Katie Holmes Turns Down Batman
I loved Katie’s role in the last Batman movie so I’m sad she turned down the sequel:
O.K., so we cannot prove Tom Cruise is the culprit behind Katie Holmes turning down a $2 million deal to star in the sequel to ‘Batman Begins’.
One has to wonder if Tom or should we say Katie’s relationship with had something to do with it though.
The actress was expected to reprise her role as Rachel Dawes alongside caped crusader Christian Bale for ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ but has pulled out because of "scheduling conflicts".
Rumours have already circulated that Katie has been replaced by ‘Wedding Crashers’ actress Rachel McAdams for the comic-book adventure, also starring Heath Ledger as The Joker.

Im depress too because I love her portrayal of Rachel Dawes. I enjoy her chemistry opposite Bale.
But Im more relieved that she is not giving up acting.She is doing a different role by doing a comedy alongside Queen Latifah and Diane Keaton.
The 3rd actress is still not announced.
She is also rumored to do an action movie as a young New York cop opposite Robert DeNiro.

She did not turn down the role, she was the only cast member that was not asked back. The studio claims her association with Cruise, and all the bad publicity is the reason Batman Begins failed at the box office, and they couldn’t risk that again

See that’s where the tabloids are high because since when did Batman Begins fail at the box office. Its Superman Returns that didnt meet their budget. LOLOL!!!!!
