Battlemama–Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe you wrote that you believe that Paula is a cult member as well (even though she has denied it). I think so too! The hand-kissing is really weird..I can’t think of any explanation except that Paula is a member of CO$ and as such, considers Katie the “Queen” of the CO$ since Tom is supposedly second in command. I know this sounds far out but these people are strange to say the least.

Can someone explain what is going on with Katie’s lips? It’s like she had a bunch of “gunk” on her lips before her lipstick was applied. And what’s with the wrinkles/bags under her eyes? The cult is obviously taking a toll on her physical appearance. Finally, look at her eyes. I was able to enlarge a couple of the photos. Her eyes say it all. She looks tired and empty and her soul is lost.

Yea, I do think Paula is a cult member. Two reasons, I can’t believe Scientology would let somone that close to Cruise who wasn’t (and I think her husband’s firm handles KH) and if you notice lately, it is Paula who is getting Katie involved in things (i.e. the domestic violence luncheon and now presenting her award).

I could be wrong about this. I have been wrong about things in the past.

Sad to look at it like this but there are now two more innocent victims of scientology. J-Lo gave birth to twins. Just look at people.com. Why is it that Leah Remini always has to be the cult spokesperson. In the people.com article she’s going off about how great a mother J-Lo will be, etc. She did this with Tom and Katie, as did Jada Pinkett. I guess all the cult members are all hiding something and they all protect each other.
As far as I’m concerned, they’re all evil.

JLo and Marc have said they are raising the kids Catholic. Marc won’t have anything to do with Scientology. Leah Remini has been trying hard/stalking them to get them to convert.

Leo, I think her lips have had fever blisters–might be the ‘cleansing’ they do with all that niacin and veggie oil. I have also noticed this on numbers of pictures in the past as well. Sometimes the lipstick sort of covers it. Very pronounced in these pics here tho.

I don’t have much to say about Leah Remini because I think she is a little weird and overzealous. But as for Katie’s lips….umm…it IS winter everyone. I don’t think that celebs are immune to things like chapped and dry lips just because they are well known and well off. They suffer the same everyday things that we do since they really are just humans like we are. I know that even though I use chapstick everyday and take care of myself I still have days when my lips are dry and flaky. And as for the cold sores/fever blisters….that isnt something she can help either. Some people are just prone to getting them and it can’t really be helped. I get them about 3 times a year and they are terrible to have. My doctor told me that there isnt much I can do about it..it is just part of my make up. Anyone who has ever had one would probably be sympathetic to those who get them because they are not only painful to have they make you feel like you are gross and ugly too.

Agree with lilli. Have you tried taking L-Lycene? It is a vitamin my hubbie takes when he starts to feel them coming on. It is supposed to lessen the effects of them.
My husband gets them and he says they hurt when they are about to erupt. He gets sores around his nose, so Kh actually looks fine with hers, if that is what it is. They also erupt more when you are stressed. (I am sure KH will be perfect lips for this weekend.)
Also, you have to be careful when touching your face, kissing, etc. because it is caused by the H e r p e s virus and can spread to other, more private places.

Anywho, I don’t see the point in blowing pics up to see if you can notice every flaw the person has.

I did like KH’s hair at the Black Essence Awards. I liked the wavey loose hair better than the straight, schlacked down curled under look. Her dress was not something I would personally not wear, but it looked more suited for her age.

She has definately been taking modeling lessons lately. It is apparent in how she is standing and posing with Cruise. She is there to be the fashion model, not the adoring wife any more.

It still makes me sick how she sold her baby for this. I can’t look at her without thinking about that baby and how KH sold her to that cult.

What is up with TC’s sweater vest thing lately? I keep thinking he is dressing somewhere between Hugh Hefner and the rich yuppie from Beverly Hills. Wonder if his wife is dressing him again.

Swarovski President’s Award…….what does that even mean, it makes NO sense, and it wasn’t even an award last year…it’s ttoally made up…these people are utterly pathetic

Mama…yes, I have tried the L-Lycine. But the time in between when I first feel it coming on and when it is a full blown sore is so short that taking it doesnt really help. The last time I got one I woke up at 4:00 am and could tell one was coming and by the time I got up later on 7 the blisters were already there. And, yes, stress is a factor in bringing them on.

I do agree with you about Katie’s hair at the event with Jada Pinkett. It was really cute like that. I was wondering about her body positions in some of the pics though….it looked like some of them were very posed. It just made me curious about why she would do that..stand like she was presenting herself to the world…I thought it a little strange.

While I didn’t love the outfits that KH and TC wore at that event I didn’t see anything wrong with the fact that they coordinated some things. I didn’t really like Katie’s dress since it kind of looked like something that was just sewn together in a hurry but I loved her shoes and her hair. And I am not a big fan of the sweater and tie under a suit jacket but thought the color was nice. Their outfits weren’t exactly matching…the purple in her shoes matched the color of his sweater and tie. I don’t really mind that….thought it was kind of sweet. On Valentine’s Day..when my husband and I went out for Chinese…we both wore red shirts. I guess maybe some would find that a little strange too? :-)

I’ve got one better- we know a couple-educated, husb successful business man-they used to dress alike as a family! At one event he wore a PINK polo shirt- she wore a pink casual dress and the teen dtr wore pink also. turns out (what I suspected and we all later realized) he was a controlling p r i c k! She is Catholic so divorce was not an option to her- in her mind. So she was in counseling constantly with her priest but still developed debilitating physical ailments from all the stress. The absurd thing here- she’s still with the jacka s s !
Think Katie will give all this up? odds are slim!

Maybe there’s some truth to the Star mag story about Suri’s Surreal life. According to the mag that Suri doesn’t eat MacDonald(course not, she may not even eat solid food), doesn’t watch TV(but she’s an AI fan, said KH) etc. I don’t believe what the so-called insider said that she’s “extremely well-behaved”. But I do think they must limit her playmates to only kids from $cieno families. Also, Posh must have declined TC’s invitation, otherwise, would you think KH and TC would miss such photo shoots?
Plus, I am also suspicious the two stop showing Suri to the flashlights for she’s less and less controlable.

My daughter is two months younger than Suri and is displaying the “terrible twos” behavior already. (Screaming and having mini-tantrums for no apparent reason in public.) I agree that they’re leaving her at home now because they can’t control what is considered normal behavior from a child this age. Can’t have the paps catch her acting anything other than the “strong woman” she is. LOL!

The latter of Suri screaming because they forced her into the water although they supposedly try to avoid unpleasant situations or else they might tramatize her. What hucklehead puts his 16 months old daughter in the cold water and not expect her to be scared? And the mother just watches or looks the other way (because she’s been trained to do that).

Yes, Suri is probably going into a new phase because she’s normal, not extraordinary, she’s a normal child who’s about to go into the terrible twos and so Cruise and Katie, get used to either being embarassed in public when she throws a tantrum or start getting used to going out alone with Suri.

…and turning two might be the best thing that happens to Suri because her parents will be forced to leave her at home thus making their outings less interesting. Really, I think they are a boring couple without Suri. In my opinion, what makes them interesting is Suri because she is a cute little girl and happens to come out cute or adorable in pictures. But if she starts acting up in public, you know Cruise will put her through some rigorous training like the way they taught her to say “HI” and blow a kiss only he’ll make sure she learns to do other “cute” things in public.

Today, the media is no longer just photos, its videos that are uploaded onto blogs and YOUTUBE for people to see all over the world and he’s got a movie coming up in October so I am bettting all their outings will be strategicly planned.

Look at this video taken in Nov 2007, the night before Katie ran the marathon. There is a scene where Cruise, Suri, and Katie are walking and Cruise puts his hand on Suri’s head and she disses him like saying don’t touch me. He doesn’t look pleased by her reaction. You can tell he does not like those type of scenes RECORDED in public. I don’t believe he doesn’t say “no” to Suri. He looks like a very egotistic, controlling, image obsessed, weight conscious of her partner and kids, etc. type of man. Its very hard to live with this type of partner. Its his way or the highway and since he’s the one with the money its gonna be his way.

Cruise is shrinking and Katie’s getting taller. This is not a good picture of them. Objectively speaking, the tide has turned and his box office glory days are over. When I see pictures of him I think of Scientology and not in a positive way but in a FREAK SHOW, WEIRD CULT, EVIL way. Agree, that is a freaky picture. Katie looks like a clothes hanger! In the pictures above in the post, it looks like her mannerisms are changing. She seems to be trying out the Princess Diana coy look.
I forgot which which post, but I agree with jajorge’s opinion that Katie knew exactly what she was getting into.
The purpose of the auditing sessions is to have the person repeat the bothersome experience over and over again until the person feels no emotion about it. I imagine Katie is getting quite a bit of those sessions - maybe that’s why she is so weird lately.

I guess this means the rumors were true that Angelina Jolie pregnant. Now I don’t want to be a critic but that does mean she went skiing and to Irag while being pregnant. Why?

I didn’t really like her pre Maddox but I began to have new respect her for adopting Zahara, Maddox, and Pax. I think Motherhood did wonders for her. Who knows the real story of her childhood. I think a lot of things that happen to us as children play a huge role in how we turn out as adults. However, as adults we have the opportunity to change any negative emotions.

When I see Angelina and Brad I see an accomplicee between them, a sexual chemistry, they look like a real couple, one that loves, argues, makes up and goes on in life. I don’t see that in Cruise and Katie.

What binds Cruise and Katie is Suri. I think Brad and Angelina are binded by their children but also a lot of other passions of good will. Yes, they get publicity but they also do good. I mean Angelina did NOT have to go to Iraq in this last trip especially now that she’s pregnant but she did. She should be more prudent sometimes. Good luck to her.

NG: I agree about her turning two. It would be a good thing.
(I will probably have people yell at me about this, but oh, well!!) To a certain extent, kids loose their overall ‘cuteness’ after two or three. There is something about babies that makes them sooooo cute to photograph! I think this may explain why Katie and TC may be so desperate for another baby…because Suri is loosing that baby cuteness that the media loves and that sells. That is why there is this “Poor Katie needs help conceiving,” etc.

Look at the media, they bounce from celeb to celeb because of the babies, not the older kids.

And things are gonna get very competitive with celebrities’ babies. There’s a new crop of them: JLo’s (and you know she’s gonna be extravagant), Christina Aguilera, Angelina and Brad’s current and future kiddies, Violet Affleck, Kate Hudson’s little boy, etc.

Battlemama: I agree that little babies are adorable, little cuties and then they get a little bigger and are not always so photogenic. I think is very cute and adorable but a lot of her cuteness also comes from her designer clothers, tailor made clothes, like that cute grey Armani dress or red Ralph Lauren dress, etc. But now comes the terrible twos and not only do kids get taller and some lose their cuteness, they also become louder and are trying to break free. Right now Suri is gonna go through tough times: she needs to be potty trained, lose the bottle, and in a few months possibly start pre-school.

As Suri gets older, I predict it will also get harder on Katie because if she’s not 100% won over by the Scientologists movement she’s gonna have to witness Suri going to classes and going through certain rituals. I don’t know the minimum age it is for audits and e-meters but that is in Suri’s future. God help her and have mercy on Suri.

I think when your child is a baby you feel safe because she is in YOUR world and she does everything you tell her to do. And she wants to please mommy and daddy. She lives in a confined space especially if you are a stay at home mom and so everything is safe. But once that little baby starts growing and growing and talking and saying “no” or “yes” or screaming or throwing tantrums because she’s not getting her way, you realize you are kind of losing her and she’s becoming her own person and that’s what’s she suppose to be. Only problem is you can’t control the outside world. And sometimes outside influences try to come into the home via television, the Internet, radio, Ipods, cell phones, etc. It can be tough sometimes protecting children from bad influences.

Ew, Katie looks lvery middle aged and matronly in these pictures, with saggy boobs to boot. That awful haircut still looks like a wig to me. Too bad it’s not. She is rail thin right now. I really think she must dread getting pregnant and losing her figure. She must CRINGE when she looks at her pregnant and post partum pictures when she had plumped up. I bet next time she gets pregnant she’ll be one of those psychos like Nicole Richie who remains anorexic, which is so selfish to do to your baby. You guys are right that she’s obviously been working with somebody on standing/posing like a super model — she probably fancies herself quite the super model. Hardly. I miss her youthful, exububerant, giggly girl-next-door look. I guess she has nothing to giggle about anymore now that TC and Scientology have sucked the life out of her. Pitiful. I love you guys’ posts about Suri moving past the cute baby stage and therefore will be less photogenic and less appealing to the paps. Here’s another thought: what’s going to happen when Suri hits kindergarten and starts losing her teeth and hitting that awkward stage? They’ll probably hide her away and pimp out their newest infant. Which leads me to my next question: how many babies do we think they’ll have before TC trades Katie in for a younger bride?

I really believe that it will be Cruise and the Church of Scientology (and I put them as one) that will one day cut Katie loose NOT the other way around, Katie leaving Cruise. Even if she wanted to leave I think she won’t (even if she’s miserable). I say she won’t leave for the same reason Nicole Kidman stayed, she will get used to the “good life.” She has to her disposal: clean and high count bedsheets, servants and personal staff, nice cars, private planes, Armani designer clothes, hairstylist, stylists, trainers, unlimited use of credit cards, etc. All she has to do is submit to e-meters and audits and escort Cruise to premieres and Scientology events and look as beautiful, slim, and young for as long as possible. And keep Suri looking cute, slim, and adorable in those photo opportunity outings.
