Pictures of Katie Holmes Arriving for Rehearsals in NYC- August 1st
Katie Holmes is working very very hard for her Broadway debut. Here are some more pictures from today of Katie arriving at rehearsals for “All My Sons” in New York City. I have been reading around here and there that Katie rehearsed for 8 hours the other day. Everyone says that Broadway is grueling and I definitely believe it.
She looks so young and cute in these pictures! I have to agree with some of you that her short is hair is growing on me. It’s definitely a wash and go look, which must be nice for a young busy mom like Katie. More pictures of Katie below.

Cute!! She looks really sweet in that top and I think her hair is looking great too. Don’t love the sunglasses though..too big for my taste.

She is so so cute. Such a sweet heart. She seems to love her time in New York. I am so happy for her. Such a lovely girl.

LOL Con mom, now that would be a sight. I like seeing them together. Katie feels freer without the paps. It must be a long time since she felt this free. Even in Europe- Paris and Germany she looked a bit tense, here she looks like she could do a skip. Clearly she loves her new role on broadway.

Tyler, i was thinking that too,Katie looks a bit fuller in the body as well i think, agree with Anne she looks relaxed, and i think she likes NY , i remember reading an interview she did for Batman once,Katie said that she found LA ,a bit of a spooky place, in terms of the gossip and the paps.

Im not into the stars but there’s something about Tom and Katie that i cant get enough of and its the same way about Suri. Holmes looks so lovely.

Well obviously, because we have these pictures the papps are there, but Tom doesn’t appear to be and she does look quite happy and more carefree. I hope she is able to enjoy her life the next few months in a city she once said she loved because of the energy there. Maybe she will be able to dine with friends, get close to the rest of the cast, just enjoy her life in the big apple which is actually the city she had just embraced when she sort of dropped off the planet for those yet to be explained 16 days back in April of 2005. Oh wait, I must be dreaming because soon she and Tom and the children or more than likely just Suri will be all set up in some luxe apt and she will once again be ‘loved and looked after’ continuously by Tom and his constant crew of security, drivers and minders.

Anne, one thing you do have right is that she likes NY far better than LA. It has a totally different energy and whole life to it than LA does. LA is full of vipers and seems oppressive to me. NY is a major city of the world and to me, far more exciting and interesting.

Sorry I was just looking at these pictures again, and it is amazing the difference here by herself. Her shoulders are straight and her strides are long. When she stands next to Tom, it is almost as if she crouches down a bit which one of my daughters also did when she dated a shorter guy once. Katie looks cute and saavy here. Wonder why the rest of the cast isn’t in any pictures..

I agree with all of you here!! She looks utterly fantastic. Her smile is genuine, her clothing is young and hip, her gait is powerful and long, she appears to have great energy and looks very healthy. She seems soooo relaxed, and happy. And….she is smiling broadly and frequently..this job and her new environment is doing her a world of good. I love to see her without TC clinging to her…….finally, she gets some “me” time!!!

She looks GREAT! She will do just fine on Broadway. This is her dream. I am SO excited for her.
I do hope that she will be able to live the NYC lifestyle that she has always dreamed of.

I hope this Broadway show works out for her
because if rumors are true, that means Cruise paid for her to get this part, and she has paid a huge price to be with Cruise.

My opinion of that rumor:
It’s WHO you know that gets you there.
It’s WHAT you can do that will keep you there!
Maybe tc DID pull some strings to get her the part. We will never know for sure.
But it will be ALL Katie that will be on that stage. I do think she has it in her to be successful on stage.
(IMOO, I also think that tc has it in him to bring her down, if HE thinks she needs it. That is the controlling man thing in him. I think he is the type that thinks you do that kind of stuff out of “love”.)

Yep. She looks good and healthier than she has in a while. She just looks relaxed in these pictures. Casual and hip is my personal favorite look for her. I think it is when she also is most comfortable.
None of us truly knows how she got this part, but it is the opportunity of her lifetime to grab it and make it work. The part she has is in almost every scene, right?? So she better have her stuff together…

Good luck to her. I doubt Tom actually got her the role. Though I believe that fact that she is married to Tom Cruise played a role. All the same her performace should keep her there. I am keeping my fingers crossed for her.
