  This guy is annoying. He squirted you with water. It wasn’t some lethal fluid that burns skin. It was water. Get over it.

  I don’t think Tom made a big deal out of it, I think that if he had punched the dude’s face or used violence or cussed then he would have not handled it well. And come on the dude who squirted him kept smiling while Tom was asking him why he did that to him. I admire how unfazed Tom seemed afterwards, other people would just dwell on it.

  Lola I’d like to see you get squirted in the face and then ask them why they did it as they smile at you cynically.I wonder if you would just keep your mouth shut, punch the dude in the face or throw a hissy fit, only reason you see it as a big deal is because you weren’t the one being squirted.

  Kalista Brat, let me tell you something.

  Tom Cruise is not only the most hated celebrity of 2006, but is also considered a “maniac”. Have you seen him jumping on Oprah’s chair? So he got squirted with water, what was he going to do? Punch a guy for squirting water on his face? It was a JOKE! You laugh it off. You don’t give the poor guy a lecture.

  This happened to two other celebrities. Check Youtube. Did anyone of them start lecturing and get pissed? Did anyone of them spend an hour lecturing the guy? Giving him dirty looks for squirting water on his face? YOU, Kalista Brat, either have serious anger issues, or you need to let loose. So, shut up, stop trying to defend a guy that doesn’t know you exist and stop being such an uptight a**hole.

  I agree with Kalista. He may not be respected in the Hollywood world, but if someone were to squirt me with a water gun I would be upset. Tom was giving him an interview and squirting him with a squirt gun right in the middle of it is totally inappropriate. There are appropriate times for jokes, that just wasn’t one of them.

  And I guarantee that the interviewer’s boss did not think that squirting an interviewee, Tom Cruise or not, was very funny at all.

  Tom Cruise is not the most hated celebrity of 2006. If he were, no one would be paying attention to his whereabouts, behaviors, or activities.

  I think his response to the squirting incident was a controlled, defensive reaction. He paid respect to his attacker and to his own manhood as well, with self-confidence.

  Tom paid this interviewer respect by giving his full, undivided attention. Tom channeled his shock very well. Most of us would have shut ourselves down in order to keep our self-respect intact. Tom reacted through self-confident self-awareness, and thus, his self-respect remains intact. Something to which, I’m sure, we all aspire.

  Tom Cruise or Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, is a good human being who is working toward self-actualization. I wish him the best.

  I think you bringing up a poll saying everybody hates Tom is asinine. Most of these polls online let you vote as many times as you want.Only the people who keep going to that particular website know it even exists! I think you just hate Tomkat, that is why you can’t empathize with a person’s need to confront somebody who obviously tries to ridicule him. I don’t consider it a joke when somebody whom you have never met in your life squirts you in the face, when you are being polite to them. It’s another thing if one of your friend’s is doing it!

  Actually no the interviewers boss found it hilarious and this was actually a producer that did it. check you tube for balls of steel they do this sorta thing all the time.

  The other celbs that are native to the UK found it funny only a psycho scientologist like tom cruise would react this way.
