Awww, I simply love Suri… Very adorable baby..

It’s dark out, the bodyguard has on a heavy coat. Must have been an emergency run for Mom, she had no one at home to watch baby and she left in such a hurry she forgot to grab a coat/jacket for baby. Yeh, that’s it.

I agree with you Toledo Fan. She’s gotta get that gift at ALL costs!! D A M N the cold. So what if her kid gets sick. Fred Segal or wherever the heck she was just could not wait. Gotta get rid of a little more of hubby’s money. Yeh, that’s it. My eyes are rolling.

I also think it was a last minute run. I think when its a planned outing Suri’s clothes & her hair look neater. Just like the outing to the Grove where she is wearing that red dress with a white blouse and looks precious. I think on those outings she is dressed by a stylist. Even her hosiery (white stockings with a small design on the back) matches her outfit. This is probably a night when Katie was taking care of Suri and she realized she missed someone from her gift lift and decided to go out and buy the gift. Like a lot of parents, Katie probably wanted to sneak out to the store alone but little Suri heard her and demanded to go with her. Suri is precious. X17Online.com has the video that goes with these pictures. One of the photographers calls out her name and she immediately turns around. Too cute!

Ooooo, I can’t get over how old and haggard Katie is looking these days! When I first saw these thumbnails I thought it was one of the grandmothers holding Suri. Katie seems to have put on weight since the marathon (which she probably didn’t even really run) like everyone eles does during the holidays. And the Marilyn Manson hair-do doesn’t help matters either.

And what the h*ll kind of outfit is that on Suri?! Brillo pad shorts with black tights and the same silver mary janes she always wears, plus a red satin shirt??? Horrible!

Mother and daughter really match with their dutch boy haircuts and their dark circles and bags under the eyes. Those same seen in every photo, mary-jane silvery blue shoes look like they are glued onto Suri’s feet.

I’m shocked to see that there is no baby bottle or blanket, during this late-in-the-evening run to the store. Maybe Katie’s stormed out with the kid, just to get away from the freaks, for awhile. Anyway, without makeup, she looks like a hag, with a worn-out looking child.

Looks like a photo op and smells like a photo op. Guess what, it is a photo op!!
From foxnews on Dec 24th:
“Katie Shops Suri To Press
Katie Holmes was all over the internet this weekend. She took 20 month old Suri on a shopping spree to stores very appropriate for toddlers—like Fred Segal on Melrose and other Beverly Hills stops.
Uh, not! At one point, spying cameras from the various paparazzi show Suri being carried by one of Tom Cruise’s security men while Katie shopped. Later the camera crews and paparazzi got amazingly vivid and unobstructed film of little Suri.
This can’t be the way to raise a toddler, can it? Frankly, it seems contrived, like a headlined adventure for Katie and baby to show they’re bonding and happy at Christmas, just a couple of weeks before Katie’s movie, “Mad Money,” opens nationwide.
I can’t remember a baby this much on display. Cruise’s elder kids were rarely seen before they hit age 10. Indeed, most Hollywood children are usually hidden from view for fear of kidnapping or other threats.
Even with a security SWAT team, Holmes would be better off doing her adult errands without Suri. There’s no doubt the baby would probably be happier, even if it her absence disappoints the photogs.”

I take it back, about the bottle and the blanket. I viewed another website and Suri was doing her usual thing with the bottle and the blanket inside the store. Can’t that kid go outside without this stuff? Does she have to have these things with her all the time? Are they her pacifiers? I noticed that she constantly has to have something in her mouth and in her hands. I wonder if she stays up all night too, like Travolta’s little boy.

Yes, Katie thrives on this kind of attention. She gets high over the fact that her little wide-nosed, crossed-eyed, pigeon-toed kid is so photographed. I find it quite amazing too.

carla i will tell you what i find amazing. That you can be so damn cruel to a 2 year old baby. Its nothing but troll and ugly kid from you which is pretty pathetic. I can understand where all the negativity towards tom and katie come from but whats with attacking suri’s looks? GROW UP!

I agree with Candice. Leave kids out of it. They did not ask to be born, their parents conceived them. When they are older they can change things but not when they are 20 months. I think Suri is a cutie, adorable, captivating that is why the press is always taking her picture because people want to see her.
Carla
Dec 29, 2007 at 11:35 am
It’s cruel to you, but it’s reality to me. Reality is not always positive. Here’s something positive though. The press is always taking her picture because they are paid and prompted to do so. That’s because Katie thrives on this publicity and people like to see if the kid is starting to look like her real daddy, whoever he maybe. You think she’s cute. I think she looks weird. It’s all in perception. And, I am not attacking you because your opinion is different from mine. No, you need to grow up.

I think there is something developmentally wrong with this kid. Aren’t 2 year-olds done with getting-in their baby teeth? Why is she still teething, biting and sucking on anything that she can get her little hands on, to shove into her mouth? Dragging a nursing bottle and blanket around at her age is not the norm. Or maybe it is the new norm. It used to be: bottle done by 1 year, and potty-trained by 2, but I’ve been seeing some crazy stuff out there.

Suri is not yet two - it is still very normal to have a bottle and be wearing diapers at a 20 months! And, yes, toddlers are still getting their molars in at this age.
Battlemama
Dec 29, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Actually, children don’t get all their teeth until 6 years old when their six year molars come in and then they begin loosing their baby teeth.
Suri seems like a normal baby, doing normal toddler behaviors.
The only thing not normal about this kid is the way she is plastered all over the media by her parents.
As far as KH as mother as the year, I am cuious who second place went to: Britney Spears!! With KH’s behavior and plastering her daughter everywhere, she should not get mother of year!!! Mothers are supposed to protect their kids, not use them!!!!!

Carla: Do you have kids? If so, how old are they?
Carla
Dec 29, 2007 at 8:04 pm
I have two boys: 13 and 11. They both were off the bottle by age 1, and then used sippy cups. The older one was 3 when he was potty trained, but the younger one trained at age 2. I am told that girls are easier to train than boys.

Dec 30, 2007 at 5:00 am
carla you have two kids yet you make the comment “aren’t two year olds done getting their teeth”. Obviously the 13 and 11 years have faded your memory. my daughter is 20 months old and still hasnt got all her teeth. All kids develope differently. there isnt a set time period where every child has to accomplish growing and weaning by. If your kids were done with the bottle by age one and toilet trained by age two well done to you. You must be in what the “experts” call the perfect mum catergory. And actually wether you find suri a cutie or not is irrelevant. I cant believe that any one especially a woman with kids herself can call a baby ugly and a troll. And thats probably the nicest things you have said about her. Your boys must be stunners. The next brad pitts maybe. No, i do believe its you who should grow up and have a long hard look at yourself.
Carla
Dec 30, 2007 at 5:48 am
Candice:
Actually, when they were born, the first one was stunning, and the second one was not. I call things the way they are, and I call a spade a spade. Contrary, I think that Brit Spears’ two boys are absolutely beautiful, and Brad Pitt’s little girl is stunning, However, I don’t find Brad Pitt handsome at all. He’s not my type. George CLooney and Harrison Ford are handsome to me. Like I said before, its’ all in perception, and beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Some kids have it, while others don’t. That’s reality with integrity attached to it.
Carla
Dec 30, 2007 at 5:57 am
And come to think about it, you are right when you said that my memory is faded, regarding their teething. Absolutely. However, after they turned 1, outside the home, during road trips, I carried around snacks and munchies and sippys with juice, but no milk. Milk gets warm quickly, smells bad and can cause serious health problems both in the mouth and in their intestines, if it is not freshly drunk.

Dec 30, 2007 at 8:24 am
Carla, beauty may be in the eye of the beholder and yes some have it and some dont. My point is you are a grown woman… What do you get out of calling a baby ugly?? If they are then they are, that is your opinion but dont you think that some things just shouldnt be said. Why not just stick with the “i dont think suri is all that cute” instead of labeling her “ugly” and a “troll” with “crossed eyes and pigeon toes”. I have seen many babies who wouldnt be classed as “beautiful” but i would never EVER say the things that you have said about suri to any child. We cant help the way we look and not all of us are beautiful, but that shouldnt give people the right to label all those non-beautifuls as “trolls”.

And just quickly i dont give my daughter milk during the day at all. She does have a bottle of milk if she wakes up in the middle of night and a cup of milk with breakfast. While im not sure, i do believe katie gives her some sort of barley formula that scientologists seem to think is better than milk (i dont agree with that one) and while i think suri would be better off with a sandwich or bananna etc than filling up on milk she might have an attachment to her bottle that she wont give up. I found it very hard to wean my daughter from breast milk while my son was off it before he turned one!! All kids are different and maybe katie and tom would rather just give her what she wants instead of battling it out with her. Not an ideal situation but suri can hardly be blamed for what her parents do and dont do. If they give her the bottle then of course she is going to take it. She doesnt know any better.

And whats with all the comments on suri’s shoes. If she had on different shoes everytime she was out and about a comment would be made on how the cruises waste money and she never has to wear the same shoes twice. But when she does have on the same shoes, comments are made about seeing them glued to her feet. Which is it?? Should katie be out shopping for new shoes for suri so they can throw out the “silver mary- janes” or should suri be like most normal kids and wear the same shoes on more than one occasion??
Carla
Dec 30, 2007 at 10:17 am
Again, I like your observations. I am not rich, however, my boys had at least 8 pairs of different styled shoes to wear. Yes, I am a fashion hound, and they always were dressed in the latest styles, and many clothes from Lord and Taylor. Now that’s me. So, if I can do that, and I don’t have a million dollars, then I feel that Katie, who is always in the limelight and has photos taken of her every move, can have a different pair of shoes on her child, or at least change them more often, than having her wear those soft hideous looking mary-jane’s. I’m thinking that because she is pigeoned-toed, she may have had surgery or maybe the doctor’s feel that it’s better for her to wear these shoes, in particular. For that matter, I would have every conceivable color in the same styled mary-janes. At least match the colors with the outfits. Remember, Katie’s a star and she dresses the part now. So I think that she should dress up her kid as well. And that includes the shoes, not just the outfit. Again, this is how I look at it. And from now on, I’ll try and be more considerate with my comments about the little girl.

i don’t find anything wrong with the shoes. i think it’s great that they’ve been coordinated with so many different outfits. some sanity! plus, shoes are more comfortable when they’re worn in. but can’t really say much about suri’s outfit here. stunning for an adult, but imo not for a baby.

I think Suri likes these shoes. I subscribe to InStyle magazine and in the article Katie Holmes says that Suri is talking up a storm. She is probably now saying or pointing to these silver Mary Jane shoes and insisting these are the ones she wants to wear. She also probably doesn’t like to wear sweaters, jackets or coats. In one of the pictures that were taken when they are in New York City, Tom Cruise is seem getting out of an SUV with a barefoot Suri. She probably doesn’t like wearing anything that is too confining. They probably let her get away with not wearing a sweater, jacket, or coat but insist she wear shoes. She probably can’t get out of wearing shoes but she gets out of wearing a sweater.
I was actually surprised to see her wearing a little coat in the picture that was taken when they were in Hyde Park when they were in London. However, you can tell it was really cold that day.
But these other recent pictures like the one where she is wearing the white dress that has green paint on it, it rained that day in Los Angeles and it was cold outside. Clearly this little girl did not want to wear anything warm. And she probably also took off her shoes because you can see some yucky green stuff inside her shoes.
I think when these pictures were taken (when they were shopping at Fred Segal’s), it was a last minute run and Suri probably demanded to go on this shopping trip and Katie took her.
However, the shopping trip at the Grove where she is wearing that pretty red dress with a white blouse you can tell she was carefully dressed because she looks so nice, her hair is nicely combed, stockings match, etc. I bet the stylist or nanny bathed and dressed her.
In these pictures it looks like it was the nanny’s night off and Katie was home wrapping presents and packing for their Christmas trip to Telluride when she realized she forgot someone on her list. I bet she has never bought so many Christmas presents like she has this year.
If you all remember those precious pictures of Katie and Suri where they are walking around Tiergarten Square in Germany and Suri is wearing a navy blue sweater and a cute outfit that had matching underpants. I bet she probably was NOT talking yet and wore what they put on her.
Although in a video I saw on Splash online, you can see her stomped her feet and throw a mini tantrum and Katie immediately gives her the bottle. That was around July 2007.
Fastforward to Dec 22, 2007, she is now talking up a storm saying “no to sweaters” and “I’m wearing these shoes.

I think Suri is more attached to K than T. K is photographed quite often with Suri, but we don’t see T taking Suri out on “errands” alone. When did T go out to buy his “Christmas” gifts for other people? Does he celebrate gift-giving or is K the only one that does the shopping since she actually has some “Christ” spirit left in her?!

Maybe katie is exagerating a bit but if suri wasnt talking or trying to mimick at this age then there would definatley be something wrong. You guys can’t honestly believe she had last minute shopping and no one to watch Suri!!!
She has how much staff in her home, live in relatives, not to mention the kid’s father to watch Suri!!!
It was a photo op. KH has to show she is “Mother of the Year.” (Excuse me why I barf on that one!!!)
No matter how photogenic a kid is either, what mother who cares about their kid, would have their kid constantly plastered all over the media like that? Only one who is trying and failing miserably at selling an image of her pathetic life.
Also, no matter how much kids hate to wear their coats, there are some things in life that are not optional. (But with the Cruises, coats and car seats are optional!!) Besides, the coat would hide the designer clothes KH puts on her kid. Also, no normal 18 month old is that clean all the time!!!

Libra posted this in early December:
It is said that for money you can have everything, but you cannot. You can buy
food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; knowledge but not wisdom;
glitter, but not beauty; fun, but not joy; acquaintances, but not friends;
servants, but not faithfulness; leisure, but not peace. You can have the husk of
everything for money, but not the kernel.
-Arne Garborg
Here is my version for KH:
No matter how many designer clothes you wear or fashion trends you set, it will never buy you inner beauty and self-respect.
No matter how many magazine covers you are on, they will never earn you respect or give you integrity.
No matter how many cameras photograph you, it will never buy real relationships or fantasies.
No matter where you are photographed or what you buy with Tom’s money, it will never be enough because it cannot buy you good loving relationships with anyone, respect, charity, honesty, a clear conscious, common sense, and integrity. And ultimately, these are the things that matter!!!

Suri was talking up a storm at 12 months, according to KH in her MAD MONEY interview in April of 2007 (?). Any mother with a 12-18 month old will know she is a liar on Suri talking so well.
KH is good at shoveling crap. The question is: Are we going to be gullible and swallow it?
I doubt Kh would know the truth if it was sitting in front of her. She lied about her dad being in Law School when she was a kid; she lied about saving herself for her wedding night; she lied about her entire family being present in Telluride for Christmas (or do Connor and Bella not count as family, yet they call her “mom?”); and she has probably lied about lot more!!!
Also, think here for a moment: KH and TC are plastered everywhere with Suri this year, yet there are no pics of them celebrating a Wedding Anniversary or a birthday party. Why exploit only the mundane (leaving a hotel, walking down the street, etc.) when they have these wonderful events to exploit as well?
There is something up with that!!!
I think KH would like to relive her fantasy wedding in Italy because maybe for one night she believed she was actually going to be TC’s wife!! (I still doubt there was a legal wedding ceremony performed.)

battlemamma, i do have to agree with you about protecting suri. While i dont think that celebs should have to change their lifestyle because the paps are constantly hounding them (i think laws against the paps should be bought in) i am starting to think that suri is out in the spotlight a little bit to much. I listened to an interview with brad pitt about the kids and the paps and he said that it was really hard to not react to them taking pics because then the kids pick up on it and get upset. And while i have seen no evidence of tom or katie not wanting their pic taken i have to wonder what the constant spotlight will do to the poor little girl. I guess she has to get used to it sooner or later but i do think that some of the shopping trips (mainly the late night ones) are a bit ridiculous.

Happy New Year everyone.
Candice:
I was referring to Suri being able to talk and walk but not having the ability to relieve herself in the pot. You misunderstood me. I am not mother of the year, by any means, but it’s common sense to me, that if a child is old enough to understnad words and the meanings of certain words, and talks in small sentences, and responds in a reasonably intelliegent manner, then this child is able to learn how to be potty trained. I am using comparisons here. I think that although Suri maybe big physically, she seems to be backward in some of her motor abilities. Some of you may not agree with me, and that’s ok. I do think that the kid was born in Dec or early Jan though, and I think she is at the 2 year age group. However, I don’t think that she is at her age level of abilities. I could be misreading her actions, and time will tell.

thank you battlemama! tom and katie, IMO, have lost all credibility whatsoever. no matter how much they try to lie to make their lives seem utterly perfect, i have come to the point where i have to doubt everything they say. i believe she lied about all those instances (above)….and when i compare her interviews to other celebs the differences become blatantly obvious. katie lies, never says anything substantial b/c she has nothing substantial in her air-head, can’t act, can’t stand, can’t sing, she’s not even pretty, can’t even dress well….. why is she a celeb? just to be vain? even talented people seem to have normal people problems i.e. disciplining a child, career ups and downs, past trauma…. NO ONE’S life is that perfect always, and i think there are ways of evading or handling questions that one doesn’t have to outright LIE like her.

Just a couple of LONG random thoughts:
On Connor and Isabella: if these two kids are pre-teens (or early teens) they might be going through some typical teenage stuff that KH and TC don’t want publicized. (Not that I blame them on that one.) Suri’s behavior is the only one they can control. Connor and Isabella might not be into the whole Hollywood thing and might be rebelling against being on show all the time.
Nicole let a little bit of reality show when she said the kids actually did things that she had to get on them about (calling her Nicole). Look at Marie Osmond’s son who’s in rehab right now. That wasn’t made public for the longest but when it was, she just said, “hey, it’s true; let us have our privacy.” These kids didn’t ask to be born to or adopted by celebs; they’re just kids that have famous parents. Most of them will probably never be as famous as their parents anyway. (And may not want to be for that matter—I’d rather be rich and anonymous!! LOL)
What about the story about Isabella dying her hair blue or something like that? (Maybe she just wanted to…I can’t remember.) Have we seen pictures of her like this? Heck no, and I believe that TC and KH have some kind of deal with the paps—you can take our pictures all you want when we’re out, but here’s where we draw the line: No pics of KH jogging preparing for the marathon, no pics of Suri’s bday, no pics of their wedding anniversary, no pics of them lounging around the pool, no upskirts or negative shots, etc. (They must have forgotten “no camel toe” —-haha) The paps seem to have a rule that they’re abiding by to some degree.
Everything that we seem to see and hear about these two is contrived or manipulated in some way to improve or maintain their squeaky clean image. A truly interesting interview would have them telling us something about them that we don’t know. I’m tired of hearing fluff. It would be nice if Katie would just say, “Tom and I argue like any other couple” or “the teens are going through growing pains” or “Suri cries for her silver shoes so we let her wear them” or whatever. I believe people would embrace these two if they actually acted like they had some real-world problems like the rest of us. I know it’s none of our business, but everybody loves Oprah because Oprah lets us see her human side, good and bad. Come on, Katie, we know life ain’t perfect with TC, so let us love you for admitting that dreams are called dreams for a reason!!
Okay, this is long, but I’ve been a lurker for a long time. I think I enjoy reading your comments more than reading the pablum we’re fed about TC and KH.
Happy New Year to all!

Lonestar:
Your comments are refreshing to read, also. Anyway, regarding Suri wearing diapers, I am going to lay off my nasty, sarcastic comments about the kid for awhile. Let time reveal more of the things that I stated earlier, and when more people agree with me, then I won’t stand out so much. I do feel, though, like Lonestar has indicated, that Katie maybe is hiding some issues and problems that have invaded her perfect world, and she doesn’t want anyone to think that there maybe a problem with anything in her wonderful , fairytale relationship. I need to pint out something though that has bothered me about Suri. The kid has had dark circles and bags under her eyes since her first public pictures, and she always seems to be dozing off on her mother, during the day. I suspect that the kid stays up all night and sleeps in daylight. John Travolta’s little boy has the same sleep patterns. Only they don’t make it an issue, because their kids are home schooled and they are allowed to do anything they want to do. Sound familiar? I’m not trying to imply that Suri is Autistic, but time will tell. Doesn’t it seem odd that they always take the kid out in the late or middle of the night? Kids are sound asleep, normally, and the nanny can watch them. Just another observation.

Carla: Three things about the Autistic thing:
1) I would not wish that on anyone’s kid.
2) I had a neighbor with a daughter who was autistic. One of the signs is that they don’t like to held close to another person and they don’t snuggle like a little kid. Suri does!
3) Suri could be a night owl with parents who indulge her. (Trust me, its a pain to redo a child’s sleep schedule.) My oldest would stay up all night if i let her, even at 2 years. But, for my own sanity and because I don’t have three nannies, she had to go to bed. I kept her up during the day so she would be tired. She still wakes up at 9 pm, so now she just reads.
Potty Training:
SHE IS ONLY 20 MONTHS OLD!!
Isabella’s blue hair:
There is a pic of her coming out of the hair salon after it was done. It actually doesn’t look too bad. I think Cruise and Holmes were just upset by it because (a) they weren’t the cool parent who got to take her and (b) they have no control over their kids when they see their mom.

Someone else has picked up on the ‘Amazing” thing from Cruise and Holmes.
Found the article about Cruise and his new film:
“Cruise Rubs ‘Salt’ in MGM Wound
Stranger than, well, fiction: Tom Cruise’s next acting assignment is not for United Artists/MGM, where the actor has set up shop and already is losing money.
According to Variety, Cruise is going to star in a Columbia Pictures film called “Edwin A. Salt,” directed by Peter Berg.
At the most tangential, you could say Cruise is working for an MGM relative. Sony, which owns Columbia, has a small stake in MGM. It’s unlikely the project would be cross-collateralized into UA.
But Cruise’s deal with United Artists so far has produced a dog, “Lions for Lambs.” And he’s following that with the ever-popular “Valkyrie,” in which he will try to assassinate Hitler (see below) with one eye, one arm and a strong Midwestern accent.
The price tag on “Valkyrie,” I’m told, is $90 million and rising. With “Lambs” a box office shish-kebab and “Valkyrie” expensive and controversial, one might think Cruise’s next project would be the “Jerry Maguire”-like romantic comedy he so desperately needs — and for UA.
Is it a coincidence that “Salt” is to be directed by Berg, who just directed Cruise’s new best pal, Will Smith, (see below) in “Hancock”? Oh, you know, there are no coincidences. Berg also just appeared as an actor in “Lions for Lambs.” He was the general. Another coincidence!
Berg also directed a 2003 action flick for Columbia called “The Rundown,” starring The Rock as a character named Beck. That’s a coincidence within a coincidence, you see, since the singer Beck is a celebrity Scientologist, and “the rundown” is the name of the church’s basic course. Amazing!”

the only logical thing that can be in those constant bottles 24/7 is human growth hormones!!! that kid is HUGE….the one picture with her head flush with katies and her feet dangling straight….she’s over half the size of 5′9 katie!!!!
and what mother in their right mind would “rush”
out the door with her kid all dressed up at night and not grab a coat……the FACT is, is this kid is rarely EVER photographed with a coat….how would the world get to see her expensive outfits with a coat on?????
pathetic

Right! I have a new theory on this from the rumor mill here..she takes Suri out “dressed up” at odd hours with no coat- so the relatives here can see her in the outfits they sent her. ’cause….we all know the chances of them ever seeing her in person- except relatives in Telluride and grandparents traveling to CA- are slim to none!

Would Kh put less than Armani on her baby??? I doubt her parents can afford Armani or Barneys. They do have other grandkids to spoil.
I wonder if they are relegated to the Guest House and can only see Suri at certain hours and then with the Cruise clan babysitting them while they visit with Suri.

Remember the pic in Baby Armani where KH is checking out a price tag on an outfit? My first thought was that she was probably buying something for a relative, because we all know that money isn’t an object for HER child. Haha!
