Original Original Tia are you kidding me?? Only babies who are part alien (not aliien) can walk at 7 months? You think so? I have 3 kids, a 7 year old, 6 year old and a newborn… my 7 year old started walking at 6 months and on his own at 7 months, my 6 year old started walking on her own at 8 months.

sounds like you got some FREAKISH alien babies, my advice contact Guiness Book of World records honey
mrsjones
May 22, 2007 at 2:31 pm
It all depends on how much you work with your children and how often you do leg exercises with them. Because they developed early does not make them freaks and I am sure that is not the youngest to walk so it doesn’t belong in Guinness Book of World Records. In fact, I just looked online to prove to you that MY kids aren’t aliens, 4 different sites said babies can walk ranging from as early as 6-8 months old.
Libraesque2007
May 22, 2007 at 3:44 pm
oh I get it….YOU’RE the freak.
leg exercises for a 6 month old???????
uuum sure
let me guess, you push your kids so hard to be over-achievers that they hate you and will probably become herion addicts
mrsjones
May 22, 2007 at 4:11 pm
So because I actually do things with my kids I am a freak? No, we actually have this place called a gym and this here place you exercise. They have programs for new mothers that you can take your babies and do a 45 minute bonding class with your kids. Helps you lose your weight and have fun with your babies. I don’t push my kids to do anything. The class is a 3 month class and my babies liked it because we spent time together and made a game of it. My kids love me and do what they want to do. My 7 year old plays baseball and the 6 year old does dance class because they want to not because I want them to.
Libraesque2007
May 22, 2007 at 4:25 pm
“this here place you exercise.”
huh
well you may want to get yourself to “this here place” called night school
so you had to be taught how to bond with your kid…..at a gym?
and….you lost your baby weight by excercising…………..with a baby
mrsjones
May 22, 2007 at 4:48 pm
I didn’t have to learn how to bond with my kid at the class you dumbass that was not what I said. You just seem like an underachieving idiot that doesn’t understand anything.
I worded that the way that I did for the simple mind that seems to be nesting in your head.
Maybe if you ever got out from underneath your rock you would know that they have things that you can do with your baby, activities that you can do and that does not mean thats teaching you how to bond with your child it means that there are other things you can do with your child besides feed and change them.
You go to the class where you and other moms take their kids and do fun things, get your kid out of the house to interact with other people too. Then when you are done with the games with the baby, you leave the babies there in the daycare at the gym and then you go exercise.

I googled that info too, and found nothing to support your claim. I did find this article, here’s the beginning
When Gary Slaughter turned 6 months old, his mother, Charlene, began waiting for him to crawl. After all, that is when the books said that babies can be expected to reach this developmental milestone. But nothing happened. He did not even roll over.

mrsjones
May 22, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Just because you read that typically babies start doing something at an early age does not mean they all wait that long.
In this family, their 3 kids started crawling at 4 months and walking at 6. I keep trying to send u the link but when I try it does not show up.
mrsjones
May 22, 2007 at 5:33 pm
Did you even read that whole article you sent me? It says on there basically what I said, about depending on how much time you spend doing things with your baby. If your babies do not spend as much time on their bellies than they don’t crawl as early as they could because they are not needing to.
“The British study tracked this change. In the early 1990’s, when most babies slept on their stomachs, they turned over and crawled when the books said they should. Within the last five years, as parents uniformly began putting babies on their backs, more and more babies did not roll over or crawl on schedule, and increasing numbers never crawled.”
If the babies are not given the time on their stomachs to strengthen their muscles, they can’t crawl.
This was in the article I was trying to send you
“How soon can a baby crawl? How early can they walk? The Cawleys, providing an answer to this question, each of their three children crawling as early as four months, walking at six months.
The eldest child, crawling at four months and walking at six and a half months old.
The second crawling at six months and walking at eight.
The third began to crawl at four months and one week, started standing, while holding onto household objects, within two weeks. He also began to crawl upstairs, unaided, at five months and two weeks a week later he was able to squat down, in a controlled fashion, from a standing position. He is now six months and three weeks old and both crawls and walks from place to place by supporting himself on objects.”

YAHOO QUESTIONS:
KATIE K
Can a baby really start to walk at 7 months?
My guy’s grandmother said that her daughter started to walk before seven months. I find it hard to believe bc my seven month old just started to “walk” using the furniture for balance. People said even that was some what early. Has anyone really seen a seven month old running around?
RESPONSES
jesuslover
My brother walked two days before he turned seven months! He didn’t really crawl, even. He used one knee and one foot, so I think he wanted to walk then!
mom_a_Joy
My boy took his first steps at seven months w/o holding on to anything and would walk around the apartment by 8. Hes 3 now and has done everything early except potty training.
luvinhp89
My parents told me that I started to walk unassisted when I was only eight months old. So I’m sure it’s possible (although unlikely) for a baby to begin walking at 7 months.
pumkin
yes, i think that it is possible because my friend has a baby that is seven months and she is starting to take her first steps. she was pulling up to stuff and walking around tables and other things at like five months. i don’t think that it is normal though.
neabean18
My daughter rolled over at 3 mths, crawled at 4, and took her first steps 3 days before she was 6 mths old. She is now 11 mths and is usually seen streaking down the hall running for all shes worth. Normally naked now that she learned how to remove her diaper. My son (now 3) took his first steps at 9 mths and was walking really well by 11 mths. Each baby is different, my girlfriends kids were almost 15 mths before they walked. She thinks they were born lazy, although they have an excellent vocabulary and pronunciation….mine arent quite as vocal.
chynna30_2000
It is definitely possible! My son walked later than that. I have heard from people that kids that are lighter or smaller seem to walk faster, perhaps it is because they can balance themselves easier since they weigh less?! Who knows! Every kid is different and they do things when they are ready!
His Lobster
Yep! I haven’t seen one “running”, but yes, some children become very mobile very young (scary though it may be). Also, just like a pre-term baby needing to take adjusted age in to account, a late baby is the same- for example my second was born 5 wks early so any milestone she acheived on average would have happened 5 wks after when she should have been doing it at her current age. Hope that makes sense and congratulations…start baby proofing your stuff if you haven’t already!
Heather
lol my daughter started when she was eight months so it wouldnt suprise me if a baby could do it at 7
amyboones
Yes. My son was walking and practically running by 9 months. I know that it wasn’t 7 months but all children do different things at different times. My son was a big baby and it seemed that he did everything early as though with his size not with his age. But he was holding his weight on his own ( with my support ) and holding his head up on his own when he was just two to three days old.
little_momma_05
It is possible ALL babies develop at different ages. My daughter was 8 months!
The bowlegged thing is a wives tale. NOT TRUE!
Also babies that seems to start walking earlier talk less (they are more physical) and babies that talk late seem to talk more. My daughter just went for her 18 month check up last month and I was worried because she isn’t talking much, but I have taught her some baby signs so there would be less fustration between us when she wants something.
Anyways my doctor said she is starting to lag behind on speech but it is NORMAL in infants that walk early. The first thing she asked when I said something about her verbal skills was “when did she start walking?” She told me to keep up with the baby signs to cause less fustration so she will be more conserned about talking then getting what she wants.
She has added another word to her vocabulary this month! “cool”, granted it is an “easy” word, but I still love it! The sooner she talks the BETTER!
Now we are working on potty training!
CCTCC
My friend’s son started walking at 7 months. It was quite funny to see a tiny little guy walking around. He has two older brothers to keep up with.
My own daughter’s started walking at 12 and 13 months.
Queen Queso
My 6 month old tries to stand up already (but he can’t do it yet), and he refuses to crawl properly. He wants to use his feet, not his knees. My mom says that I skipped crawling entirely and stood up at 8 months.
wvcountrygirl_93
My cousin started walking across the floor when he was only 6 and a half months, but that’s not very common.
makailaplay
yes my little girl will be 7 mo. in 4 days and she is starting to walk
WOW I GUESS THERE ARE A LOT OF ALIEN BABIES OUT THERE LIKE MINE HUH?!?!

http://www. babytrooper.com /FAQ.html
Infants start to learn walking from an age as young as 5-6 months old until 14-16 months old, the age
of infant is able to walk various from a baby to a baby. In general, the period from 7-8 month to 14-16
months old is the time to learn how to walk and the time for babies being able to stand and step on
their own. During this period of time, a caregiver needs to spend time as little as 30 min/day to 3-4
hour/day to assist and stimulate baby walking.
Theres another one that says babies can begin to walk as young as 5-6 months

It would be extremely unusual. Average age for taking a first step is 9-17 months. I’ve heard of babies starting at 8 to 8 1/2 months, but 7 seems unlikely…

My 3rd child started walking at 7 months..I know someone elses who’s baby started at 7 months as while..So I don’t think 7 months would be the world record.

my son just turned 7 months but he start taking steps around 6 months and 3 weeks… he has an older sister so he always tries 2 fallow her around.. and she always hold his hands and try 2 let him walk
supermom12042702
is this taking steps with the help of the coffee table or couch??? or is this totally by himself walking away from something towards something else. Because with both of my children the doctor told me that they would be walking by 10 months old and believe me they were, and it was all while holding on to the coffee table or my hands. My son was 14 months old before he officially took off by himself and ran around the house and my daughter was 18 months old. So after taking all of that into consideration, i have a nephew that took off running at around 10 months old.

another persons answer that she cut out (who was between Pumkin and neabean18 was this:
Most babies start after 12 months. My sister started at 9 months.
he didn’t crawl AT ALL! She just got up one day and started running.
I don’t believe anyone can do it at 7 months, though.
When my son was 7 months old, he was still SO tiny, and fragile. He would hop in my lap with my assistance, and wiggle, but not walk, or even crawl.
I think it is impossible. I mean look at a 7 month old baby. 7 month old babies are still so small, fragile, and under developed (under developed meaning not ready to walk!)

So, to be clear, I show you all of these ones that support that “averages” dont mean a damn thing, but you find ONE and that is supposed to cancel out everything? Doesn’t work that way. Do you even understand what you are fighting over? You are fighting to prove the average, while I am merely trying to get to to agree that some children develop early and others develop later, the average doesn’t mean anything. It’s like saying every child has to be born within the average weight and height. Every woman has to gain a certain amount in a pregnancy. Every guys penis has to be the same size. Some are bigger, some are smaller, some weigh more some are shorter. A few I did not add because it was hidden for low score and I wasn’t going to go in and click on that too.
Children develop at their own pace whether early or late. But I am sure that when you have children they will do everything the exact day they are supposed to. They will be by the book and they will weigh and grow as tall as the average tells them to when it tells them to.
I am a debater by nature and you are not going to win this. You are trying to say that every child develops when the books tell them to, no earlier no later.

Wow I am debating a subject trying to prove my point and because I didn’t support your side, I am a loser?
“A formal contest of argumentation in which two opposing teams defend and attack a given proposition.” “To engage in argument by discussing opposing points.”
My job isn’t to help you with your argument, which you are failing by the way. I have done a good job proving all the things supporting my side and all you can come up with is one rebuttal against 15?
You’re wrong, I am right. If you want to give me a D- on being right than you my dear are a shitty grader or just a poor loser. But truthfully I could care less. I may be a D- debater in your eyes but you are a D- loser and probably a D- parent. Probably aren’t even a parent.
You are the Queen of finding stuff out? You were probably just a spoiled little bitch growing up who threw temper tantrums when you didn’t get your way.
Like I have already said, I am not worried about getting “caught”. I am just successfully proving my point and you need help to prove yours.
I am still laughing at you, trying to figure out how you think you are going to win an argument like this one. You are sitting here trying to convince me that I am wrong about children walking earlier than the average statistics state that they will.
As far as I am concerned I have shown more than enough proof to support my side and you have failed. It’s okay. You may have “won” other arguments but you are not a success until you have accepted at least one defeat.
Back down, be a woman and admit that you are fighting a battle you cannot win. I am sure that you will find many other battles you can “win” but you won’t get this one.

mrsjones
May 24, 2007 at 6:20 am
You’re right, I was selectively sending you things, things that were proving my point that children could walk earlier. It is obvious there are many articles stating that children walk between 9-12 months but I was trying to show you that there are ones saying they walk earlier. That was my point.
You didn’t cut when you sent yours, you only sent a few sentences that really only led into what I was saying, that if your child spends more time on their tummies etc it helps them. Proving my points do not mean that I HAVE to also support your points.
But since you keep calling me a dumbass tomkat fan, let me just make it clear to you that I am not a tomkat fan. I think Tom Cruise is an old outdated guy that couldn’t keep his sexiness like George Clooney (not that Tom was really all that hot to begin with)… And Katie I think she’s wondering what in the hell she did and why didn’t she just leave her dreams a dream as not all dreams are meant to come true. So, you are probably asking then why I am here reading this article on them?…Because my mom is a big Tom fan and she was at this site the other day and I saw that message and it sparked me.
I could really care less if people looked into my “research”. I didn’t make up anything. I just didn’t add the parts that were saying what you were lol. The one or two saying kids don’t walk earlier than 9 months didn’t mean that much to me compared to the 15-20 ones that supported what my claim was.

anne,
yet AGAIN i am left sitting here after reading your comments hoping desperately that you are NOT a parent…
you previously BOASTED about being homophobic, and now it is apparent you are a racist also….
if you ARE a mother, what kind of children are your raising for the world of tomorrow??
very scary stuff…
Hana

Amy, what makes you say Anne is racist? As a Black woman I didn’t read any racial comment from Anne. If you mean her saying “African countries can be Bananas” then can I name one for you Zimbabwe, might not be the whole country but the people running it are BANANAS. And if Namibians decide to name a day after a celebrity then they’re indeed bananas!!!
About the homophobic comment, she is not the first parent to make that comment and won’t be the last but that doesn’t determine what kind of parent she is.
I’ve read your comments always judging Anne for things she says, as if you’re perfect the things you say about an innocent child is enough to say other wise.

Hana, what makes you think you are the spokes model for all black people?
a comment doesn’t have to offend a ‘black’ person for it to be racist or racially offensive…
don’t know about where you are but that is the LAW in the UK…I’m pleased that YOU weren’t offended by it, but I was…
and i wasn’t referring to the homophobic comment above (which is actually a light comment where anne is concerned regarding her opinions on this subject)
…i was referring to her previous posts where she BOASTS gleefully of being homophobic
and YES i for one feel that a person who boasts of the things she did in that particular thread, well, comments like that DEFINATELY determine the kind of parent AND person she is…

Hana, as a general rule, when you quote someone, even going so far as to use QUOTATION MARKS, you may want to get the quote right….because you DIDN”T
Anne said:
I know African countries are well known to be bananas
You said:
“African countries can be Bananas”
two VERY VERY different comments

I find nothing racist in the phrase African countries are well known to be Bananas because they are and most of their leaders should be out of power. I love strong black roots and no we all do not scream at every phrase. I find it even more insulting to suggest that a whole country can have a Shiloh holiday because it insinuates stupidity and shalowness of a whole nation. How would you feel if some one suggested that about the US?
That is just my opinion.

leah - lovely to know that you ‘love strong black roots’…although, i fail to see how is that relevent here?
by the way, you made some serious errors on another thread - can’t wait to see the apology for your error appear soon…

leah, don’t cry and get all verklempt, I was f^cking with anne about the shiloh thing……she’s so obsessed I wanted to give her yet another thing to pull her hair out about, losing sleep all week over the thought.
hahahahahahaha
I find it odd that you “love strong black roots” but yet you don’t know someones black when they’re black.
maybe you meant you love strong black roots……as in blondes like Paris Hiltons, or Jessica Simpsons?…….are you talking about hair…or????

Joking about Shiloh? Bah, you were caught pants down! I saw the same suggestion on Justjared and am still laughing. You silly jokers actually believed that the world would stand by for Shiloh’s birthday but my favourite messiah is a nobody. I repeat, NO BODY and the world could not give a hoot about whether or not she turned one. Now her knife cutting, brother kissing, homewrecking mother, she is a gem!

anne, I understand that I’ve humiliated you once again, your attempts at twisting it around are lame, everyone can see it in black and white, you got your t^ts in the ringer on this one.
and keep talking about AJ, it just reinforces that you’re COMPLETELY obsessed with her.
You hate that she’s capable of being open and honest about being depressed in her past, unlike some do^chebags, whose appearance on national television proclaiming that there’s no such thing as a chemical imbalance lost him his entire auduience, and all that’s left are pathetic people like you….all alone on a website, making up different identities, making up a fake “life” for yourself
it’s all so sad and pathetic
and last I checked, BP had filed for divorce before he got together with AJ….even JA said the marriage was over long before they split….so maybe it’s time for you to GET OVER IT
Anne
May 29, 2007 at 11:54 pm
Ha ha ha, you think I care for the Messiah’s cheating parents and how they got togather? Dream on, TC is the biggest star according to Forbes magazine and if you are lucky, your strange stars will have another baby next year, this time in Togo and hopefully, fingers crossed, Togo will declare a public holiday. Lets see, this one will be named Jehovah. He he!

hang on anne…
TOM CRUISE is the messiah…well according to HIS CULT he is anyway…
as for who is a ‘gem’, surely that has to go to the guy who got caught in bed with Rob Thomas…,
what is it about ‘messiah’s’ and cheating parents anne? tom (messiah) ALSO has cheating parents…
i mean, that hard faced s lut of a mother of his, wow, what she did to her last husband was just horrible..mmm…similar to what her wonky toothed, large snouted, vertically challenged, has been son did to HIS first two wives…
Anne

Tsk tsk tsk, what a foul mouth Amy! Surely a holy girl like you should not be typing such vile words. If Tom Cruise is your messiah, good for you, me he is my favourite star and Shiloh is my messiah. I even had a private public holiday and am suing the Namibian governement for not declaring her birthday a public holiday. Soon we will be having the Shilomass season and the christmas season, may for you, the cruisemass season. Ha haha.

GOD anne, still clinging desperately to that JOKE Forbes list???
you forget we went over that already
from forbes
To generate the list, we used a combination of factors including income, Web references as calculated by Google (nasdaq: GOOG - news - people ), press clips as compiled by Lexis/Nexis, TV/radio mentions from Factiva and the number of times a celebrity’s face has appeared on the cover of 26 major consumer magazines. Earnings estimates are for June 2005 to June 2006 and are dollars earned solely from entertainment income. Management, agent and attorney fees have not been deducted.
and lets not forget anne THAT THE CAST OF THE SOPRANOS MADE #9
this list is a JOKE

If it makes you happy, now you have reminded me of your lists of best actors of all time. Girl you are a true gem. Ever considered comedy, it would suit you! Where are your fellow ‘cyber Tomkat stalker’ society mates? Not sending them e-mails to join you today? What a shame! At least the funniest member is around.

Hah hahaha, please Lib, do not go away. You are so much fun with your delusions. If your fellow members of the association run away when the kitchen gets too hot, then they will not manage their job. He he.

I just realized why you’ve been foaming at the mouth, saying the foul things you have about AJ, you’re beside yourself that Shiloh got the cover of a magazine re: her birthday after you made SUCH a big deal about Suri’s b-day. Not only was there no coverage of Suris birthday, she had to go to Griers b-day
poor anne!!!
poor Suri!!!
next time you shouldn’t open your big trap and make everything a competition anne
amy

poor anne, ALL ALONE here for the third day running….
Anne
Jun 1, 2007 at 7:56 am
Ha! Such a juvenile thinking it is a positive thing a baby to be photoshopped on top of a magazine and they write stories of how her mum is ignoring her inside the magazine. Go buy a copy and come back and tell me how happy you are that they said her mother prefers the adopted kids to her and only her father cares about her. If they put Suri on the cover like that, Tom would have sued their butts off. Any way apart from that rag, do you know any other sensible media house like Yahoo or BBC that covered her, Lets not forget that public holiday that wasn’t!

anne, I knew when I posted that fake crap about the holiday it would get under your skin, but I never imagined you’d go on and on about it for over a week
mission accomplished
Maybe Kelliquest (aka YOU) should ask you WHY if you hate AJ so much, you’re not only camping out on threads about her but you’re also buying magazines with her kid on the cover……….
Anne
Jun 2, 2007 at 10:38 am
He he, you brought up the magazine, I went and checked it out, it is not rocket science. I was just puzzled that you would quote a magazine that wrote such vile things about our ‘messiah’ and the kindest humantarian ever! But I should have guessed that your brain is always on leave! LOL.

anne, I really think you should seek help for your compulsive lying problem
US not only wrote a GLOWING account of Shiloh, her parents and her siblings but it also featured all the other rags covers in a two page spread that have falsely claimed Brad and Jen were getting back together…..
I don’t know what magazine your babbling on about but it WASN’T the birthday COVER of Shiloh
what’s WRONG with you?????
