Hard Times in Shreveport?
I wonder how Katie Holmes is settling in to Shreveport? This author thinks it must be hard:
Hey, I like Shreveport as much as the next person, but it’s got to be like doing hard time for Oscar winner Diane Keaton, Oscar nominee Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes, who are all shooting the movie Mad Money there. Ms. Keaton has been escaping regularly to Dallas (but got terribly lost recently on Interstate 30, read more below).
Thursday, Queen Latifah appeared at the Harry Winston jewelry boutique in Highland Park Village and reconnected with store director Rozalyn Colombo.
When Ms. Colombo worked at Harry Winston in New York, she used to help bejewel Queen Latifah for gala events. The Harry Winston diamond necklace the singer-actress wore to the 2003 Academy Awards, when she was up for best supporting actress in Chicago, became known in house at Winston as the "Queen Latifah Necklace."
As for Ms. Keaton, she’s been spotted at the W Dallas Victory Hotel & Residences, the Crescent and other area locales. But a faithful reader recently wrote to say that a nervous Ms. Keaton approached him near the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas asking for directions to Six Flags. Apparently, she had been on I-30 and was looking for the Shock Wave. When she stopped, our correspondent reports, the actress thought she was in Fort Worth and was startled to learn she had been headed the wrong direction and was in Dallas.
Relax, Diane. I-30 confuses me, too. But didn’t you watch even one episode of Dallas? How can you drive right by the Dallas skyline and think you’re in Fort Worth?
