Katie Holmes to Make Guest Appearance on Eli Stone

People Magazine is reporting that Katie Holmes will make a guest appearance on the ABC comedy Eli Stone!! I am so excited!
According to a source, she’s slated to appear in one episode when the legal comedy-drama returns this fall. She’ll play a non-profit attorney whose mysterious case leads her to Eli (Jonny Lee Miller). Rumors that Tom Cruise would guest-star are incorrect, the source says. Cruise, Holmes and daughter Suri were spotted on the show’s set earlier this week.
Katie has a connection with the Eli Stone producer Greg Berlanti from her stint on Dawson’s Creek as Joey Potter.
There is no word on when exactly the show will air. All we know is “sometime this fall”. I have pictures of Tom, Katie and Suri leaving Union station after a taping of the show and I’ll post those in just a minute.
I am so glad that Katie has come back to TV even if it is just for a one-time appearance. I hope this is the beginning of more sitcoms for Katie, or at least TV of some sort.

I wonder why she chose to go back to TV? I know she’s got a supporting role in “All My Sons”, but I didn’t think she would backtrack and do TV again. That surprises me. Maybe it’s because of Greg Berlanti.
Lets face it, Mad Money was not well received. The critics savaged Katie and the film did poorly so perhaps she feels working on Broadway and doing a little thing on TV will help her reputation. Any press is good press, right? LOL!

Katie should never have turned down the role for The Dark Night! What was she thinking? That would have been huge for her career.
