OK! Magazine: Suri Cruise is Tom’s Salvation
OK! Magazine has a story on their website and magazine about the love Tom Cruise has for his little daughter Suri.
Say what you want about Tom Cruise’s wacky ways, his belief in scientology, and his previously over the top romance with wife Katie Holmes. As soon as he scoops his adorable daughter Suri (who turns 2 on April 18) up in his arms, you can’t help but admire the love the star clearly has for his little girl.
A friend of the Tom and Katie’s weighed in on the daughter/father relationship that they have, saying “She is Daddy’s little girl, and he doesn’t know what he’d do without her.” Tom has had some hard times lately and they say that Suri is his rock. Sure, Katie has been there for him to but there is a special bond a dad has with his daughter.
On March 25th, Tom and Suri enjoyed some time together at a park in L.A.. You can see the adorable picture of the duo here.
Many have wonder if Suri is ever allowed to just be a kid or if she is only used for PR purposes and dressed in the world’s finest duds. I think Tom and Katie seem like great parents and handle the “raising a child in the spotlight” thing very well.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw them,” a parkgoer tells OK!. “Suri was dressed up in this beautiful outfit and was down in the sand playing just like any other kid. Tom was letting her do her own thing, following her around just like any dad would.”

This time I have to agree with Ok! Magazine that Suri is indeed Tom’s little girl. I can see how Tom loves Suri very much from the photo. I also believe Tom loves his two adopted children. But I also think KH loves Suri even more. It’s just obvious from the way she looks at Suri from all the previous photos. KH trully adores Suri. Especially Suri is KH’s first child and she is indeed a beautiful little girl.

How sad for Bella and Connor that they are virtually non-existence in their father’s life. Doesn’t Bella have a special daddy-daughter relationship or does she miss out because she doesn’t have the DNA?
Also, OK is just a tabloid. It is NOT a reliable source.

I think it is cruel for one to even suggest that Tom loves Bella and Connor any less. Even the biggest critic must admit that Tom is an excellent father.
I do agree with OK (though am not their number one fan) that Tom adores his little girl. I doubt whether he even cares about his critics with Suri and Katie by his side. I guess that is why he never seems fazed by all the ridicule and efforts to bring him down. He has Suri, and Katie, Connor and Bella. He seems like a very content man.

We’ve seen pictures of Tom with Connor and Tom and Katie with both kids during the time the tabloids were worrying over Suri being ‘missing’. It looks like she was not lost either. We see a few pictures of celebrities but that’s not all they do in their lives. It isn’t like we know them personally or anything. At least I don’t!

Anna, I disagree. I’ve seen maybe one vid or photo of Tom with Connor (other than on Oscars night and Connor’s birthday) but haven’t seen any photos of Isabella, and no photos of KH with either of the older kids for months. Do you have some links to share?

Tom, Katie, Bella and Conor were all at Joan’s on Third after the memorial service for Hearh Ledger in LA…………..And yes there is video to prove it.

Connor was at the race track with Tom and also at The Lot, not sure what that is but maybe a studio? I saw pictures that looked like both kids leaving a restaurant with Katie and Tom a couple of months ago. I’m sorry, I don’t have links. What I was saying though, is that we see a picture now and then, more some times than others, but hardly enough to decide how they are living their lives. Connor and Bella live with Tom at least part of the year whether we see pictures of them or not. He’s got three children and has said he feels the same about all of them, why would we think it’s not true?

I think even the media only considers Suri the only kid of these two because the other two are not mentioned unless they are pictured with them. Yes, a baby is cuter than teens, but in other families where there is a mixture of bio and adopted, the press mentions all the kids. It is not the case here. It is Suri, Suri, Suri!! Even the pics of the new fam home: Suri and TC/KH this and Suri and TC/KH that. What about Bella and Connor. Won’t they be livign there? I am sure they will, but no mention of them.
Again, I have said we only know what their lives are like based on pics. Based on pics: This family is a family of three: TC, KH, and Suri. Bella and Connor visit.
Also, how can TC be a ‘great dad’ when Connor and Bella spent their summer in Oregon and he was in Europe jet skiing and filming with Katie and Suri. Cruise said he loves all his kids, but he cannot bare to leave Suri home alone or with another relative. This statement kind of implies he can bare to be without the other two, which is exactly what he does.
When they do make it back to LA, the adopteds stay with their Aunt and Suri lives with TC and KH at the Celebrity Center.
As a mom, I can’t bare to be away from any of my children that long. My husband would say the same thing.
And before the schooling thing gets thrown in with the other two: THEY ARE HOMESCHOOLED. Europe would be a great place to learn about history, art, and languages.
What about their sports teams? Well, TC and KH were in the states this fall and they did not attend sporting events for either kid. Katie ran her marathon with her family to cheer her on. Guess what: NO CONNOR AND BELLA!! No mention of them at all. But, Cruise’s mom and Katie’s parents and brother were supposedly there.
Point: Those two only show up for family pics now. Before Suri, they were a means to portray a loving family with kids and Katie the soccer mom.

Well, I think the older kids are old enough to know if they want to be seen or not. But when they are seen, they seem very happy. I know when I was a teenager I wanted to do my own thing, so I can’t imagine it being anything differentm, especially since we know both Tom and Kate are good parents.

I’m with “no one special” on this one. Bella and Connor are rarely mentioned on this site. In fact, the only reason they were now is because “no one special” brought it up. Hmmmm.

The media does often act as if all the children are not the same which is not right. I remember interviews when Tom was asked how it was to have a baby and he always said that he had 3 kids and it was great to be a dad but that didn’t stop them from saying it again the next time. I don’t think we can blame Tom and Katie for what the media says.
I really do agree that we only know what their lives are like based on pictures. So then how can we know what their lives are like? I hope nobody decides what my life is like from my pictures! I don’t know that Connor and Bella are living with their aunt, that was in a tabloid and I don’t remember pictures. In another tabloid it said they were all living in an apartment together but again no pictures. I don’t think we can know where Bella and Connor spent the summer, how much time they spent with their parents or much of anything else about them–we don’t know them.

I don’t understand why they dressed Suri in an apparently expensive prom dress to a sandbox. There isn’t any interaction between Suri and other kids. I am even wondering how much time they spent there. 5 minutes top? She wasn’t even playing. So sad for a little child. So very sad.
I really really disagree on how great parents TC and KH are. Great parents won’t drag their kid out in the middle of a cold night for photo ops. Great parents let their kid bond with other kids. What’s wrong with these two people. I yearn to see pix of Suri, but I am totally saddened by this staged situation.

From my class Room: I don’t think you can tell all those things from the pics. It looks like the pics were taken when Tom and Suri were about to leave. From the other parents that were there, they said Tom talked to the other parents briefly and they also menstion Suri cried but you don’t see that from the pics, do you? I think in one pics you can see Tom noticing the paps/camera aand from that moment I think they made the move.

Regarding Connor and Bella I dont think we need to worry about them, whenever we see them they are healthy and happy and like someone mentioned here even his critics admitted Tom is a great father to all his children even Morton.
And both Tom and Nicole have said in the past Bella doesn’t like to be in the public eye…she even asked her mum not to talk about her in public.

Hana is right that NK has said that Bella doesn’t like to be in the publics eye. NK has also said from the beginning that she and tc are the celebs and to please respect their childrens privacy.
That must of been one of the conditions that nk would let tc have the children if he would adhere to that rule.
You SO know that tc LOVES the attention that he gets from the photogs and with suri in his arms equals MORE attention!!

Good point PuckHappy. Nicole Kidman taught the kids to live privately, away from the spotlight. They’re not used to the hoopla. I saw an interview on Ellen where she said that, so it’s “fact.” For some reason, Tom changed the rules of his game when Suri came along and he started parading her everywhere.

Just remembered something, but don’t know if it was an actual interview, where Tom said the day Suri was born was the happiest day of his life. At the time, I thought , wow, hopefully that he didn’t actually say something like that.

We can argue all we want about this family but none of us knows what really goes on in their private lives. I don’t think it is fair to dissect every single thing they do but then again life is never fair. Am sure if Tom Cruise was Gavin Rossdale he would be called all sorts of names. If his critics stopped to think, they would realise that he is not even half as bad as they make him out to be. Sadly they are too obsessed and prejudiced to see any thing else. At least there is Karma and Tom found a perfect wife in Katie and has beautiful children and a beautiful family. That is all one asks for. I doubt he is dying to be loved by his enemies.
