Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes at the Laguna Seca Moto GP in Monterey, California
Hold on guys! I have a ton of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise pictures from the Laguna Seca Moto GP in Monterey, CA. They were photographed there yesterday, July 20th.
They walked around the pit lane, met some of the riders and watched the race from the best seats in the house - the pit lane wall!
Katie Holmes was looking very cute in her jeans, white t-shirt and brown leather jacket and of course, Tom always looks good in his black leather. :D
I’ll post the pictures in 2 separate posts because, like I said, there are quite a few!

I think the 2nd pic is distorted. I think the brown jacket that Katie is wearing is too small for her. I don’t think it is that flattering, but maybe they wanted to look edgy for a speed race. These aren’t the best pictures. I hope to seem some better ones!

My husband and I are fans of Rossi, the Italian racer shown in the pic with Cruise. Wonder if Katie told him the race was amazing.
You gotta love the jackets and sunglasses. That’s exactly how a celebrity couple should dress if they want to be inconspicuous. LOL.

What I find interesting is their relative heights. Katie typically looks taller than Tom, but in some of these photos, she looks shorter. How did they do that?

The 2nd pic looks a bit odd but I think Katie can wear a jacket anywhere. She looks cute and she seems to be one of those people that are cold everywhere they go.

Let me change the subject here since I’ve committed a faux pas.
I’m really, really genuinely curious about something and I hope the really hardcore fans won’t mind answering this for me. No judgement from me. I’m just really curious.
IF Katie and Tom were to divorce, would you remain a Tom fan or would your loyalty go with Katie?
I think the only thing Tom has going for him right now is Katie. I mean that. From everything I’ve heard, she’s a nice person who comes from a good family. I think he needs her desperately. I’ve noticed (maybe it’s just me) that alot of the gossip sites seem to post pictures of Tom when Katie is with him. When he’s alone, not so much. I think people are really interested in HER.
So, if you wouldn’t mind indulging me, as I said, I won’t pass judgement, I’m really curious about how everyone feels.
By the way, I would KILL for Katie’s jacket in these pics. I absolutely LOVE IT!!

Thanks for the reply tyler. I appreciate it. But, I kinda sorta think you misunderstood what I was asking. Or maybe I didn’t explain myself correctly. That’s probably it. LOL!!
What I was asking was for the fansm not how the general public perceives Katie. I think people are more aware of her because of Cruise, so in a sense, I agree with you.
What I was trying to get across was this:
I think many of the people here are Katie fans first and foremost. That’s just what I’ve seen from posting here, although I could certainly be wrong. I was wondering if they would remain Cruise defenders if Tomkat divorced. I think alot of the gang here supports Tom BECAUSE OF KATIE (and Suri too - after all, he’s her Dad). That’s just the gut feeling I get. I wanted to see if my feelings were correct. That’s really all. Of course I have to rely on people being honest. I hope they would be.
It’s just my own curiousity, that’s all.
IMHO, Katie is a likable, lovely girl with a good reputation. I’ve never heard anyone say a nasty thing about her until recently.
Again, I just wonder if the fans are Tom supporters because he’s with Katie.
As for me, I can’t support Tom. I just can’t. I was a hardcore fan for over 20 years, but he really lost my respect. Katie hasn’t.

I was a fan for a long time too of Tom’s but as he says about Scientology, “You are either in or you are out” and he means that sincerely and I am just as sincerely OUT thanks anyway.

CRose: I do n ot care for Tom. He has done some good, I am sure, somewhere, but I visit this site b/c I like Katie. I think she is very pretty, and MOST of the time has gteat style…though not always. Sometimes she makes choices that leave me wondering why she is considered a style icon. None the less….I come her to see her pics, and have no interest in seeing TC’s. I also am a fan of Suri….I love to see what she is up to!

you know that is an interesting question CR, i have always liked tc and his movies, but never interested in tc and nk together as a couple or tc and pen cruz as a couple, but their actual coupling together interests me a lot actually (tom and katie), i don’t know why, i have never been interested in any celeb baby like i am with suri, ever, if ever they’re not together , i’ll probably like them each seperately, but not really interested. i don’t know if coupling is an actual word, sorry.

I think alot of the fascination with them is whether or not they will remain together or
split, and what it will be like for them in either
case. People are interested in Suri and how she will mature. They hold people’s attention for this
limbo state. Other than that, there’s really
nothing of interest. They are not interesting

Mary and Tyler, maybe TCand KH are not interesting or inspiring,but you’re here, reading and writing about them, and i’m certainly not fascinated by the fact that they may split or remain together, my wish for them is they are together forever, at least they’re not hypocrites by bragging about everything they do or the money they donate.

When one inspires you, they motivate you to do something. What does Tom motivate you to do, exactly? Maybe he inspires you to have the kind of relationship he has? If so, that’s great for you. I don’t feel the need to badmouth you just because you feel differently than I do.
In rereading CR’s post, I wouldn’t use the worlds inspiring and interesting together. At the moment, this duo can be interesting.

What I have to say isn’t much, there is no need for it to be.
It’s the past three years I want to focus on. The way he and Katie have handled themselves throughout. The grace under fire, the integrity that they have both shown under scrutiny that many of us will never have to undergo or can even imagine.
They have both shown that you can survive the worse that can be said, implied and written about you and your family, including your children. It is still possible to walk with your head held high and still live life with a sense of purpose and be true to yourself.
Yes, people are interested in them no doubt. The interest was there with them as individuals and most definitely now with them as husband and wife and with Suri.
The inspiring part comes in how they’ve dealt with the criticism and how they’ve managed to live their lives in the face of the vitriolic immenseness of that criticism that has extended to more than just them.
As many times as they’ve been counted out, they’re still here.

I was interested in Tom before Katie. I always loved Tom. I liked Katie too. She is such a nice girl that I was so happy when she started going out with Tom. Tom must have done something right to get her, as David Letterman said. Like every one I was shocked. But pleasantly so!
The fascination is that, they are two unlikely people. They were the last people I thought would ever get together. He, a mega movie star, she a beautiful girl next door. You can say that either of them is too good for the other. That made people wonder if they will last. One writer called their relationship every PR’s wet dream.
Even though most people doubted them, there was something about their excitement that was very genuine and kept you captivated. Was it real or were they excited about the media hoopla? Like Annie said once, why did Tom have to gain from a sham relationship. That kind of happiness scares many people because most people are miserable or hollow in their own lives. Instictively, people would rather deny it exists than make them question their empty lives.
I read on one board a critic saying that that level of happiness does not exist in any relationship and she had been married for 34 years and she would know. To me that explained a lot.
If Katie married Miscavidge himself, no one would care. If Travolta told Matt Laeur that he was glib and attacked Brooke Shields, it would have been forgotten that week.
In a way, sustained attack on Tom and Katie is a way unhappy people get back at them. It is like ‘you may have it all, but you will have a public backlash and insults to taint your happiness’.
@Mary,
how can you spend a portion of your time on a daily basis on an uninteresting and unispiring people? Isn’t that a contradiction of sorts?
If they split, of course the interest would reduce. If Brangelina split, would the media be interested any more? If Angelina has a twins with her ex, or Brad with Jen, would they be million dollar babies? Maybe Brad with Jen, but I doubt Angelina’s kids with BBT would even fetch 1.5 million.

I do agree, I know someone whose interest in sceintology is because of the way Tom has handled the pressure against him. Any weaker person would have crumbled. But I don’t think it is his beliefs that have kept him strong, he is a very strong person. I have never seen him looking down or lost. His energy is unbelievable. Katie would have crumbled if she did not have Tom by her side. Later, people are going to give them credit for their diginity and poise in the face of what would have driven any lesser person to drugs or suicide.

I agree with your words, Mary. They are very true. It doesn’t matter what you personally feel about this couple or them individually. They are strong people and that cannot be taken away no matter what else is said. A lot of people going through what they have gone through would hide away from the world…but they don’t. They put themselves out there to take the bad along with the good. To me…that is amazing.

I agree with you guys about what Mary said. Look at these people, the things they have said about them have never been said about anyother human being. I see stars driven to suicide or drugs and they have not even had a fraction of this. Yet every day Katie graciously endures the papazzi. The speculation about her life, the name calling etc. Dianne Keaton said that she was shopping with her during MM and they went into a store which had tabloids saying he rmarriage was in trouble. Katie just looked at them and moved on. Her diginity is commendable. And Tom is always smiling at the Paps, he never treats them as enemies, yet he knows they are.

I really believe,you don’t have to like someone to be fair to them. every week, on the magazine covers, it goes like this poor suri..no christmas no santa no presents poor katie..trapped in scientology
this scientology thing is every week for months and months, for every other movie star they write different gossipy things whether they’re true or not, but at least its different not with tom and katie, its the same topic all the time, its just a new story line within that topic, and a lot of people believe it, so in a way , he’s trapped, how many times can you write about going into rehab, but you can write about scientology and tom forever, he made a few mistakes, they wer’nt earth shattering mistakes, but the press won’t let anyone forget them. to me, that Russel Crowe threw a telephone at someones head, and its pretty forgotten, is much worse than anything TC could ever have said.

Yes, Tom and Katie have been married barely two years but from my recollection we were told in no uncertain terms that it would never happen. Their second anniversary by the way is about four months away.
In my earlier response I did not accuse anyone of being miserable neither does that thought sustain me…………No need to dream on here.
