  hehehe. maybe she is timid, and her weird descriptions can be accounted to nerves. but you would think she’d have had lots of time to work on her timidity — she presents awards at events, is an ACTRESS supposedly for crying out loud! anyways, wasn’t suri supposedly ‘glorious’ too? and based on whwat she’s conveying about her acuity and ability to articulate, yeah i’m sure a 2 year ole would have a lot to teach her! of course, it could also all just be a lie, as we know that she doesn’t have a problem with that.

  I find the “she teaches me a lot” comment very sweet and normal. It is well known that the $cienos sort of have their own “language”
  Like when leah rimini said she “met” suri when she was a few months old…..(which was a TOTAL lie……she claimed she had a full head of curly hair)

  (I think JPS said “I HAVEN”T met her yet) and whoever said that they treat children, even toddlers, as “little adults” that is totally true, which is probably why they use this “speak” that is usually reserved for adults.

  Libraesque2007, I have to agree with you, for the first time EVER, I’m all TomKat’d out! But it certainly has been fun (as usual), but I just had a thought, a very good thought. I know, it’s unusal that I have a good thought, but here it goes. What Katie lacks is being REAL. I think it would be a total BREATH OF FRESH AIR if Katie were to acknowledge during an interview that the NEGATIVE PRESS is enough to DRIVE HER CRAZY, that she DOESN’T UNDERSTAND ALL THE NEGATIVE PRESS surround her family, that it’s hurtful and painful and she just DOESN’T UNDERSTAND IT. I think if Katie were to ACKNOWLEDGE the weirdness, it would definitely lend credibility to her proclaimed love for her “husband” and the life she’s living. But the two of them always “act” as though they are on the top of the world and are unaware of the CONSTANT scrutiny surrounding their “union.” Truly, if this situation was my life and I was truly in love with the man I was with, I would have the “girl balls” to scream at the world to KNOCK IT THE F—K OFF, LEAVE US ALONE! But no, they “act” as if nothing is wrong when the world is screaming in their faces CONSTANTLY that NOBODY BELIEVES THEM. I am very interested to hear everybody’s comment on what I just said. It’s just a thought.

  Libraesque2007: It makes sense because Tom Cruise appeared on Larry King live back in the day (when Princess Diana died) and he was ranting (he’s a whiner) about the papparazi as someone on this website has previously mentioned. That brought back the memory of when I was watching him complaining that he’s been through that tunnel in Paris and the press was after him. As sick as it sounds but there is probably an ego thing that goes with that pursuit. That was August 1997.

  Fastforward ten years to 2007. What a difference a decade makes and now he never complains about the press. Could it be that he has experienced what it feels like to NOT have the press after him? Maybe he thinks, “its better that they pursue you than not.”

  I mean look at Britney Spears. You cannot visit any of the celebrity websites without looking a a picture and article of her: X17Online, SplashOnline, TMZ, Wenn, People, etc. I am sick of hearing about her. She is a mother with two small children and she is acting like an out of control person. And the sad thing is that it doesn’t appear like ANYONE can control her because they all get money from her. But the sadder thing is that Britney is ADDICTED to attention. I think her ego was hurt when for a second her sister became the news of the day. I think that made her run a muck. But I believe
  the day is coming when no one will pursue her and her picture will be found under a caption
  “Remember Her.”

  I think Tom Cruise has projects lined up and he wants to make sure he is still interesting to the press so that he can promote his and his wife’s projects.

  I think he was really hoping to be able to trust a woman. I mean, he’s only 45 or 46 and he’s already been married 3 times. I once read an article with Sylvester Stallone and he said when he met his second wife Bridget Nielson he thought to himself “she has such beautiful eyes I hope there isn’t a barracuda behind them.”

  I think what is going on in the mind of this little girl. Will she love the attention? Will she hate the press? I think the finger in the mouth is that she is teething and they don’t give her any medication to numb her growing teeth?

  Although Tom’s mom is more of a reporter to Tom when she’s around Katie, I have never since her physically holding Suri. Katie’s parents have carried Suri and taken her to a German park (with a Scientologist driver and bodyguard) but I have yet to see a picture of Tom’s mother caressing Suri. She’s walked along side her in a park, sat next to her at the Galaxy game last June but I don’t think has ever held her publicy. Tom Cruise has said on many occasions that she is his bestfriend but I don’t think she is a very affectionate woman. This is nothing against her but even Katie’s parents have each held Suri. Maybe Mary Cruise is tired of watching her back at the mansion. Like Katie once said, SEVERAL kids live with them, Isabella, Connor, and his sister’s kids and Suri. A real day care center if you ask me.

  Very casual dresser, no expensive clothes,
  shoes, handbags, very ordinary. I think this is why is go hogwild in her shopping trips. Her quality of clothes, makeup, stylist, handbags, have drastically changed. I don’t think she has ever experienced this lifestyle before. And she is so obvious about it.

  his mother is an odd duck- money is her first priority- she has been discussed on this site in the past, apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
  the last link- oct ‘05- when she was supposedly only 3 months preg, right! yep- she did look more down to earth but remember she had been “under his influence” for only 6 months- her transformation was still in his planning stage at that time- first the get bio-heir then the stepford wife.

  Hollywood is a small world. People have worked with each other, slept with each other, married each other, and competed with each other, etc.

  If the rumours are true, Scarlett Johannson, Jessica Alba, Lindsey Lohan (considered too wild), and Katie Holmes were on a short list as possible future wives for Tom Cruise.

  Fastword almost 3 years and here’s Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba at the same recent luncheon
  posing for the photographers. Jessica Alba has two movies coming up, is a few months pregnant, engaged to someone she’s dated off and on since 2004 (so she knows him fairly well), and she genuienly looks happy. Jessica is probably thinking “Thank God I passed on Tom Cruise and stayed true to my self.”

  What goes through this little girl’s mind when she finds herself in these kinds of situations, photographers clicking away, strangers calling out her name (for doing nothing but being born). How do they explain to her what a camera, photographers, the frenzy of the moment mean, or why papparazzo suddenly appear out of no where and assault you with a camera??? I would hate to put a child in this situation.

  Sorry to backtrack to an old topic, but looking at nguzman’s links reminded me of the marathon issue. Did we ever figure out if KH really ran that? With a time of 5+ hours she would’ve had to have walked a lot of it, regardless. And I still can’t get over her not wearing a bra! I don’t care how flat you are, that has got to hurt! That’s a sure fire way to speed up the inevitable sagging process, Katie.

  What is sad about those photos of Suri clinging to her mother with all the cameras nearby is how KH is smiling in delite from the cameras, oblivious to fear in her child is experiencing.

  She has aged since being with Cruise. There is none of the carefree smiling as it was the pics from early in her relationship with Cruise. Even with Suri, she seems to be forcing smiles and is not carefree any more.

  Gapeach: Libra found some info and said that there were descipancies (Sp.) in the number and in KH’s residency. So, who knows?
  Agree about the bra thing–even if she did walk or run. After nursing, her bumps need all the support they can get. I have seen the so-called bras in those shirts. I think they were designed to give a developing ten year old support, not a woman running a race.

  And someone mentioned during that time that she did not appear to be winded, flushed in the cheeks, sweaty, etc. as one would expect a person to appear who had just run 26 miles. And then she showed up at the LFL premiere just hours later in heels…I don’t buy it.

  LoneStar: Whether she ran or not, it was a PR stunt. Cruise had to run and give her kiss towards the end with Suri in arms. He wanted the press to know she was there.

  She may have walked most of it.

  I read in an article where they are printing sections from the Morton book about what formal girlfriends of TC said about him. They were saying that TC is quite cold and calculating in relationships. When he is through, he walks away and doesn’t look back. Sounds like what he did to his two previous wives. TC is certainly trying to eliminate Nicole from his kids’ lives. KH is certainly helping in that department. If KH doesn’t improve TC’s rep soon, she might get dumped. I doubt she will leave: $3 million a year if she stays plus all the shopping in the mean time. So, yes, she is staying for the money.

  Also, it says that Morton says nothing that has not already been said about Cruise.

  I noticed in the Emmy and Golden Globe nominations that TC’s movie is not even mentioned. I guess it was a bomb.

  Also, some early reviews of MAD MONEY are saying that if people have low expectations for January movies, MAD MONEY will not disappoint them. In other words, save the $7.

  The reviews also said that Keaton is the one carrying the movie and Latifah is solid, as always. KH does well type-casted as the bubblehead and she plays the role well. The article said the director casted Holmes well.

  Suri Cruise probably has her fingers in her mouth in some of these pictures (or even a lot of them) because most young children are very oral. They have a very strong urge to suck on something…a pacifier, fingers, a toy or just anything. I have been around a lot of young children having worked in a daycare for so long and then still doing it part time in my home. The children I care for will keep a binky in their mouths all the time unless you limit them. When they don’t have them then they resort to their fingers or toys. I have seen my charges just keep toys in their mouths for so long that the drool soaks their shirt and you have to pay attention and limit that too. Suri hasn’t yet gotten to the age where she can be expected to outgrow that.

  Also, KH has acknowledged the things said in the press about her and her family. In that Vanity Fair issue that published the first pictures of Suri she indicated that she was aware of the awful things said about her and her family. She said….”I do know what is being said in the press,” she says, explaining that she keeps up on the gossip because “this is my future. This is my family, and I care so much about them. The stories are not O.K. It eats away at me because it’s just not O.K. To see how someone as caring and good as Tom is—to see how things can just get so twisted and turned around. I mean, where does it come from? It’s been heartbreaking to see that.

  “I know he’s more used to it than I am. I was overjoyed in being pregnant and then had to withstand ridicule about my pregnancy when it was the most normal, non-controversial thing imaginable. All those things were invented,” she asserts. About the rumor that they had purchased ultrasound equipment to personally monitor the child from their own home, she says, “All that garbage about the sonogram [machine]—we were followed by paparazzi and so my doctor had to make house calls. The sonogram was for his use!

  “Some of the crap that’s out there—the stuff that’s said about my parents and my siblings(tabloid accounts implied that Katie’s family did not hit it off with Tom) it’s really frustrating the amount of s h i t that’s out there. And the stuff they said about Suri?! You shouldn’t say that about us, and you can’t say that about my child. As a mother, you hear it and it’s just NOT ok.”
