Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham Bad Tippers

Wow, even when I have bad service I at least leave a small tip. I can’t believe Katie Holmes and Victoria Posh Beckham left no tip when they’re both so extremely rich!
Victoria Beckham may not have quite acclamated to life in L.A. yet, but you would think that tipping is a international courtesy. Victoria has been in L.A. less than a month and has already pissed of a waitress at the Mondrian Hotel’s Asia de Cuba where she had lunch with her BFF, Katie Holmes this week and did not leave a tip. Nary a dime.
Maybe waitresses in the U.K. are a litte more gentile, but in L.A. they are all struggling actresses/models and don’t care for skinnier than they are British chicks with loads of international soccer money that don’t leave good tips. The waitress ran after Vics but was stopped by her security guards. We hope that Vics just got sidetracked and caught up in girl talk with Katie or thought the tip was already added in. We’d hate for her to get a ‘cheap’ rep right off the bat.
But according to the Baltimore Sun, Victoria and Katie, who was said to have paid the bill, left without leaving a tip. And when the indignant waitress tried to run after the pair, she was prevented by Victoria’s security team.Hardly the crime of the century, but probably not the best move to incur the ire of the US public just yet.

I believe it. Over the years, it has been posted many times how dear katie was always rude to waitresses and never tipped them, even in her “poor” days. Once a shite; always a shite.

In the UK, tipping is not required. ONLY if you get above and beyond exceptional service and then you would leave 5%. So, maybe Posh didnt realize what was going on??
Well, then. Posh is as stupid as her friend Katie. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. SHe’s in the US now. SHe needs to learn our ways and customs. Anyway, her stupid friend Katie should know better. On second thought, maybe not.

Carla if you read the story, Posh did not tip, Katie did pay her bill an dtipped. Not that I believe any of the crap but boy you have it bad for her if you can go to such lengths to forge stories about her. Once a jealous liar always a jealous liar.

I’ve read these type of stories before, and IF it is true there could be a few reasons. When in the restaurant they could have been distracted or made to feel uncomfortable by gawking fans or paparazzi, and tried to leave in a hurry, and just forgot. Unless you were there – you can’t know.
If you follow Katie Holmes news you would know how generous she is (ex the treats for “mad money” crew) and that doesn’t sound like someone who would intentionally stiff a waitress.

Ok, all over Europe and in the UK you are NOT required to tip. (I lived in europe for two years.) As for supposedly not tipping the waitress, ever occured to any of you morons that maybe the service stunk? perhaps they were hounded? For the love of all things sacred, get lives and stop wasting your time on retarded sites like these.
the only reason I’m here is because my car broke down and i got stranded in my office until my husband can pick me up, so don’t start any bs about why I’m on.
oh and carla, is it? how many countries have you visited? have you tried to speak the language in each of those countries or demand that everyone speak English to you? See, a lot of americans expect all foreigners to automatically mold to our customs, etc… i witnessed this frequently when I lived in Spain, and it drove me crazy. get off your high horse. it takes time to adjust to a different culture. Sure, maybe they stiffed the waitress on purpose. Are you to say you’ve never stiffed a waitress??? hmmmmmmmmmmmm???? Is it really worth all this bullcrap? Bottom line… and I can’t believe I’ve wasted this much time setting you children right…. GET. A. FREAKING. LIFE.
If you want I could say that in 6 different languages… not many other americans would be able to do that. Wanna know why? they expect everyone to speak English! Same holds true with our cultural expectations (tipping, etc).

The service didn’t suck. I’m not a celebrity and I get treated like a princess wherever I go dining. I’m sure these two whores were pampered to death.
