Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise at Disney Store in Los Angeles

by Julie on July 21st, 2008

katie-holmes-suri-cruise-disney-store-01_sp.jpg

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were seen at the Disney store in Los Angeles yesterday and of course the cameras were there to catch it all. I’m not sure what they were shopping for, but I imagine Suri had a blast! I still love to walk into the Disney store even though my older two roll their eyes and try to act like they don’t like the place, lol.

In one of the pictures, Suri has her eyes on something and she looks very interested. Suri’s little black and hot pink sun dress is adorable. I think this girl could wear a brown paper sack and be as cute as can be.

    Hi Julie,

Those pictures are from the American Girl store, I believe. Not the Disney Store.

Either way, Suri is a pretty little girl. I can’t wait till she gets a little older and her hair grows longer!

suri has got to be the cutest most precious little girl in the whole world, the three of them must have had a lovely time together, i’m sure katie wishes there were more times like this with her mum, and i think grandma and suri spent a lot of time together while katie did ES. i think suri likes being barefoot, she went in the shop with shoes and came out without them. she is so cute, and when she holds her toys, she holds them with both her hands , so close to her, i thinkshe’s adorable.

I agree with Annie. Suri is so precious & beautiful.
You can see video of Suri throwing tantrum at X17 Video. So typical 2 years old kid.

Suri is a cute little girl. She is no longer a baby or even a toddler.
She really looks so TOTALLY “little girl”. And the way she is holding on to that American Girl doll, cute! OH and SPOILED!! hehe

I do have to wonder if those particular shoes would be more comfortable with pair of light weight socks. Her feet most likely are sweaty and they could rub wrong in certain places.
I’d bet that is why she always takes off her shoes.
On days like we have had lately, Katie should put sandals on Suri.

mommy seems to be a good influence on katie and everything in general i.e. suri’s trimmed bangs, smarter appearance.

you liked the way suri was holding the doll Puck, so did i, she’s so cute, i think she has lots of shoes and sandals , but like you said ,she’s a little bit spoilt, and we keep on seeing those little gold ones, they’re the ones she has her eyes on.

I saw the X17Online video and thought they
look so cute. I did notice when Suri wanted
to get down from Katie’s arms, she seemed to
pat her with her arms instead of telling her
“Mommie, put me down.” She sounded like she
was wailing not talking. I only say this because
on several talk shows, Katie has said that Suri
is talking up a storm. The only time I have
heard Suri’s voice was when they were walking
out of the Carlye Hotel and Suri told someone
in the crowd “Hi” and then blew them a kiss.

I am glad they TRIMMED her bangs. She looks
    so cute.

I think Suri was sreaming in the video not wailing and she was hitting Katie in the arms. She looks frustrated to always be carried around most of the time. I know kids that age prefers to walk on their own unless they are tired.
Her shoes looks a little too small for her may be that’s why she prefers to walk barefoot.

Thanks Julie for those pictures. Bless bless bless. That little girl is gorgeous. I just love her. She is going to be tough to raise from that video. Even in the other pictures, she was pushing Tom. Those shoes must be her favourites.

Katie’s mum say even Katie was strong willed and insisted on picking out her clothes.

    Thanks Julie

Its nice to see pics of Katie, her mum Kathleen and Suri! Suri is beyond adorable. I can’t wait for Tom and Katie to have another baby.

I think Suri is such a beautiful little girl and these pictures are very sweet. I have to disagree that sandals would be better for Suri to wear because they are very hard for young children to walk in. Little ones like this aren’t terribly coordinated anyway and when they are put into clunky, rubber soled sandals they trip and fumble a lot. I personally don’t think any parent should ever put sandals on kids under 3 or flip flops on kids under about 5. But that is just my opinion.

Stride Rite makes a really cute infant/toddler walking sandal that so adorable on young kids. Suri has been walking for almost two years so she should not have a hard time walking in the type of sandals that I mention.

OH, I just remembered, Suri had the type of sandal on and was walking in them when they returned from the honeymoon.

So she CAN walk just fine in a sandal!

Wasn’t Suri wearing sandals by Sun-San when she & Katie were in Berlin & Paris. Remember those lovely photos of her strolling with Katie in Paris, shopping, visiting some art gallery and of Suri chasing after Pigeons in Paris?

Suri has worn sandals before. Right now she seems to be loving her ballet flats.

Actually, she doesn’t seem to like wearing shoes. Okay at home, but not in filthy public places. I can’t fathom how a mother can let a two-year old walk barefoot on public sidewalks. I know the paps are there and Katie doesn’t want them to capture Suri throwing a tantrum, but it’ll only become more difficult to parent if she doesn’t start now. Having said that, parenting is such a tough job!

Well we have to remember, according to some report KH & TC don’t like to say no to Suri. Remember the Scientology’s way of parenting that they’re suppose to be Suri’s friends not parents who restrict her too much.

I didn’t say that young children canNOT walk in sandals but that they have a hard time doing so. At least, this has been my experience. As for those pictures of Suri wearing sandals on her parent’s honeymoon, she was an infant at that time and not yet walking to my knowledge. My opinion is just that…my opinion. Noone has to agree with my philosophy on footwear for toddlers or even believe that I am right. It isn’t something I require from others in order to be civil to them.

    Hey Lilianne,

    I completely agree with you!!

I recall my little girl having a really rough time with sandals. She’d catch the front of the sandal as she was walking and it would cause her to trip! I found it easier to put sneakers on her. It was safer until she became a bit more surefooted.

By the way, I agree with this statement as well:

“My opinion is just that…my opinion. Noone has to agree with my philosophy on footwear for toddlers or even believe that I am right. It isn’t something I require from others in order to be civil to them.”

Extremely well said, whether it pertains to footware or any other subject! Bravo!!

I remember Katies mum saying in an interview, that she had no problem in raising her first 4 children, but with Katie she had to goand buy a book on how to raise a wilful child, as they say , the apple never falls too far from the tree, i can’t get enough of suri, i just love the way she’s holding her doll, i just love it. iknow it probably will never happen, but i wish the cruise family would do a photo shoot in their backyard

    Charlotte,

Thanks for the kudos even though I don’t think I deserve them. Also, thanks for helping to illustrate my point about sandals for little ones causing problems with walking. I take care of young children a few days a week and I have yet to be around even 1 that can wear sandals and walk without tripping on a regular basis.

Suri looks like a normal kiddo to me. Kate looks like a normal mom struggling to raise a toddler in the terrible-two’s stage.
Suri looked sure-footed in sandals in Paris. She is more coordinated than most kids because of Kate’s hard work.

I must admit that I had never observed children in sandals. I always took it for granted that they tripped all the time sandals or no sandals.

Suri has some cute pair of sandals. She was 6 months during the honeymoon so she cannot have been walking in the sandals. Besides, the pictures were from beach to plane and most pictures showed that there was no grime in her shoes even though in one if seemed like there was. I put that down to lighting. Then again, the story of Suri’s age and parentage is old and lets not dig it up all over again. Let every one believe what they believe.

Nice to see Suri looking engaged and alert! Hopefully the recent out-of-it looking photos were simply the result of lack of sleep or getting over being sick. She’s a cutie, that’s for sure.

Both Katie and Suri are so cute. However, I can’t help but wonder - is shopping all Katie does all day and everyday when she’s not working? I have to be honest, if I were as rich as she is now, I would be doing more charity events. I like Katie and thinks she’s a gorgeous woman; however, in this aspect, I have to say I admire Angelina much more.
