Katie Holmes admits to Hello that she blushes when her husband Tom Cruise pays her a compliment. Not only does it make her blush, but it gives her confidence in herself.
“I love it when Tom tells me I look great. It gives me such confidence,” she tells Hello.
It might make her blush a little, but it also helps her have a little ‘tude.
“Sometimes it makes me blush but it also gives me attitude. Every woman likes to be told she looks beautiful,” says Katie.
Even though he gives her compliments and confidence, she still struggles with body image like most women do.
“I try to embrace my imperfections,” she says.“But I will forever wage the battle of the thighs! So I prefer not to show them off. I am pretty tall. Usually most actresses are tiny and I’m not – I’m a big one.”
I have seen tabloids that made fun of her thighs and her height and it just angers me. Of course, they don’t just do it to her. Every celebrity is at the mercy of the cameras. I have loved seeing Jennifer Lopez out lately in a bikini, showing of her post pregnancy body and not even worrying about it. I think she looks gorgeous and so does Katie.
It’s good to hear that Tom’s comments make her react that way. No matter what people may say about him, I believe he loves her whole-heartedly.

Hollyscoop is reporting that Tom Cruise sent Nicole Kidman flowers as a congratulations on the birth of her and Keith’s new baby, Sunday Rose. And it’s being said that he didn’t just send a couple dozen, but enough to fill her entire room.
The Daily Mirror says, “Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room.”
Nicole has received hundreds of bouquets from people congratulating her around the world. How sweet! Did any of you send flowers? :D

The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan has said that he was disappointed that Katie Holmes turned down the part for the sequel. Katie played Rachel Dawes in Batman Begins and decided not to continue with her role in The Dark Knight. She was replaced with Maggie Gyllenhaal, who I have heard did a terrific job.
Nolan said, “Katie wasn’t available for the role, which I wasn’t very happy about, but these things happen, and I was very, very fortunate that Maggie was able to take it over.”
The director had nothing but good things to say about Gyllenhaal and was quoted as saying that her energy helped generate chemistry between her and her co-stars.
Gyllenhaal actually sought out Katie’s approval before agreeing to replace her in the Batman sequel. She of course received Katie’s approval and decided that she would “offer a new interpretation of the character“.
“I wanted to be sure, first of all, that I had her blessing,” Gyllenhaal explained. “And I was assured that I did. I’m a big fan of hers, I think she was really great in the first movie.”
“And yet I felt like it wouldn’t have done anyone any good if I tried to imitate her. Really what I decided was that it had to be a whole new woman. If I’m going to do what I do well, I have to be free to do it.”

Here’s a picture of an apartment (the outside anyway…not too terribly exciting) that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes checked out when looking for New York rentals. Tom, Katie and Suri will all reside in NY while Katie is on Broadway for the play “All My Sons“.
Katie spent about half and hour looking over the luxury Trump apartment. The price tag? $200,000 a month!
Trump Executive Vice President Michael Cohen said that Katie loved the place and he also mentioned that the place is for sale if you have an extra $45 million laying around. Supposedly Tom and Katie are very interested and are trying to make their decision.
Here’s a description of the place:
“The unit at 502 Park Ave. has 5,000 square feet of interior space plus approximately 2,000 square feet of terraces. There are four bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms, a den, a library, a dining room and an eat-in kitchen with high-end appliances. Also featured in the unit are 20-foot ceilings, two staircases, 360-degree views through its 50 windows and three large chandeliers. And we have a security system that’s second to none, says Cohen.”
Guess who else is a resident there? Alex Rodriguez. Uh-oh. :D

There are some extremely differing opinions when it comes to the ticket sales for “All My Sons”. While the New York Post is stating that ticket sales are pathetic (albeit four days before tickets even went on sale), other places are indicating that sales for the Broadway production are indeed going just fine.
The tickets officially went on sale July 5th. According to TeleCharge.com, there is an overwhelming demand for the tickets. Now this I believe as opposed to what I posted earlier. Here’s what their site says:

Please Note: Due to overwhelming demand for tickets to All My Sons, there is a delay in processing all types of orders being mailed. There are stringent ticket limits which have added to the normal processing time. We expect tickets being sent by regular mail should be received 4 weeks after an order has been placed. Thank you for your understanding.
Speaking of that other post I wrote, here is an excerpt that I now know isn’t accurate (that’s my opinion anyway):
One article says that the play is already destined to be a flop because the advance bookings are so poor. They have failed to reach the $1 million dollar mark.
On Broadwayworld.com, they are reporting that the two-week pre-sale period was highly successful and it grossed more than $1 million.
As a friend of mine said, this is a superb play Katie or no Katie. I truly believe the seats for “All My Sons” will be filled and the reviews will be good. John Lithgow is in it for crying out loud! He has amazing talent when it comes to Broadway and I have always heard superb things about his performance.
Anyway, I thought I would just clear up some things and let you see both sides of the story. I personally can’t wait to hear great things about Katie Holmes Broadway debut. :D

Isabella and Connor Cruise have a new sister! Keith Urban’s rep has confirmed to UsMagazine.com that Nicole Kidman gave birth this morning to a baby girl. Her name is Sunday Rose Kidman Urban. She weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
“Husband Keith was by Nicole’s side and mother and baby are very well,” the rep said.
Congratulations to Nicole, Keith, Connor and Isabella!!

The Katie Holmes 4th of July pictures are sparking pregnancy rumors all over the internet today. In the picture above you can see something that could possibly be a baby bump. You can see a better picture over at Tom Cruise Watch. I am pretty much done speculating whether Katie is pregnant or not. When she’s pregnant and they are ready to let us know, they’ll make their announcement.
If she is pregnant, everyone is wondering how in the world she would be able to follow through with her six nights a week on Broadway, starring in “All My Sons“. That would be difficult given the timing of everything. If she is already showing now, then there would be no hiding that belly come September/October.
We all know that Katie hasn’t been looking herself lately. She seems to be trying to hard to smile and is thin, pale and just not looking good. If there is a reason for her changing look, I do hope it is pregnancy and nothing else more serious.
On another note…there is a not so nice article about Katie Holmes and the Blu-Ray release of “Batman Begins”. If you can get passed the rude comments about Katie, there are some gorgeous pictures of her from her early years below the article. They are amazing and I thought you would enjoy them.
So, who thinks Katie is expecting baby number 2? :D

I am shocked and surprised at the ticket sales news I am reading for “All My Sons” in which Katie Holmes will make her Broadway debut. Everything I have read says that the sales are disappointing and not going well at all.
One article says that the play is already destined to be a flop because the advance bookings are so poor. They have failed to reach the $1 million dollar mark.
Michael Ridel, one of NewYork’s most influential theatre critics is saying that this is roughly a third of the expected volume for a Hollywood Star’s Broadway run. He goes on to state (and yes, some of you will not like this statement - but please don’t shoot the messenger :D) that Tom Cruise’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman brought in about $4 million in her play The Blue Room.
Ticket vendors are already complaining that the general public is showing little interest in the show. One seller has said, “I bought 1,000 tickets to the show. I still have them.”
When the play “All My Sons” first hit the stage in 1947, it was a huge success. It received a Tony Award for Best Play.
Regardless of the the ticket sale issues, the play is set to preview on September 18th.
Any ideas as to why the ticket sales are so bad?

Unfortunetely, there is a giant jet in the way, but here are some more TomKat pictures (well sort of). Tom Cruise,Katie Holmes and Connor Cruise picked up David and Victoria Beckham, plus their adorable boys, at the Telluride, CO airport.
The Beckhams are spending the weekend with the Cruises at their gorgeous home in Colorado. Since I’m in Colorado, maybe I’ll pop over there for a visit. Haha.
I hope the Cruises and the Beckhams have a wonderful time together. And I’ll let you all know how my visit with them goes. :D
