Katie Holmes Apartment Shopping on the Upper East Side

Page Six has some news about Katie Holmes apartment shopping in Manhattan. She recently checked out some rentals on the Upper East Side that has a hefty price tag of up to $60,000 a month. Yes, I just said a month. Katie, Tom and Suri need a place to stay while she is on Broadway six nights a week for the production “All My Sons“.
One rental she looked at had six bedrooms, six bathrooms and featured high ceilings, terraces and fireplaces. These rentals are all furnished I believe. Heck, the whole cast of All My Sons could stay there! WOW!
Katie has been staying at the Carlyle Hotel with Tom and Suri. This isn’t the first time Katie has stayed at this hotel. She was a guest there when she was running in the New York Marathon last November.
I hope Katie finds a place to stay soon so she can get settled and focus on her Broadway debut.

Yes, but I thought it was an interesting article. One apt they looked at was something like $60k a month!!
It’s New York. I’m surprised the per month rent wasn’t higher if the specs quoted in the article are correct.
There are other inconsistencies with the article. Didn’t Cruise and her stay there in January and then again in May?
I think so…back in Jan was the movie promo thing right? And then in May she was working on the play thing.
That and May was Cruise’s media blitz.
Oh that is right. But Katie was in NY in May doing something on the play, correct??
I read from icydk.com that sources say that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are expecting a baby boy! How many of you think so?
hmmm interesting question. Don’t know..Others said it was a girl.. LOL Read over at jj I think that they celebrated their anniversary just by enjoying the day together. Went to Starbucks and out to lunch and just stayed close to home. Sounded rather romantic.
I am not sure but I remember as if Tom and Katie stayed in a hotel when they were in NY. Katie used to have an apartment there but it may not be a family unit with Suri and the kids. The rent is on the high side but that is NY for you.
Yeah, when the average joe can’t afford $3k rent, you might say $60k is on the high side, or maybe more like ridiculous side. lol.
LOL high side is right… If it is just going to be the 3 of them or even with the other 2 kids, a 6 br is a bit much. Katie had just bought an apt and I think had her stuff moved there when she sort of disappeared for around 16 days in April 2005 and then reappeared everywhere in the world with Tom. None of her friends or family apparently were aware of where she was during that time. I don’t think she actually ever got to live in the apt although she was totally thrilled to be moving to NY and all its buzz and energy. But then I guess love happened and a whole different world opened to her.
She did live in that apt while she was dating Josh Hartnett. It was for about a month, in between Chris Klein and Tom.
Yes, that inbetween month was when Suri was conceived.
