Katie Holmes “We’re Gonna Dress Up and Do it Right!”

MTV was live blogging during the 2008 MTV Movie Awards and they have a couple of entries with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Here they are:
9:03 p.m. — Katie Holmes made a beeline for hubbie Tom Cruise, giving him a kiss and wishing him “Good luck” as he chatted up friend Ben Stiller. Cruise then ran into none other than Sarah Jessica Parker, offering her a big hug and congrats for the big “Sex and the City” opening. “So good to see you again,” SJP replied.
9:05 p.m. — Holmes was next up for Parker, who indulged her affection towards Carrie Bradshaw. “I haven’t seen the movie yet,” she said of “Sex.” “I want to have all my friends over. We’re gonna dress up and do it right!”

My friends and I went and saw SATC last friday, five girls all dressed up. There were all of maybe 10 men in a packed cinema. We’d a great time and the movie was very good. When it finished everyone started clapping.
Wow, it was that good? DAmn, I got to see that.
Dress up and do it right! just sound like KATIE HOLMES! She look so beautiful and happy. Love you TOMKAT.

Haven’t watched it yet but a friend of mine in Singapore has and she is raving about it. I am definitely not missing it.
Why not have just a nice family/friends nite, casual, comfortable, popcorn and snacks movie night. Why does it have to be some kind of ‘dress up’ production??
They are gorgeous and so happy, it’s amazing and so perfect.
Popcorn at home, no question at all, but MTV popcorn event, Wow! its a big special event otherwise they dont asked the most favous actor Tom Cruise to be there….
Mom: I think you have to be over 18 to watch SATC (so she can’t watch it with family/kids) and I’m not sure its TC/everybody’s cup of tea (my bf doesn’t like it). SATC is the kind of movie you have to watch with your girlfriends and dressing up is part of the fun.
Rowlin, if you were a fan of the TV show, you’ll love the movie.
Yeah, I am not sure you can watch it in a jumper and T-shirt, personally it is defintely a cinema movie but we do have get togethers with girlfriends some weekends all dressed to the nines catch a movie at one of our houses and then go out later at night. I am thinking that is the kind of thing she is alluding to.

The key phrase here is her saying “all my friends”. What friends?- tc’s sisters? his mother? maybe some women (who have been approved by tc of course) from the celebrity centre? She dumped all her REAL friends in absolute obedience to tiny tom!
Darin, are you one of Katie’s friends? You don’t know anything about her besides the stuff the media/tabs try to brainwash you with. Her father is on the record saying that she still stays in touch with her “real” friends.
You only see 1% of these people’s life, so don’t pretend to know them!
TOMKAT are kind and friendly. So thats why they got a lot of friends and Katie’s real friends, of course still around. They are so Blessed!

DArin I agree. All of her DC costars have said that they no longer hear from kh. And many of her long time childhood friends have said in newspapers NOT TABLOIDS, that kh will not return their calls since she hooked up with tt.
So yea, it is tt sisters and mothers as her only friends.
NOT all of her DC co-stars have said that! Katie didn’t stay friends with all of them after DC ended (before she met TC)….she only kept in touch with the men.Two of her DC co-stars were at her wedding party. One is on the record saying he keeps in touch with her.
No one from her childhood friends has ever said she doesn’t keep in touch with them. We’re talking about Katie and anything about her will make the tabs and gossip sites even if they said it in newspapers!
Well, the world according to Lauren is that as long as someone gives their name it is reliable.
Melinda “Mellie” Sparks, and Shawna Gleason, BOTH have said that BFF Katie no longer returns their calls. And they are heartbroken that all those slumber parties and tp parties are now for not.

I think Katie’s true friends have been very loyal to her and the friendship they share.
Her father is on record as saying that Katie still keeps in contact with her friends in Ohio.
I think her circle of friends has gotten much smaller with tc. If you recall, during Oprah Tom said his friends consist of his sisters. They don’t seem to associate much with the outside world.

I’ve no idea what site you’re talking about. I read the non-fans opinion about Mr and Mrs Holmes here at this blog on another thread…comparing Mr Holmes achievement and intellectuality with TC’s.
NOPE twasn’t me that posted on THIS site about Mr. Holmes, until now.
And a ” intellectual lawyer” would say what he has to say to keep close to a family member. THAT is what makes him ” intellectual”.

If I read anything you posted on anther website, I’ll say so. I’ve done it with others in the past and others have done it with me.
Regarding Mr Holmes. I can say that a religious and smart man like that will not put up with “SP” bs (whatever that is and I don’t want to know either).
IF you do not know what a “SP” is, then how do you know it is bs?
And no, I would NOT say that I was “admiring” Mr. Holmes at anytime. Rather I was speculating that he had done something.
