Tom and Katie “Valkyrie” Premiere in Brazil

Last night, February 3rd, was the Rio de Janiero, Brazil premiere of Tom Cruise’s movie “Valkyrie”. My jaw dropped when I saw this picture! Katie Holmes looks so stunning and gorgeous, I just love it.
Katie Holmes is wearing a vintage Christian Lacroix dress and Rene Caovilla shoes. I really like her hair like that and those bright red lips of hers are just beautiful. This red carpet look was totally different than what I expected.
Tom looks totally handsome too, but I imagine all eyes were on Katie that night.
“Valkyrie” opened in Brazil theaters yesterday. More pictures below.

Oh My Gosh! That dress is amazing! Katie looks absolutely gorgeous. She looks so slender and just stunning in that dress! I LOVE her hair! Wow! Is that her own hair twisted in the back like that? Her hair is flawless! Anyone who would say anything negative about the way she looks has issues!

Stunning hair and makeup! I love the black twistie at the nape of her neck. It offers the illusion of a french chignon which makes it appear that Katie’s hair is longer and styled into a neat bun. That black twistie was an excellent accessory for her to wear. The makeup is at the the same time both exotic and yet romantic. Very appropriate choices for a premeire in Brazil, a destination that defines both mystery and love. The dress was a good choice as well, but I am not in love with it as I am her hair and makeup. Overall — A.
Overall: A. Not an A-, as my post may appear. Sorry! A A A !!!!!
One more thing – these pictures are supposed to be bigger, but I am having problems with them. I am trying to make them bigger!!
Katie is stunning here. Gorgeous dress, perfect makeup, lovely sleek hair. Everything about this look is right.
I agree. She carried off the Carnival look really well. The heavy makeup is perfect for the colorful dress and, while I don’t care for her hair tucked behind her ears, it completes the look. And for the first time in a while, she did what she was supposed to do at these premieres – she made Tom shine.
The only odd thing, is the way she’s standing far from Tom. Looks like he’s pulling her in. Could be coincidental…I’ll leave it at that
Julie, just noticed a thread over at Jared that will excite avid Tom Cruise fans, showing Tom at the pool bare-breasted – although he looks upset, he’s definitely toned. Katie is wearing a one-piece suit just like one my mother-in-law owns.
What Valeria said was “Amazing, very cahrming, nice and beautiful. We are thankful for their visit to Brazil. Their Brazilian fans are thankful too. ——(I don’t know this word) Cruise family!!!. And I agree Katie looks great, I like her style.
Hmmmm. I like her hair and makeup, but don’t care for the dress at all. Sorry. Just don’t care for the combination of colors. Also, she needed more supportive undergarments. I think that would have been a good choice. She’s sagging a bit. Her face looks awesome though! Tom looks good too.
CR: Investing in some tape to hold them up would be helpful, but I honestly don’t think she cares that much anymore – going thru the motions, just IMO of course.
Response to Tyler: In the photos that I saw of Katie’s one piece – it certainly was not what my grandmother would have dared to wear. There is nothing wrong with an one piece swim suit. Especially when you know your photo will be splashed all over the internet and people like us making comments.

tyler: I just visited JJ and saw TC’s sun bathing pics…he looks amazing. His body is RIPPED! I give him kudos for looking so dang built considering he is in his mid forties. He is in tremendous shape. Katie, on the other hand, should follow her husband’s lead and begin a work out regime asap to build some MUCH needed muscle, tone her too thin arms and build up her chest wall, which appears concave and bony. JJ sends us to a link where the web host alludes to the fact that Katie’s chest is too concave (his exact words, not mine). He further says some pretty negative things about her in her bathing suit which I will not repeat at this site b/c of our comment policy. In any event, if I were challenged with her A cup chest I would wear a push up bathing suit to appear fuller, thereby, looking more toned and healthier. I agree Tyler that her bathing suit is something that my mom would wear. Its matronly. She is 30 not 60. She could have continued her stunning look from the premeire by buying a really cute Mardi Gras/Carnival style bathing suit suitable for a young woman, wear it with a sexy sarong, if she felt the need to “cover up” more, and some sexy sandals. This pool outing had the potential for her to look SUPER hot as she frolics alongside her well built husband. Why she chose a navy blue one piece with birds and sailboats on it I will NEVER know. She looks so “mom- ish” and as if she is spending the day at the local pool in small town USA. Look sultry Katie, your in Brazil, married to a megastar, and have the potential….pls do not play down your hotness, you are TOO young!
kd: Maybe not your grandma, but most grandmas in Europe and S. America wear exactly that type of bathing suit. A young woman would not be seen in anything like that.
Having said that, Katie is just visiting Brazil and should feel free to wear what makes her most comfortable

Previously Katie wore a one shoulder swimsuit with cutouts on the sides.

If that’s the case, it makes me sad.
Katie is a young, beautiful, talented woman and I wouldn’t want that for anyone, let alone Katie.
If anyone is interested, the big Tom fansite, TomCruiseForever has those shirtless pictures. They usually have things like that really quickly. I pop in occasionally cause they have so many pics with Katie and the baby! They must have a link to TC’s PR people. Maybe you could work something out with them, Julie.

I would choose comfort over fashion if I were in my own backyard in my private pool but I would always choose fashion over comfort if I were married to an A lister, and knew that thousands would be critiquing my bathing suit and my very public appearance at a swimming club. Katie has a very flat stomach and is thin she would look great in a bikini or if she is that modest then she could have chosen a sexy cut out one piece with some hardware attached or some deorative beading. There are so many sexy, hot, and youthful on piece suits in this seasons Victoria’s Secret catalogue. One pieces can be quite alluring but a one piece with birds and boats on it?
Ok Being a man I really have to say the dress does not do a thing for me.
Sorry but I am NOT a fan of the dress. When I saw the dress on her my first reaction was “Wow that has to be the ugliest dress I have ever seen her wear”. I do the make and her hair. Very sophisticated. She could have gone with a different more summery type dress. This dress looks like she quickly sewed material over the green dress.
Love Katies look, her hair and makeup is beautiful, her face is beautiful, I know the dress is vintage but I’m not crazy about it , but when you combine the lot she looks gorgeous, I’ve always thought, that if Katie put her mind to it, she could out shine the so called best in Hollywood every time.
I don’t find anything wrong with her swimsuit its cute, I also think she has a few stretch marks, so I don’t think we’ll see her in a bikini in public seeing thats the first thing the media will go for anyway, what I wish is, that she would put back the weight that she has lost, because she has lost too much in certain places, and its not flattering on her now.

Yes Tom does look hot. In Katie’s defense she looks
“Momish” because she is a mom. She seems to always were one piece. Maybe she doens’t like how her stomach looks now after having Suri (plastic surgery could fix that), anyway, I don’t think Katie would wear a Victoria Secret bathing suit as you commented Jenna. Her bathing suits are very much designer and cost a lot of money. This was suppose to be a private place not a bikini photo shoot. Also, I think she is a C cup and not an A cup as was suggested. Just my opinion; she has boobs! She is just really thin right now and I happen to think she looks good.
There are a lot of pics that I like of Katie, and one of my favourites is the one from the BATMAN BEGINS premier, she is wearing a red stapless dress shorter in the front and longer in the back, dressy type sandly shoes, and her beautiful long curled hair, was just pinned back on each side her weight was perfect, basically what I’m trying to say is…….Tom went back to the way he used to look, the look that always worked for him, the slim muscley look and the hairstyle that suits him best, he looks younger now than he did years ago, I just wish Katie would realise that the Katie at the Batman premier was so gorgeous there was no need for her to change in such a radical way. As for the swimming costume , I bet if you saw the whole look it would have looked nice,the long legs,wet hair, slender body, maybe she could have chose something better, if she wanted to show off, but what is the big deal about a little swimming costume that anyone could hardly see anyway.
Tyler, there are people who like themselves, even love themselves, and given the industry that they are in, thats what you need, the bigger bigger the star, the bigger the ego and thats how they stay on top, in that respect I admire them, that self confidence, everyone should have a dose of it, Katie doesn’t have that , she has a burst of it here and there, but its not there all the time, unlike most of the ladies in Hollywood who think they’re great and go out of their way to show it.
Those pics of Tom without his shirt on are quite the talk.

leah: of course I am not suggesting that she purchase a VSecret suit, I know that they are not couture enough for her, but I am suggesting that she buy one “like that”, something that is not reminiscent of a grandma style or little girl style bathing suit. Suri would have looked cute in Katie’s suit. I will write in her defense that I now know she was at a private home/club so the intent, I assume, was to go unnoticed. In additon, I happened to be perusing some old tabloids of mine to recyle and came across a smashing hot pic of Matt McConaeghy’s Brazilian girlfriend from last month. Both she and Matt were on the same beach as Katie and TC and as well all know she just had a baby as well. She was wearing a black, low cut one piece that had a plunging neckline in fuschia. She wore a sheer black mini cover up with some really cool black chunky jewelry. She looked like a really hot mom, in style, and quite exotic. Now that suit is a great look for a mom. Katie could have chosen that look. As far as Katie having a C cup, there is no way. I would bet 1,000 on that. Playboy bunnies have a C cup Leah.
I don’t understand all the criticism of that one piece bathing suit from that pool excursion. She wasn’t dressing to seduce anyone or to catch their eye or to gain their admiration for her figure. She was dressing to play in the pool with her little girl. I don’t know any good mother who is going to pay more attention to what she looks like than to her child. It is my opinion that it would be impractical as well as sort of inappropriate to wear a skimpy bikini while in the pool with her child. Give her a break!!
Annie, she lives under Tom’s shadow so she may never achieve it. Remember, Nicole said she never felt she was a worthwhile actress while she lived with Tom either.

Whatever…By the way most Playboy Bunnies are a D cup not a C cup. I would rather be flat chested than have obnoxiously fake large breast like 99% of playboy bunnies! And 75% of the female population in Los Angeles. Regardless, I admire how Katie doesn’t have any tattoos, boob job or hair extensions like so many woman in Hollywood. I also totally disagree with the A cup theory; NOT!
I think she is a funny girl in that sometimes she seems to come across as having the bugger you all atitude, this is me, if you don’t like it…… but given the industry she is in maybe its not such a good way of looking at it.
