Summer Star Weddings
It looks like it’s going to be a huge wedding season for celebrities this summer. Not only are TomKat scheduled to tie the knot but Tom’s ex Nicole Kidman is also reportedly going to head to the alter with her Fiance Keith Urban. Then of course there’s Brangelina, the proud new parents of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and the Desperate Housewives gals too. I wonder which wedding will be the most secretive, which will be over the top and which will last more than a month! ;)
I’m most looking forward to seeing how Nicole Kidman and TomKat fight over publicity for their big days. If this article is correct and Nicole Kidman is planning on getting married just 5 days before her ex husband Tom Cruise marries Katie Holmes I can predict some tension. And their poor kids! It must be extremely stressful to have a parent getting married let alone two sets less than a week apart! They’ll most likely have to jet back and forth for fittings and rehearsals. I’m no Medium, but I see trouble up ahead if these are the true dates.
From new parents TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES to parents-to-be ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT — which star couple will be tying the knot this steamy season?
Us Weekly’s KATRINA SZISH says all signs point to a summer holiday blowout for TomKat. "Lately, anything that Tom Cruise does is big and over the top," she says. "And we’re hearing that he may wed fiancée Katie Holmes on July 4th, which would also mean big fireworks."
"[We have] big, big plans," Tom revealed to our JANN CARL about his wedding to Katie. "We talk about it. I really didn’t know that there were so many wedding magazines. I said, ‘Are you kidding me?’ There are things for the flowers, the cake, the dresses…"
Tom says that his bride-to-be has been very hands-on with the planning. "The thing that I love about Kate is that she’s an artist, so she actually loves ribbons and she makes cards and creates art," he says. "She loves flowers, and she’ll do her own floral arrangements. So it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s going to be a celebration."
The happy groom-to-be said the most important thing for their union is to be surrounded by family. "I just want it to be a celebration of love and our relationship."
And while Brad and Angelina have never announced an engagement or wedding plans, with the pair expecting their first child together and living the good life with her two young kids MADDOX and ZAHARA, many wonder if a walk down the aisle is in the future for the private couple. And it wouldn’t be a surprise to many if they said "I do" in a secluded location.
"Considering that Brad and Angelina rented out an entire resort in Namibia for the birth of their baby, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if they did the same thing for their wedding," Szish says.
Up until now, Oscar winner NICOLE KIDMAN has kept mum about her relationship with country crooner KEITH URBAN. But just this month she confirmed that she is in fact engaged to the singer. Many speculate that they will tie the knot this summer.
"Sources tell us that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban will wed June 25th in Australia," Szish tells ET. "We can expect Nicole and Keith to have a small, more casual wedding with lots of friends and family. It’s probably going to be just a great party."
Meanwhile, "Desperate Housewives" star MARCIA CROSS is gearing up for her summer nuptials to her fiancé TOM MAHONEY.
"It’s hard," she admitted recently to our KEVIN FRAZIER about the planning. "I am busy. I am disorganized. I am just trying to get it all done!"
She’s grateful for her groom-to-be and all of his decision-making skills. "Luckily he is fantastic at making decisions," she says. "I can just hand him this or this and he makes a decision. Otherwise I will be stressed forever — he is very strong."
And the Golden Globe-nominated actress kids that she would prefer to just know the time and place. "I just want my call time — that’s the big joke," she says. "Just tell me when to be there!"
Other stars possibly tying the knot this summer? Marcia’s co-stars NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN to singer MICHAEL BOLTON and EVA LONGORIA to her basketball beau TONY PARKER. Via Yahoo
