie has been unlike anything dealt out to any celebrity, it has extended to include totally innocent members of their families and anyone associated with them. It’s been vitriolic and inexcusable.
There have been comments from those long associated with following celeberities whom have been quoted as saying that they have never seen anything like it.
I have to say I think it’s unprecedented.

I agree with you when you say: I do not think it is right to attack or say anything terrible about an innocent child………………Suri has had such terrible/nasty things said about her in her two years than most adults have ever had said about them.

YOU, MARY, ARE CALLING SURI the B word. IF you did NOT like it YOU would of dropped it and NEVER made it known.

Con mom, may be you just missed that post but I am glad Mary traced it. It was said last week I think. Puck, this is the twenty first century and girls no longer get stoned when they have a child out of wedlock.

    Austism mom,

I sympathise with you and I am sure you are a great mother but makin gsuch wild speculation about someone else’s child based on the fact that she does not have a hair band is hardly fair. Suri for all intents and purposes looks like a well adjusted child. Infact she seems to be the celeb child who handles paps the best. Obviously she is older and Katie says she is very aware. That is why she frowns more when paps are calling out her name.

I think Tom genuinely believed that if he was more open about his private life people would make less speculation. On the other hand, any one married will tell you that men change, the person you married will be so different years later. He said the way he felt about Katie is what made him change. I guess George Clooney will change when he meets someone who sweeps him off his feet.

Last time I check the dictionary, b- did mean an illegetimite child, pure and simple. Not a nice word, but that’s what Webster’s says.

And are you guys for real? What is the point in dredging it up? You’re being childish!

AND yes, there are a lot of celebs who leave their websites in the hands of their fans to run. Uhh Tia, I know this because I work in PR and have dealt with bands whose websites are run by their fans. I was not ‘brainwashed’ by the media into thinking this.

And, for the record, the media may use propaganda-like communication, but it doesn’t brainwash. Cults brainwash when they make people disappear for 14 days straight.

  • Tia

“AND yes, there are a lot of celebs who leave their websites in the hands of their fans to run.”

Official site? Can you name one? I know A-list celebs with official sites don’t really run the site themselves they have people who do that for them…like their PR team but they do the blogs themselves and the site has nothing to do with fans!

There are fan sites and official site!

the hair thing is NOT the only reason I think Suri may be autistic.

Last week I saw pics of her on tv when they broke the story of her wardrobe cost. The first thing I though based on the blank stare she has, is autism.

She has that unearthly serene quality that my daughter did at her age.

I have scoured the internet for pictures of her. None of which she is as alert as most toddlers her age.

I mean, she looks in every picture as many girls with autism do at that age.

Even when she is with her daddy on the playground, she makes no attempt to play with the equipment, or other children for that matter.

She rarely smiles, and rarely makes eye contact.

She is a beautiful baby. But she seems VERY detached from all the goings on around her.

I do hope, if she IS autistic, Katie will have the sense to run as far away from the COS as possible, and get her some help. Otherwise, she may fall into the same dark lonely place as Jett Travolta, who’s family has denied his condition, and provided no treatment.

Autism mom, first of all I totally agree with Lauren when she said….
“I sympathise with you and I am sure you are a great mother but making such wild speculation about someone else’s child based on the fact that she does not have a hair band is hardly fair.”

I think, you’ve been lookin pics in the wrong place. Have you seen pics of her laughing, waving, blowing kisses? playing with animals? Making eye contacts with the camera when the paps shout for her? Paying attention when paps call her name and to things going on around her? Have you seen pics of her laughing with her mom at an LA Galaxy games? I can only post one pic so check it out.

Autism mom, Since you are working with autism every day I would imagine you are quite up on the subject. I have heard that children can appear and progress normally and then just one day it’s like they retreat mentally, so to speak, is this true?

If you call Suri Autistic I wonder what you call Brangelina’s kids (both girls).

Have you every been to a soccer game? If you have the noises from fans as well as the song is so loud you’ll probably cover your ears.

I think Autism Mom is not attacking or insulting Suri, she is just observing her behavior and hoping she gets help, if that is what is going on. Obviously Suri’s life is not normal, so maybe that expalins some of her behavior, but Autism Mom has spent a lot of time watching her own child and knows what she is talking about. I think parents of autistic kids sensed something was up with Jett Travolta before the word got out.

You think autism is an insult… until you realize you or your friends have family members on the autistic spectrum, and you realize it is just part of the range of human behavior and learn to recognize the good things that can go along with it- great ability to focus, sometimes areas of superior skill. She was not insulting Suri at all.

I didn’t read anybody saying Autism mom is attacking. People are having polite discussions.

“expalins some of her behavior” What behaviour? I’m confused. From what Autism Mom is saying she based her opinions form 1 or 2 photos. I’ve a family member who is autistic and I can tell you that he behaved nothing like Suri when he was the same age as her. But I wouldnt have him any other way, he is a sweetheart and love him to bits. But just because Autism mom or I know someone who is autistic doesn’t make us an expert and diagnose someone from few photos.

Suri is so alert and expressive and seems like a very normal happy, well adjusted baby. We know that she started saying her first word before she was one. She smiles, laughs, points and so on and this are things autistic kids find hard to do as a baby and take time.

I don’t think anyone here thought autism is an insult but Suri hasn’t shown any behaviour to make people think she might be autistic. But sounds like maybe the nonfans might be trying to use that to beat on this family coz they’re running out of things to pick on them.

Lauren, re your Jun 5 post, TC changed from what to what? You said he changed. Just how did he do that? I’m baffled because he’s much more self-absorbed today than he was 15 years ago.

Not sure at all about autism-that doesn’t seem to fit Suri, but she definitely doesn’t act like a normal 2-2 1/2 yr old. In looking at pictures of other celeb kids like Violet, Apple, Shiloh, Christina Aguilar’s little one, etc. They are often seen running around, laughing, swinging on swings at the park, etc. I think part of the issue with Suri is that she is totally isolated into a crazy celeb type world. Even in the pictures of TC and her at that park, not one picture of her playing, interacting with the other children, using the playground equipment, etc. In fact, the other children and their parents don’t even look at her or Tom which led me to believe that whole thing was a ’set up event’. If I was playing with my kid at the park and TC walked up with Suri, I would at least be watching or looking their way.. LOL Suri did wave to someone in the crowd one time and there are pictures of her and her mom at a game with VB where they are laughing and interacting together. My fave pictures of them but how long ago was that?? The last time I think I saw a picture of her down and walking on her own was in Germany last year as far as I can recall. Or the shopping in Paris with the cute polka-dot dress on. Don’t know the timeframe on those events.

    @Tyler

TC changed from a very private man to one who wants the world to know that he loves his baby momma and screams it every time he gets a change.

    @ Autism mom,
I have spoken to people about your post because it really disturbed me. I showed it to my colleague at work whose last child is autistic and is heavily involved with Autism and they said they doubt you have an autistic child. Any mother with an autistic child would never speculate it about someone’s child almost as if they wish the child had it.

I can’t help but notice that non fans are the ones jumping to agree with autism mom. Now I wonder why that is.

    @Con mom.

Show me a picture of Shiloh waving, animated or playing with children. I don’t think she is autistic, she is just different, every child is unique, but I have never seen her with a full expression, her smiles are few and far in between and they are only half smiles.

Christina Aguilera’s son Max is three months old, have you seen any pictures of him running? I agree Suri is not as animated as she was last year but that is because she is older and very aware. Paps irritate older stars, what about a toddler? Does Violet or Kingston have 40+ paps chasing him and calling his name?

I rarely see Matilda Ledger happy, but am not drawing any conclusions because I don’t have enough evidence to starting diagonising her with illnesses or wishing them on her while pretending to care.

Con mom, learn to think independently and not believe everything you are told. I am sure Suri in the park being a set up was not your idea. Any one thinking independently would ask: why set that up? Why not send her shopping with Katie for a Photo op? Why call only one pap? And nasty Bauer-Griffith?

The idea about Suri waving too, someone stuffed it down your throat, you have been a mother, how many times can you program a two year old to do such stuff? And how desperate can Tom and Katie be to resort to that? May be she was waving at someone she knew, my problem is the idea was brainwashed into you, much like most ideas you espouse. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean to be nasty because I do like you and I have already said I think you are nice but start questioning the acts of the people who tell you what to think.

Not wearing socks, shoes and a hair tie doesn’t make any child autistic! It’s called…………. terrible two’s. :)

Suri is a happy little girls and she is getting used to, surrounding by the paps and crowds. I think she love it.

1 feel so saddened by these comments about little suri, you can feel, that some of you wish she was. there are lovely photos and videos of suri in france, germany south of france, and last year at david beckams soccergame. those ones are incredible. 1 have never seen seen the brangelina girls smile, ever, because they too are focused on the photographers, like suri ,is.

Ummm…all I can say is wow. I haven’t been at my computer for a while and THIS is what I missed?! People speculating whether or not Suri has Autism and whether or not a poster here actually has a child with Autism (even though she said she did) and whether or not Shiloh JP has it as well?? Crazy stuff. I don’t think we can even speculate whether or not a celebrity child has ANY condition considering how little we see of their lives. But I think it should also be pointed out that just because celeb parents say their child is talking, or drawing or painting or whatever doesn’t necessarily mean they are. Also, did I miss something Lauren? I don’t mean to pick on you and please don’t think I am. I tend to skim some of these posts when they are SO long but you said something that caught my eye….that little Max (Christine Aguilara’s son) is 3 months old and not running….did you think he should be? That would be impossible considering at his age he is just starting to get good neck control and is unlikely to even be rolling over yet.

I don’t think it is exactly appropriate for someone to speculate about Suri Cruise’s development or what they perceive as her limitations when so little of her life is witnessed but I also don’t think it is ok to call someone here a liar.

Lilianne, I think Lauren was actually responding to Concerned mom’s comment where she said I quote….

“In looking at pictures of other celeb kids like Violet, Apple, Shiloh, Christina Aguilar’s little one, etc. They are often seen running around, laughing, swinging on swings at the park, etc.”

Lilliane, you made valid points. Thanks Tia for clearing that up for me.

I didn’t call autism mom a liar, I just said what my collegue thought. Just like we can’t believe 100% what celebrities say, the same goes for bloggers. A degree of scepticism is healthy.

I am really disturbed by the way autism mom wrote her posts and the way non fans responded as if they wish Suri was autistic. You may not like someone but that is taking it too far. I am not surprised though, because former scientologists are some of the nastiest people I have come across. That is actually my major problem with scientology. That it can create such vindictive by- products.

hmm must not remember who it was correctly then I thought Christina A was pregnant again and already has a bit older liittle one??? Now I just don’t know who that was I saw the pics of…And I would never say anything bad about any innocent child. I can think her parents are a bit around the bend and do think that, but she is an innocent little child.

Concerned Mom: Maybe you’re thinking of Gwen Stephanie or Tori Spelling and their sons……………both ladies are pregnant again.

Ah Mary…Exactly right. Gwen Stephanie was the one. Thanks. would have probably been thinking about that one all night. LOL
