She looks so happy! Honestly, she looks better in his arms instead of Tom’s!! They are closer in age and it just looks better and makes more sense!!!

If you think so than a lot of couple does not make sense. Starting with Brad and Jolie , Flockart and Ford, Douglas and Zeta-jones, and also Marilyn Manson and his 18 Years old girlfriend , oh wait one more Whitney Houston and Brandy Norwood little brother.

Frankly, age aint nothing but a number. I would rather have Tom Cruise any day!!!He is a cutie though. I admit it is strange seeing Katie in another man’s arms. But at least the stories about no love interest have been disproved.

Great pic, I’ve seen Adam before and he’s an awesome actor, not going to get to caught up in the tabloids but I think this is a great role for both of them. Gives Adam great exposure, gives Katie an opportunity to re-establish herself as an actress with an unknown actor and in a different light than the tabloids. Best of luck to both

Now THAT is a cute couple! But I agree with Tia, it looks like Katie is a bit unsettled but since this was during a movie scene, we don´t know what the dialogue was. ;-)
Is it me or does Katie resemble Jolie from A mighty heart a bit in the one pic with her alone in that dalmatiner shirt?! The hair is exactly the same…

KH does look uncomfortable being around another man. Actually, her clothes look pretty ugly and plain. And what’s with her tight jeans? Her legs and knees look fat in them. Her top looks like a maternity top.

Tom is a Scientologist. If that isn’t a calling card for “I’m an idiot” then I don’t know what is. If you believe that aliens are the reason for your depression and that the only way to get rid of them is to hook your brain up to a stupid machine that does nothing, you’re an idiot! Seriously, all those women who love Tom are also in the same boat. SAVE KATIE! Get out now or else Xenon will get you!

Katie is looking rather old and haggered these days. Living with Tom Cruise probably has that effect. What the cameras did capture in these pics, is a fear in Katie’s eyes. Cruise intimidiates her and it shows. She is not even free to shoot a scene and act the part of happy, or flirtatious. In front of the cameras Katie looks strained, but away from the watchful eye of camera and Tom Cruise might suggest something else. The age thing is not as important as the control and authority Cruise exerts over her. Holmes is clearly showing signs of the strain. It’s too bad, she gave up her family, life, personality to be some robotic wife of a religious fanatic. Maybe one day she’ll wake up.

Maybe there is hope for Holmes after all: Katie Holmes has been “flirting” with her “Mad Money” co-star Adam Rothenberg, according to Life & Style, which reports that the twosome has been throwing more into their romantic performances than the movie script calls for.
Holmes needs help and support to get out of that relationship. It’s not going to be easy, and there could be a problem with custody that Cruise maybe throwing in her face.
It appears Cruise is making Holmes take parenting classes because he does not want her to expose their daughter to Catholicism, or outside threats to Scientology. Sounds like a jail sentence to me.
“They shot a scene in which Adam wrapped his arms around Katie’s waist, then the two of them had an intimate discussion,” a “set insider” told L&S. “They lingered after the director said ‘cut,’ and it got everyone talking.”
“There’s definitely been some off-camera flirting,” the insider told the magazine, however. “One day, Katie was touching Adam’s arm while they were talking, like girls do when they like somebody.”
But here’s just how bad things have gotten; Katie has sought the advice of Nicole Kidman, she is that desperate: Katie Holmes’s has reportedly begged Nicole Kidman for help with Tom Cruise.
‘atie and Tom have been reported to argue over everything, from her career, her friends and the big one – Scientology,
At first, she did whatever he asked. But eventually he took advantage and she rebelled and even threatened to leave him.
Her relationship with Cruise, like all his other relationships, is doomed to end.

Is Katie Holmes flirting with her co-star?

To Hanna: Guys are no different than women. We talk, think, and discuss news, topics, relationships, goals, likes, dislikes, even the tabloids like everyone else. Some women think they are the only ones who would discuss those and more important world topics. I would think an astute woman would know men engage in all conversation, unless they are hermits, or into denial. We also very much understand and recognize control and abuse when we see it. Cruise is controlling Holmes. It’s sad really. It should be a lesson to women out there to be aware and stand up for yourselves, and set limits, leave when you need to, otherwise, in future relationships these women become jaded, frightened, and insecure and it makes having a relationship with them difficult. They eventually can have difficulty later with boundaries themselves. It takes counselling, and support to help these people through such relationships.
I work with people who come from abusive or over controlled backgrounds.

I agree with John. Katie is being controlled by Tom. It’s sad to see. I also believe the article about her flirting with the actor on the set. She is going through a very stressful time right now and Adam could seem like a life raft to her. Quite often where there is smoke there is fire. Remember all the rumours and denials about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt being involved on the set. Well it turned out to be true so I also believe this rumour to be true. Tom Cruise won’t like this. Time to send Katie to some Scientology hideaway for punishment.

Mary, anyone can post here. I know some doctors and lawyers who read this news. You’d be surpised who reads this and will comment at times. Especially if they feel that people are being influenced by the wrong information and they can make a difference by providing healthy information. The internet is now a very important tool used in getting information out to the public. A lot of people read these topics, and professionals know that.

To be honest, I don´t believe this story either. I´m no TomKat supporter (but interested in them so get off my back, LOL) but the tabloids had been waiting for a male star to show up since day one of this movie´s confirmation to make up their “flirt rumor”. At first there was no man involved because Tom was too jealous to allow it and now that they were proven otherwise they just have to ride that angle and go with it.
Too predictable this time.

Yes and Pres Clinton claimed he never had an affair with Monica Lewinsky. Sorry Hannah, the denial isn’t good enough for me. After seeing Katie Holmes abandon her family, friends, religion, life for some guy who makes her do flip flops for him and ask how high she can jump, I’m inclined to believe things aren’t so happy in paradise and that this rumour could be true. If not with this actor, she’ll eventually cut lose with another. Slavery was ended years ago. Katie’s life is not disimilar to a life of women living in the middle east. Sad actually. As a woman, this sort of thing disgusts me.
For some of you who would do anything, inlcuding sacrifice integrity, character, values and morals to be with a guy like Tom Cruise, who has money and power, than no, you’ll support a guy like this and won’t see anything wrong with this picture. But, there is something very seriously wrong with their relationship. It will eventually come out. Hopefully Katie has the courage to act sooner, rather than be the timid little stepford wife, puppy dog that she has aloud herself to be. Get some courage and integrity Katie if you’re reading this. You can’t respect yourself this way, and no one else will either, including Tom. That’s why he’s able to control you under his thumb.

She is better off with anyone but Tom. You can tell she really likes him… maybe she’ll open her eyes and see that she Tom’s a controlling, weird, and that she’s too young be tied up with someone who she’s just going to regret being with in the end.

Katie Holmes is struggling. She first fell in love with Tom and what he represented. She was caught up in the fairy tale of it all. But she has had a rude awakening with his strange religion, and his controlling ways. Katie Holmes has given up so much including her own identity. Let this be a reminder to all you young girls who fall in love, letting raw emotion guide you over using your head, and put your men up on pedestals. No one belongs on a pedestal. People are people. Eventually reality sets in and then you see what is really there. Katie Holmes has aged recently, and looks stressed. In the one picture of her snuggling with Adam Rothenburg - she looks like she’s been caught in a compromising situation on film that she’d rather not been caught in. The first picture of the two, Holmes is smiling, but as she catches the cameraman’s eye, that changes. Perhaps she’s a better actress than I originally thought, knowing she’d probably get into some trouble after the cameraman captured an interesting moment between her and Rothenburg. Holmes looks worried in picture 2. She probably felt she’d have some explaining to do to Tom Cruise, and the smile dropped.
Tom Cruise can deny there’s any problems, but I think we’ve all heard movie stars deny they had relationship problems before only to see them break up months later.
I feel sorry for Katie. She has a beautiful daughter, but that daughter is going to suffer if Holmes stays in the relationship with Cruise the way that relationship is. Her daughter will not respect her, and will eventually rebel. Holmes will either have to stand up to Cruise and gain some crediblity and respect, or leave him. There won’t be any happiness in her life with the situation the way it is. Scientology is a cult. And, I’d be worried about anyone that was so fanatical about any religion. Hopefully she goes back to her family and her roots. That will take a lot of strength and courage and I’m not so certain she has any left. She seems to be a mere shadow of her former self.
For those who are close to Holmes and who relaly care about her, they will need to provide her with a lot of support. She might be so afraid of losing everything she has that she may intially resist their support and help, so hopefully they don’t get discouraged and give up but continue to help her. She needs to be empowered and develop some self respect. She needs to understand what a healthy relationship is.

Karyn, that is a very long comment there girl.
It doesn’t matter what we folks think, time will tell us if they’ll last or not….but if I was rich I’ll bet my money on them being married for 20 odd years. I think Tom has found what he is looking for and he will do everything in his power to make Katie happy.
But if you rather read tabloid magazines and believe the stories then that says a lot about you than it doesn’t about the gossips.

Tom Cruise’s past and present relationships…why I think it will last. According to Nicole we know why the relationship didn’t work BUT with Katie Holmes that is different because Katie knows what is important and what she wants.

“Breakup Was My Fault” Reveals Kidman
6 November 2002 (WENN)
Superstar actress Nicole Kidman has revealed the real reason behind her split from Hollywood’s most successful actor Tom Cruise - her career. The Antipodean beauty, who was wed to the Minority Report star for 10 years, told Vanity Fair magazine that her desire to be seen as a serious actress led to the demise of her marriage. Only now, when she has critical success, has Kidman realized what a high price she has had to pay. She says, “I felt I didn’t deserve to be there in my own right, and throughout I wasn’t there as Nicole, I was there as Tom’s wife. I didn’t have to have this huge career. And this makes me sad, but I would probably choose a marriage and an intact family over my career. But I think I had to choose. I think (the marriage) would have come down to it. I suppose it wasn’t meant to be.”

Jane dear, I don’t have to read the tabloids to learn about Tom Cruise. Seeing him act like a lunatic jumping up and down on Winfrey’s sofa when he announced his relationship with Holmes. (I suppose he was happy he found someone who would give up their religion and family for that of Scientology - someone who could be easily influences, fooled and controlled). Of course, she is 16 years his junior. She could be his daughter.
Klein and Holmes relationship broke apart in 2005, and Klein sighted that they grew apart, “We grew up. The fantasy was over and reality set in.” I believe that will happen in time with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Keeping them together a little longer is their child.
Soon after beginning her relationship with him, Holmes fired her long-time manager and agent and acquired a new “best friend”, Jessica Rodriguez, a prominent member of the Church of Scientology described as part of its “royalty.” Rodriguez has been referred to as Holmes’s Scientology “minder” as she follows the actress everywhere and tells Holmes what to say during interviews. So when Tom is not with Katie, a nice member of the Scientology team is. But, alas Dear Jane, this is Tom Cruises 3rd Wife.
Then, after Cruise impregnates her, after they have their child, they marry in some castle in Italy, with Scientologists planted at every table, trying to recruit the congregation.
And Jane, you refer to me as believing the tabloids, but dear, that is what you just quoted from. So if you don’t believe the tabloids, then you don’t believe any of what you wrote to me. Thank you dear.
Jane, the article does not say that Kidman is still “in love” with Tom, but rather that in 06, she loved him. People can love one another, without being in love. Kidman loves a lot of men. Kidman became “obsessed” with von Trier, whom she came to view as a “great philosopher.” “I’m so glad I trusted him,” says Kidman. “I will always trust him. And I love him, actually.”
And, Kidnman has a bad habit of picking wrong men. Her current husband has some drug problems.
Do you remember when, after her divorce, Kidman seemed even more willing to flout convention, whether in her choice of roles or her choice of men.
Around Oscar time when asked why she was still single, Kidman replied that she was “waiting for someone to come rock my world.” Enter lizard-skin-suited rocker Lenny Kravitz.
With Cruise, meanwhile, Kidman seems to have developed a kind of deep-yet-distant rapport that’s based on the fact that they share the care of two children and a very intense history, if little else. “The other day,” Kidman says, “I said to him, ‘We spent 11 years together,’ and he said, ‘Twelve.’ I said, ‘That’s right, 12.’ So I suppose you say, ‘I’m going to cherish and remember these things, and this person can still be in my life, though he will never be the most important person, and I’m not living for this person anymore.’”
But this is not about Kidman and her poor choices, this is about Katie Holmes and hers.

Karyn, I try to be polite and all but I’m a bit baffled by people like you who think Katie who is an adult can’t think for herself. What does that say about her and her loving parents who btw are devoted catholic and her father and brother are lawyers. I’m so fade up with people making Katie the victim. Come to think of it Tom damaged his reputation for Katie I hope she is worth it. He is ten time you, me or anyone here who are blogging will ever be.
Nicole Kidman has said in an interview over and over again that if it were up to her,she would still be married to Tom Cruise. That doesn’t sound like a guy who she is fade up or unhappy with. Katie is happy so she is learning Scientology no one is held a gun to her head, her choice her mistakes let her make it. People please get off your high horse and let people be happy for a change.

Karyn and Jane:
Both of your comments are very interesting, and I liked reading them. My opinion is that when KH initially met TC, she became head-over-heels, madly in love with the fact that someone in his position could even give someone like her attention. I mean, look at all of the fame and fortune she suddenly had acquired, just being seen and associated with him. In order to keep the bubble afloat, she didn’t object to embracing scientology and any of TC’s hobbies, likes, dislikes, etc., even though she may not have agreed with any of it. It was just to keep him interested in her, and to hang on to the fame and fortune carrot that was hung in front of her. She changed for her love for him. What she is starting to realize, is that the fame and fortune is not worth compromising yourself for someone else. All of the money in the world cannot make a person happy, if they are not happy with themselves.
Regarding Nicole, I’m not sure we will ever know the truth there. I’m sure that TC had her sign a disclosure agreement of some kind. He surely doesn’t want the truth to be known about him.

Jane, I am not certain why you are baffled that adults, even ones coming from Catholic upbringings, can always think for themselves. Some of the more religious fanatics gravitate to those religions because they can’t discipline themselves. Many people who have strong religious ties, have made some tremendous mistakes. There have been Catholic priests involved in child molestation, so being religious doesn’t make you a good person or one that makes good decisions.
And speaking of lawyers, good old Howard K Stern comes to mind. Or the lawyer, that knowing that O J Simpson was as guilty as the day is long, got Simpson off. Now Simpson is runnnig around trying a sell his book on “How he would have killed his wife…If”. You seem to be caught up with people in high places, or with “Titles” believing them to be somehow above others. That isn’t so Jane. Some of the worst, abusive people in this world, come from religious, educated backgrounds.
I don’t happen to have a high opinion of Tom Cruise, and money doesn’t make him a good person, so I don’t agree with your statement he’s 10 times better. If you want to speak for yourself, then by all means, go ahead, but you won’t speak on my behalf.
I don’t care how many times Kidman said anything about Tom Cruise. She got dumped, and it sounds like rejection is something she didn’t get over. Most of these stars are quite spoiled and aren’t denied a whole lot in their lives. Seeing Cruise on Winfrey’s show jumping up and down like some lunatic child, seeing him marry someone 16 years his junior, and then being attracted to Scientology, some religion put together by some Science fiction believer. Cruise must be very bored with his life. But, he finally got someone to follow his religion.
On the matter of Scientology: From it’s founder:
In the late 1940s, pulp (science fiction) writer L. Ron Hubbard declared:
“Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous. If a man really wants to make a million dollars, the best way would be to start his own religion”
Reader’s Digest reprint, May 1980, p.1
Hubbard later created the Church of Scientology.
The Church of Scientology is a vicious and dangerous cult that masquerades as a religion. Its purpose is to make money. It practices a variety of mind-control techniques on people lured into its midst to gain control over their money and their lives. Its aim is to take from them every penny that they have and can ever borrow and to also enslave them to further its wicked ends.
It was started in the 1950s by a science fiction writer named L. Ron Hubbard in fulfilment to his declared aim to start a religion to make money. It is an offshoot to a method of psychotherapy he concocted from various sources which he named “Dianetics”. Dianetics is a form of regression therapy. It was then further expanded to appear more like a religion in order to enjoy tax benefits. He called it “Scientology”.
Scientology is a confused concoction of crackpot, dangerously applied psychotherapy, oversimplified, idiotic and inapplicable rules and ideas and science-fiction drivel that is presented to its members (at the “advanced” levels) as profound spiritual truth.

More on Scientology:
The Harm it Does to a Person
The results of applying their crackpot psychotherapy (called “auditing”) is to weaken the mind. The mind goes from a rational state to an irrational one as the delusional contents of the subconscious mind are brought to the surface and are assumed to be valid. It also makes a person more susceptible to suggestion since it submerges the critical thinking faculties of the mind into a partial subconscious state. It results in a permanent light hypnotic trance and so from thenceforth that person can be more easily controlled. The person will, to a much greater extent, believe and do whatever they are told. And of course this is used to the full in persuading them to hand over further money and dedicating themselves further to the cult.
The results of applying their oversimplified and inapplicable rules in life is to lose the ability to think rationally and logically. A person loses the ability to think for themselves and so they lose the ability to challenge incorrect ideas. This makes them easier to control. It also isolates and alienates the person from society so that they withdraw from normal society and into their “Scientology” society. This further increases their susceptibility to the influence of their group. They end up being afraid of society, believing all society to be controlled by a group of drug companies, psychiatrists and financiers all of whom report to more remote masters. In other words they are in a state of mass paranoia. They therefore avoid reading newspapers and the like since they fear it will disturb their safe Scientology world. It is a downward spiral into madness.
The science fiction content of Scientology is revealed to them after they have reached the state they call “Clear”, meaning freed from the aberrations of the mind. However, perhaps “brainwashed” would be a more applicable word to describe the mental state of someone who has survived the near entire delusional contents of their subconscious mind brought to the surface and presented to them as “truth”. On the “advanced” levels (called OT levels) above the state of “Clear” they encounter the story of Xenu. Xenu was supposed to have gathered up all the overpopulation in this sector of the galaxy, brought them to Earth and then exterminated them using hydrogen bombs. The souls of these murdered people are then supposed to infest the body of everyone. They are called “body thetans”. On the advanced levels of Scientology a person “audits out” these body thetans telepathically by getting them to re-experience their being exterminated by hydrogen bombs. So people on these levels assume all their bad thoughts and faulty memories are due to these body thetans infesting every part of their body and influencing them mentally. Many Scientologists go raving mad at this point if they have not done so already.
The “Ethics” Trap
On the surface the Church of Scientology seems reasonable. The insane content of it is only revealed to a person when the early stuff has done its work and made them more susceptible. After a short while a person “believes” that Scientology is doing them good. They are then persuaded to help their new-found group further by donating money and/or working for the organisation for almost no money. Many people do exactly that.
“Ethics” is used to good effect to trap a person. A person’s natural tendency to do good is worked upon. Yes - they want to be more ethical, but what is ethical? This is where a clever trick is pulled! “Ethics” is redefined by Scientology in such a way that to be ethical is to be a better Scientologist and obey the “church”. Young people, not yet made cynical through the machinations of life and politics, are very keen to contribute to the world and to be ethical. So the “ethics” trick works easily into persuading them to join the “church”. Many of them join an elite group called the “Sea Org” where they become brainwashed slaves. There they work a hundred hour week for almost no pay. There they are subject to every cruel whim of their masters. It is a living hell that they endure because of the conditioning they have received and this now perverted sense of ethics that they have accepted. The “Sea Org” is the ultimate in brainwashed slavery. They are expected to work harder and harder to achieve ever higher targets of production. If they fail to meet their targets there are various penalties. One of them is to be put onto a diet of beans and rice and to miss sleep. Another is to be sentenced to a period on the RPF (Rehabilitation Project Force). This is the equivalent to “hard labour”. Such is the extent of their brainwashing that they actually write “success stories” when they complete their sentences.
Brainwashing Bites Back
There is no doubt at all that L. Ron Hubbard incorporated brainwashing techniques into Scientology to put people under his control. He even wrote a “brainwashing manual” which is still in existence today.
So, one can clearly see the difficulty Katie Holmes would have escaping from this religion and Tom Cruise, and the support network Cruise has with the Scientologists, keeping Holmes imprisoned in this state.

I love Tom Cruise but I hate Katie Holmes. I don’t know what he see in her. Its her lack of knowledge and sounding stupid in her interviews like David Letteman that put me off of her. Tom can do a lot better than her.

I hate it when people leave long post. Why can’t people just leave links instead. I wonder who reads them.

Hana a lot of people read long posts especially informative ones. That post saved me having to leave the site to read the article if I choose to read it. If I don’t want to read it I can always ignore it, but the point is there it is in black and white for all to see. Not just some link that no one will know about the content if they don’t bother to open it up. Thank you Karyn for posting that article. It was an eye opener and very informative on that religion and the Holmes and Cruise situation. It really explains a lot of things about the religion and why Katie Holmes has made the choices she has. That religion is way out there.

I suspect Hana doesn’t like all the information in the thread about scientology rather than the link because its there for all to see and it informs the public. The thread exposes the religion for those who didn’t know about it. It puts a different light on Tom and Katies relationship. One can see the difficulty Katie might have leaving Tom and hopefully she finds the strength and support to do so.

There are people who are using the fans name but with small letter. I think its a tactic. I’ve see Amy, Anne and now Jane been taken by someone

Can only one Jane post here? Wow….LOL, I didn’t realize there could only be one person called Jane on this forum. So does this mean I have to change my birth name to post here? Some of you people here are too funny. I think you’ve been reading too much of that sci-fi religion of Mr. Cruises.

I certainly don’t believe Katie Holmes to be any tigress. It sounds like her “friends” are concerned Katie may break up with Tom and lose the money and lifestyle. Sorry, Tigress Katie is not. That was grossly exeraggerated to take the focus off this story and Tom kat’s problems.

Truly funny how none of you “langweilers” has ever been with these couple in the same room and time, not to mention any directly dealings with them, and yet expend so much energy trying to rake up enough trash about them to stamp their marriage bad and wish a dissolution.
Sure they are celebrities, so you all have your license to drag a drab of insane trash at their cost, just because you guys have a perfect marriage of time and its use. Well I pretty certain you both have perfect lives and want to reach out that piece to either Cruise or Holmes, but these is not a movie, you don’t have to search for a villain or the epitome of virtue here, this is a marriage of adults with families and friends. It is well to find some peace and satisfaction in wishing people well and then using your time for things that will log your existence in a positive and energetic realm. I am not the least perfect and don’t know who is, let me know if you track “Spotless One” down! Positive energy exerted, positive energy received.
Good luck Cruise and Holmes! You’ll have a marriage until either or both of you decide he/she wants out.

Karyn,
I appreciated your indepth exposure of scientology…trouble is too many people are ignorant. They evangelize in malls. Christians aren’t permitted to pass out “tracts” in malls, yet scientologists are granted a cart/booth/kiosk where they can offer people “stress tests” and advertise their agenda through books about reducing stress through scientology tactics…so sick. And your average mall goer is clueless to their brainwashing agenda…some may not even realize they are representatives of the church of scientology which in fact is no church at all, but a crazy cult based on fiction not fact, and passed off as a “higher level of spirituality and awareness”. It’s the farthest from TRUTH.
Tom and Katie both need deliverance from this system of lies. A spirit of control is not a spirit of love.

Noreen, it’s the religion that’s worrisome and of course that includes anyone who follows it, pariticularly if it’s some high profile people. Problem is, because Tom Cruise is a movie star, who has been successful, it makes some people think he’s without any problems, or couldn’t do anything wrong. Some people put people like him up on pedestals, and that’s dangerous. The fact that he’s using his celebrity to follow and promote this crazy cult that he calls a religion is worrisome. Many people buy into things they dont’ understand just because someone famous is involved in it wether it’s good or bad. Few question it. I could care less who’s he’s married to, but I do care about what he’s doing. Pushing his religion out at his wedding, trying to promote it every opportunity he gets through vulnerable, gullable, people, celebrities who like the connections, and some people including celebrities that are relatively intelligent, but still they can be had. This is worrisome. It’s also very dangerous. He’s using celebrity, his contacts, power, money to push his religion and get people to buy into it. He has a lot of money and success and that can be even more dangerous becuase with that comes power, and some people will do whatever they can to be successful, and gaiin some of that power.
If people understood what Scientology was all about and how he is promoting it, it should make them concerned. Of course he’ll have his people out there doing damage control, much the same way Paris HIlton’s people do for her. By the way, speaking of Paris, she fired her employee, who then took the blame for her dui… I’m certain he got paid a fair piece to do that. It’s about the money and power.
