Katie and Suri Do Breakfast

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise enjoyed a mother/daughter outing together at Le Pain Quotidien on Sunday, March 29th. They were swarmed by tons of paparazzi who were making it difficult for Katie to walk through the crowd while holding Suri. As you can see from the pictures, the noise was a little much for Suri.
Katie was dressed in a long purple shirt, blue jean capris and black strappy high heels. Suri wore a pink sundress and a pair of silver flats.
Katie has been seen in and out of a Los Angeles dance studio over the past week. Not only is she practicing her dance moves for something, but she was also heard belting out some tunes. I am dying to find out what she’s gearing up for!

I think she is the cutest girl ever; he [Tom] I’m not so found of! I don’t know why, I just cannot get into him. She has the ability and “years” [still young to develop/grow into her movie star legacy] to be iconic. Anywho….pretty, pretty, woman, beautiful child. I sense, she will out grow him.
With that said, I came here b/c of your name Julie, (I’m Julie too) and that you were going to do the 20pds in 30 days – I am too. Good luck, you seem de-terrr-mined, me too.

how can you enjoy even going out to a bakery if its going to be like this? No thank you. I would not trade places with KH for a million years….or a million bucks. I feel sorry for them.

That could be avoided, but it sometimes seems to me that Katie and Tom choose not to avoid the paps! They could NOT use the same car each time they go out. Many stars vary which car they use so they’re not easily followed. Tom and Katie have very outstanding black SUV’s with elevated tops. They’re easy to track. Secondly, they could vary their schedule in a situation like this, leaving earlier or later than usual. Paps don’t wait around forever. Third, if it was just a bakery run, Katie could have left Suri at home and run for the treats herself or sent someone.
In my opinion, Suri is obviously bothered by those YUCKY paps and I don’t blame her, but her parents share equal blame (again in my opinion) because they COULD make themselves more difficult to follow around. When Katie and especially Tom, don’t want to be seen, they aren’t. The car is a huge factor and they obviously have the financial ability to use different cars and make themselves harder to follow around.
By the way, this is not just something I pulled out of thin air. I have friends in the industry who are well known and their children are kept out of the limelight. Its something any PR person will tell their clients to do if they don’t want attention.
From the video it seems it was not just a pickup snacks and go, they ate there and left through the back door.
As it was in NY it appears that the papparazzi follow any vehicles that leave their home.
Maybe decoy cars would be a good idea but they would have to employ that 24/7.
I wish there wasn’t such a market for pics of celebrity kids. The crush of papparazzi in the faces of these children is disturbing, they can’t even enjoy simple outings with their parents.
I know it’s terrible that all these people are always surrounding this family. It’s very unfair. And at the same time, I can’t help but feel guilty, because people like me login to see the same photos, thereby supporting the system! If there were no audience for the photos, the paps wouldn’t get paid so much, and they wouldn’t follow the Cruise’s everywhere (there would be no incentive). How do you reconcile this?
It is unfair to blame Tom and Katie for what the paps are doing. It is like saying it is OK for a paedophile to attack a little child if that child is dressed like an adult and has make up even though she is 7 years old. What the paparazzi are doing is wrong wrong wrong. Katie and Suri should be able to go about their business with some sanity. No one is stopping them from taking pictures at a decent distance. Just respect the mother and her child.

I agree that it’s wrong, Lauren, HOWEVER, it’s their JOB. If there was no interest in the photographs by online sites, E shows and magazines, they’d be out of work. As parker said before, we’re here checking out the pictures (and some, I’m sure are buying the magazines as well), watching the E shows, and giving the paps a reason to take the pics. You can’t blame JUST the paps. It’s a combined issue. Tom and Katie are somewhat at fault (I do believe they could make changes to make it harder for the paps), the paps are somewhat at fault (for being so aggressive) AND the fans and general public are somewhat at fault (for eating it all up) IMO.
There should be a law that says the paps should stay a certain distance away, Suri doesn’t seem to mind them so much when they’re not in her face. I also like how Katie takes her everywhere. Saw a pic of Katie Suri and Bella at the museum on the Suri Cruise Italia site a couple of days ago. Maybe as Suri gets older, she will become more accepting of the paps, they are going to be in her life for a long time. What I don’t understand with the paps is ,that when they are not in Suris face,she does the cutest things, and the pics they take are gorgeous, you would think that it would be better for them to stand back and take better pics, than taking pics of Suri hiding her face.
Not being in Tom and Katies shoes ,I guess it is hard to judge, but its about time they started playing the media game and not give them anything to write about, First I would bribe little Suri, that if she smiles to the paps I would take her to Disney world again or something( it doesn’t hurt I have done that heaps of times) once twice three times, she’ll get used to the paps. Next Katie should drop ”this is who I am” mentality and start showing what she is made of. Every time she goes out Katie should wear the most up to date casual gear there is , not designer, because they are not necessarily the nicest, having her hair styled more often, and I doubt that the media will have too much to say , although I realise they will always write things. Sometimes you have to play the game unfortunately thats life. I often think that if Katie was a bit smarter, she can stop the media from going on and on about her and Suri its about time she stopped being so stubborn and take more control.

It makes me sad that Katie can’t see how much this is upsetting Suri. Doesn’t she notice how her daughter’s always covering her ears? why would she want to keep exposing her to these situations? I think she should move somewhere other than la or ny where the pap doesn’t care about them and they can live more private, normal lives. It seems to me like katie likes all the attention and doesn’t care how it’s affecting Suri. I feel so so bad for her. you can have all the money in the world, but it doesn’t buy you happiness.
