Michelle Monaghan: ‘I Do Hope I Made Tom Giggle a Bit’

Michelle Monaghan was Tom Cruise’s co-star on Mission Impossible III. ContactMusic.com has an article that says she is baffled by critics who call Tom uptight. She insists the actor is easy-going and even though he has a reputation for being a controlling perfectionist while working on a movie, she just doesn’t get it.
Monaghan says that she had a lot of fun working on the 2006 film with Tom.
She says, “I do hope I made Tom giggle a bit, because he’s not as serious as people make out.”
Okay, her quote sounds very weird to me. I don’t get it, do you? Anyway, who knows how valid this is, but I thought I would share it with you anyway. :)

I had read a few years ago that tc had made a casting call about the same time as they were casting for MI3. I remember reading that Jessica Alba and katie holmes were on toms list. But for whatever reason, Jessica did not go to the interview.

Maybe she was on the wife list Tom was interviewing for, maybe he giggled because he would have wanted her for his wife, not sure if she auditioned for the part or not. In any case, he’s so perfectly happy now it doesn’t matter.

Katie Holmes is way prettier than this girl. I don’t care what she says, she was probably nervous and didn’t use words correctly, probably knows her movie is gonna suck butt! Made of Honor, really cheesy, I went to see Harold and Kumar last night. OMG it was hella funny. In one scene, they are on a military plane and the Top Gun, Kenny Loggins music came on! Pretty cool song. I totally recommend this movie! Its no surprise, the soundtrack is one of the most googled things right now.

She is married with a kid, but Jennifer Garner auditioned when she was pregnant and engaged to Ben Affleck. Why don’t people do research before concocting theories.

Off topic - I was wondering today, where is Hally Berry’s baby. We haven’t seen/heard anything from her since she had her baby. It reminds me of when Tom and Katie didn’t come off right away with pics of Suri. I’ve just being dying to see that baby, though =)

I don’t know what to think of this quote because it sounds really weird and out of context. I don’t know why people are suddenly feeling like they have to come out of the woodwork to let us all know what a great guy Tom is. It reminds me of that phrase “methinks thou dost protest too much.”
On another topic, I don’t think that auditioning for being someones spouse sounds romantic. I think it sounds bizarre. Being a real life wife/husband/partner to someone isn’t a role that you play. It isn’t a part for a movie where you get to pretend you care about someone for a time and then move on.

But, I thought Tc was soooo loving, accepting, tolerant, and not controlling. Keeping someone close to you because they don’t embrace your beliefs IS CONTROLLING AND A MAJOR RED FLAG THAT ABUSE IS OR CAN BE OCCURING!
That is why TC dumped pregnant Nicole–because she wasn’t fully embracing Scientolgy. WOnderful religion—believe or get dumped and visit kids by web cam.
Lauren and other fans: I wonder if Tom Cruise beat his wife and kids if you would still defend him so rabidly.
He already neglects Connor and Bella–I don’t call abondoning your kids for seven months the act of a loving and caring parent.

No one knows what the reasons were for Tom divorcing NK…………….She has never said and neither has he.
Bella and Conor visited their mother on the set of Australia and i believe some of that time coincided with the time that Tom was filming Valkyrie in Germany…………..I remember TC saying that everyone was together in Germany at some point. Even Katie’s parents visited.
Katie has gone off on her own………..They like being together but it’s not like they’re joined at the hip.
NK has said om many occasion that Bella and Conor prefer LA and living with their father.

KAtie has never been allowed to go off on her own. She always has a handler and a couple of toms body guards with her. Even when she left Suri at as an very young infant to go to Paris for that week she had CoS handlers with her.
NOT that there is anything wrong with that IF that is how you want to live your life. I am just saying that she is NEVER on her own. Not even when her parents are around is she without her handler.

I have been reading the comments here for a while and was wondering if someone could explain to me why some people keep singing the same tune? By that I mean: “if you don’t like Tom then why visit a fan site”? I don’t know why it is anyone’s business why someone goes to any site and I don’t think that people should have to explain their motives or their purpose. Noone here is the “motive police”. There are also a bunch of people who keep saying that if you want to spew your hate then you should go to another place to do that. I think those who say that completely miss the point. I really doubt that anyone who comments here “hates” Tom or Katie because to hate someone you don’t even know and have never seen face to face would be ridiculous. You can not appreciate someone’s work or their personality and even disapprove of their behavior without hating them.

Katie is never ALONE/on her own! She will ALWAYS have a bodyguard and handler with her.
She has said so herself. There is NOTHING wrong with it.
When people deny that Katie is now 24/7 with a handler, it makes it sound as if it is wrong and they are trying to cover up some kind of controlling behavior.
It is how she now lives. And remember SHE IS HAPPY, IN LOVE, AND DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE A THING.

And to add, just because we see katie alone in a photograph, does NOT mean that she it at the event alone.
I saw a picture of JUST Suri at the park, does THAT mean she was there “alone”? no. It just means that it was a picture of JUST her.

We know Katie has bodyguards and a driver but there is video and pictures of her going places alone.
That comment about seeing pictures of Suri in the park alone was a good one though, since we both know that one or either parent was with her. Still, it brought a smile to my face. There are pics of Katie going to several auditions and other places alone.

I can’t believe some one could miss something as simple as sarcasm. Of course Tom is so romantic, he auditions girls for his wives.
Connor and Bella are ignored? I am glad you said that just in time for pictures of Tom with Connor and Bella at tha LA galaxy game. He has to be the best father ever.
Tom Cruise beating his wife is moot, so I will not answer that. As it happens, he is one of the most honest and most polite celebrities out there.
I want to see Halle Berry’s baby too. Must be gorgeous!
