    Look at this link
    http://www.tmz.com/2008/02/13/farrahs-son-busted-for-drugs-again/

Its an article of Farrah Fawcett’s son Redmond. He was recently arrested for speeding, driving under the influence and possesion of heroin. This kid is
only 23 years old. He’s been in and out of rehabs for YEARS only they have managed to keep this
out of the press. Probably as a favor to Farrah who is right now fighting for her life, she has cancer.

I read this article on Farrah’s son and think how lucky these kids have it yet most manage to screw up their lives. I once read an article where they asked Nicole Richie WHY she tried heroin and she said because she didn’t have anything else to do. She had all the credit cards, could buy all the nice handbags, shoes, dresses, etc. Life was boring and so she tried drugs.

Its not good to have too much, not too little. Life is a balancing act. I hope Suri Cruise does not go down this path. She reminds me of someone that is gonna be head strong just like her mom Katie was as a kid.

  2. ng says:

It must be a terrible existance to be isolated by controlling people. After awhile, you might even become paranoid thinking they are listening to your phone conversations, following you to meetings, etc. Does Katie even drive anymore? I mean she is not with Suri in this photograph so why not pull out the Mercedes, Lexus, or Porsche with the top down and go for a drive to clear your mind naturally without anyone writing down what your thinking.

I would NOT want to be this girl or any of these celebrities. At least other famous people go for a ride alone but this girl is constantly surrounded by handlers. How awful.

  3. ng says:

I look at these people TOMKAT, and other celebrities and I thank God for my life. I am not rich and I am not poor. It is when I see how shallow these people are, or how they have so much yet they have nothing, that I appreciate my life. Really it is so easy to take things for granted like God, your health, your parents, your family, friends, etc. I would not trade my life for any of these characters.

  4. ng says:

I know this question has been asked again and again, debated, questioned but look at this like:

    http://s117.photobucket.com/albums/o60/XENU78/?action=view&current=surisbabydaddy-1.jpg

The real father has to be Chris Klein or Josh Harlett. We’ll most likely never know but Suri looks like both of them.

  5. candice says:

wonder who she is meeting for lunch?

  6. Lilianne says:

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! May your day be filled with love and light and everything that makes you smile!!

  7. Vianne says:

Oh, it is Valentine’s Day! A Happy One from me, too! I was reading the recent posts – in one B-Mama posted a link to JJ about “normal celebrities.” On that same link is an article (link on sidebar) about an interview Michelle Williams gave a couple months before Heath died. She’s asked if she went to TomKat’s wedding and she said no, that they were not close. Here’s the link: http://justjared.buzznet.com/2008/02/13/michelle-williams-wonderland/
There’s a link under that to go to the full interview which is very interesting. She just seems more… evolved than Katie. And more truthful about the “staying in touch with all her co-stars from DC” that Katie claims is the case with her. Michelle has stayed in touch with some of her co-star friends.

  8. Hana says:

Katie said she keeps in touch with her DC co-stars…meaning it doesn’t mean all of them and she certainly didn’t say MW.

We’ve seen James Van Der Beek and Kerr Smith, at her wedding party.

  9. Hana says:

Another thing I read B-Mama said on another thread that JLo wasn’t pictured with Tom and Katie at a recent party.

Here is the pics of them together
    http://katieholmes.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=944&pos=44

  10. zoe says:

I hate that blouse…but I like the attitude. And those earrings….yuk. But physically she looks great. I wish she wouldnt try so hard with the fashion thing. It seems she doesnt have her own style, she is always copying someone else….

I’d be angry if I were her too. People were mean to her baby girl. I love Suri, but I do not think she should be out and about so much. And going to bed at 11pm…that is just wrong and Katie should know better…
And even though I love Tomkat( I really hope they last), I like not seeing them so much… it gets boring!

  11. Battlemama says:

Hana: The link took me to a sign-in page. If you could find it somewhere else that doesn’t require the sign-in, I will comment about it.

Also, I did find on the site page that Tomkat are hosting a pre-Oscar party. Wonder if they are footing the bill or if someone else is and they get to put their names on the invite as the hosts.

She looks so sad. I wonder if life is getting to her. When does she start filming her Scientology financed movie?

  12. Battlemama says:

In terms of the “Who the daddy is?” game, it lucky for Cruise and everyone Suri looks exactly like her mother.
    http://www.imnotobsessed.com/2008/01/16/katie-holmes-as-a-child/

  13. Battlemama says:

LADIES, HAVE A HAPPY tomkat VALENTINES.

FOR THOSE OF YOU IN L.A., LET US KNOW IF SEE CRUISE AND HOLMES PIMPING THEIR DAUGHTER OUT FOR THE PAPS TODAY!! (Trust me, if they drag Suri out for a Lover’s holiday, it will prove two things: 1) They are pimping their baby out and 2) They are a contract because they have nannies, and Bella at $15/hr, to watch their kid.)

  14. ng says:

From rainy Los Angeles, happy Valentine’s Day.
Yup, its raining this morning in Southern California but that should not put a damper on anyone’s day because real love survives all things. To all those people you love, your mom, dad, husband, brother, sister, kids, friends, tell them you love them. Even if they are the type that find it hard to say I love you. Say it anyway because if they leave the planet before you, your conscious will be clear because they knew you loved them.

Peace and love to everyone not just today but everyday of your life.

  15. ng says:

I just thought of that scene in the movie Terms of Endearment where Debra Winger is in the hospital dying of cancer and she summons her sons to her bedside to say goodbye. The oldest son is acting like a little brat and she wants to make sure he knows that she knew he really loved her because after she dies and he gets older and realizes he was a little jerk, he won’t feel bad. I thought that scene was so clever that I cried when I saw it.

Love is the great equalizer. Love is so powerful it transcend death. Happy Valentine’s Day.

  16. Battlemama says:

NG: You say things so well. It snowed last night here and the snow is now blowing from the wind gusts. Yippee!!

My husband and I will be going to see his father in the hospital. Unfortunately, it something that has to be done now because we just don’t know how much longer.

Everyone, even Libra and Candice, I hope that your day is filled with love and lots of romance. I do enjoy talking with you guys.

  17. Vianne says:

Hana: Then why did she and Tom attend Heath Ledger’s service- besides for their own personal promotion/photo op?

  18. Vianne says:

Nevermind, Hana. It’s Valentine’s Day and I shouldn’t be so sarcastic! Which DC co-stars were invited to the Wedding, not the After Party? Brooke Shields, who wasn’t a “friend” at all before being the recipient of Tom’s blather was invited to the Wedding And the After Party. Appearances, appearances… is all that matters with these two.

  19. ng says:

Battlemama, you don’t have to be specific but are you in the U.S.? It is RARE that it snows in Southern California. We get snow in Big Bear which are mountains about one hour away from Los Angeles and RARELY (only hail) in the city.
I hope your father-in-law feels better. Life is brief and we don’t know how much time we have and so we have to do the best we can with the things we have.

  20. Libraesque2007 says:

Happy Valentines Day to all the gorgeous women on tomkatcrazy!
I think this is a very unique, fabulous group here….we can “talk” debate, share and yet we all seem to have very different lives……..and as katie would say….I think that’s AMAZING!!!!

  21. Vianne says:

ng: That scene from Terms of Endearment was so tear-your-heart-out well done. When I left the theater years ago when it first came out, I noticed that all of us women and even alot of men had red eyes from crying. Debra Winger: Come back to the movie screen!
B-Mama’s weather sounds alot like my weather here in the Northeast! Hope your visit with your father-in-law goes well. If I had a flute of champagne or even a good white wine (more my drink anyway!) I’d offer up a toast of Good Health to all of you on Valentine’s Day!

  22. ng says:

Vianne: Its HARD today to find movies like Terms of Endearment. Now that was good movie.

  23. Vianne says:

ng: You’re right (sigh). Steel Magnolias was good. I loved the older ladies in it! I’m thinking… what others? I liked The Matchmaker with Janeane Garafalo. That was a good romantic comedy. My teenage daughter recently saw P.S. I Love You and said it was really good. If you can think up any, let me know!

  24. Libraesque2007 says:

see Pieces of April, it’s truly in the same league with the movies you’ve mentioned….and I personally think it’s the only decent movie kh has ever made

  25. Vianne says:

I’ve caught pieces of Pieces of April on tv two times to be exact. I’ll give it another try! I have a hard time with some actresses – it’s very unsettling to be watching a movie and then “catching” the actor acting. That’s what happens to me with KH.

  26. Battlemama says:

I live in the Intermountain West in the U.S, although I originally grew up back East (the mid-Atlantic states). I love the mountains and the snow. I had to laugh when you said it was raining in LA because we have been teased here with Spring-like weather and I have learned that rain in LA/California means snow here in a few days.

I loved TERMS OF ENDEARMENT and STEEL MAGNOLIAS. I have not seen PIECES OF APRIL yet, but the next time I am prowling for a movie at the local video store, I will search for that one. I have seen quite a few Cruise flicks and I can I agree that all of his roles are the same and performed the same exact way.

I also agree that there is hardly anything worth watching. I wanted to see Will Smith’s latest flick, but I just could not gear up for a vampire movie. It was sad that Smith’s movie was so popular: It was a remake of a remake. Hollywood is just not producing great movies lately.

  27. Battlemama says:

Any word yet on the Tomkat romance for today.

  28. Battlemama says:

Well, I have things to go and do! Enjoy your chocolates and flowers from your sweeties today.

I know I will take time to enjoy the sweet things in life today.

  29. jajorge says:

WICKER PARK is a good mystery/love story with josh hartnett. NOTTING HILL was good too with julia roberts and hugh grant. anyways, i’ll have to try to find PIECES OF APRIL, to check out KH. i’d love to be pleasantly surprised by seeing some real acting chops. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY Y’ALL, AND SPREAD THE LOVE!!!!!!!!

oh, yeah, and i think someone compared katie to sally fields sometime ago. well, the above photos did it for me. she looks like an older woman from the waist up. and the hair is truly dowdy.

  30. ng says:

Well the sun just came out in beautiful Southern California. It rained this morning as I drove to work. Now its a beautiful day. Love, peace, and health to everyone, everything else is a luxury. Tell all your loved ones how much they mean in your life.

Note: If they pass out, that means you don’t say it enough times…

  31. Libraesque2007 says:

    ng you’re too funny!!!
OMG I just netflixed wicker park a couple weeks ago…….I cried so hard at the end!!!!!! It was a very good movie

  32. ng says:

Its true. What try it. You’ll be surprised.

  33. Libraesque2007 says:

no, I meant the part about people passing out…..I laughed so hard I almost cried

re:farrah fawcett….what an inspiration she is……she’s fighting for her life with the most upbeat attitude

  34. Vianne says:

I’ve never heard anything about Wicker Park! When I get back from my long weekend, I’ll check it out. Thanks. I liked Notting Hill, too, except for that part where they kept showing Julia R. in the spacesuit – it seemed a bit long there, but all the rest was great! Try The Matchmaker with Janeane Garafalo – it was really good! The Wedding Date was good, I thought, with Debra Messing, but the tv movie series she did after was awful. The book was way better. I liked Four Weddings and a Funeral and the first Bridget Jones alot, too. The movie A Good Year with Russell Crowe was kinda good. Toward the end of the movie Russell was some kind of seriously sexy.

  35. ng says:

I feel so bad for Farrah. She is a trouper and it is too bad her son has all these problems especially right now. I just don’t understand WHY all these celebrities kids struggles with substance abuse:
Redmond O’Neal, Griffin O’Neal, Tatum O’Neal, Dakota Johnson, Nicole Richie, etc.

  36. Vianne says:

I just posted and it’s awaiting moderation which baffles me because it was such an inocuous post. Oh well. If it doesn’t pass, I’ll be back Monday or Tuesday.

  37. Battlemama says:

Here is a link about Scientology. I will tell you one thing: SCARY!! This is about the ’silent birth’ crap and not discussing hurt and sickness. Can you imagine having to write a note to someone to call an ambulance. There are other links about this cult if you guys have time to read them.

Here is a pleasant thought for us all:

[Note: WARNING! The Cult Awareness Network (CAN) was recently bankrupted and bought up by Scientology. We strongly recommend you do not contact them for assistance.]

  39. Battlemama says:

here is a reference to CAN being taken over by Scientology.

  40. Battlemama says:

here is something to laugh at:

“While Oscar winner Russell Crowe films his new thriller, State of Mind, in L.A., obviously a plain old hotel wouldn’t do for the actor, his wife, Danielle Spencer, and their children, Charlie,4, and Tennyson,1. The only residence fit for the Crowe family is the old stomping grounds of Scientology’s royal family: Tom, Katie and Suri Cruise. Russell and his family have been paying a cool $25,000 per week to rent the Beverly Hills mansion.

The Cruises vacated the house last year. Although it served as home to the world’s biggest movie star and his family, the mansion, which was built in 1927 and boasts “massive” staff quarters, has been branded “run-down” and “unfashionable” by insiders.

Meanwhile, Tom, Katie and Suri have been staying in the penthouse suite at the exclusive “VIP only” Celebrity Scientology Hotel in Hollywood, Calif, while work is being finished on their new $35 million Beverly Hills home. Former guest and fellow Scientologist John Travolta describes the hotel in their pamphlet as a place to get “good rest, good food, good service but most of all I felt very safe in this space.”

Since Andrew Morton’s controversial Tom Cruise biography hit bookstores, the Cruise family has been spending quite a bit of time holed up inside the posh hotel.

A source tells PageSix.com: “It’s a shame because they used to go out and about more but since that book came out they always stay inside the hotel with Suri.”

Happy Valentine’s day a little late to all of you! I really enjoy reading all the banter and contributing when I can. I guess you know where I live- snowy north western Ohio! A winter wonderland right now!!
I’ve never heard of the movie Wicker Park either- I will have to put it on my netflix list! I liked Four Weddings and a Funeral also- when John Hannah (Matthew) read that poem at the end- I lost it! I will post it if I can find it.
I heard ‘Pieces of April’ was a good flick-if fact I was just reading about how it was well recvd at Sundance- I didn’t know it was an inde film!

  42. toledo fan says:

In memoriam of all those who have gone too soon- those we have loved and lost too soon. I too lost someone too early in life- a loss like this, like some of you also described- changes who you are.
Here is the poem- remember- he was speaking in a wonderful British accent- which made it even more poignant.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone by
    W. H. Auden

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

    Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
    My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

    The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
    Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

  43. lala says:

She knows what to wear and what to do better lately and she looking really like a top model! Go ahead lovely Katie!
