  Um, I don’t think Katie has as of yet developed her own individual style (and she’s certainly not a fashion icon) unless you count the following: (a) super high heels at all times but especially at night or while carrying Suri (b) inappropriately short dresses and coats in the middle of winter (c) carrying oversized overpriced designer handbags (maybe she totes her own “e-meter”?) and (d) whatever her personal Barneys shopper picks out for her. Additional fashion accessories include beefy security detail and COS handlers! Not really a look I’d strive for . . . !

  Funny!! I agree. I’m not “envious” of this woman’s lack of fashion sense. Sometimes she looks “passable.” Most of the time I wonder if someone turned the light off in the room she was getting dressed in and she just “went with it!”

  kh is simply a witless slave to what she THINKS is fashion….IMO wearing stilletos out on the mediterranean beach and a one-piece bathing suit is not practical for wear with an infant. even supermodels on the beach wear flats, and supermodels are not known for their common sense. conclusion: katie holmes has les common sense than a supermodel.

  hahahahaha. i’d like to have her shopping budget too. i’d probably be really really happy spending only a fraction of her shopping budget on clothes, and the rest on books, donations, sign up as volunteer and go to africa to build latrines with jimmy carter!!!!! my point is that anybody with fashion sense could dress way way better than katie only only a fraction of her budget. she really sucks!

  yeah, the la redoute looks is definitely similar to the kh blouse…. but it looks way better on the model. the long hair and colour keep it light and youthful, whereas on katie holmes she looks like sally field. the girl is just hopeless, can’t do anything right!

  I feel like it is an insult to Sally Field to compare KH to her. Sally Field has talent as an actress and wears her age well. KH, well, I think we all agree on this one how she ranks.

  I agree about the Sally Field comparison NOT. She has won TWO Academy Awards for Best Actress and has been on several hit television shows and countless hit movies and was able to the crossover to the big screen. A lot of actresses that try this don’t succeed (Shelley Long, Marlo Thomas, Eva Longoria is struggling, etc.)

  There’s very few that have the longevity like a Sally Field. Goldie Hawn, Cher, Michael Douglas, are others that come to mind.

  I don’t compare Katie Holmes at all to this league of talented actors. And they didn’t have to marry Cruise to get there. They relied on their talent (comedy or drama) to win audiences over.
  Katie better make herself comfortable where’s she at because being married to Cruise is the only way she’s gonna keep up with the lifestyle she’ is becoming accustomed to. The biggest problem is losing her and her daughter’s soul to XENU.

  I heard that Nicole Kidman was tentatively scheduled to be a presenter. Who knows if that will still happen because she with child.

  It was a strange night when Cruise was a presenter and his EX girlfriend Penelope Cruz was nominated for best actress. This happened last year when that famous picture of Cruise rehearsing holding Suri was taken. By the way,
  that picture is in the current INSTYLE magazine (the one with Eva Longoria on the cover).

  The more ex girlfriends and wives you have the harder it is to plan which party you will be attending. Imagine how Warren Beauty did it? I mean in his heyday, back in the day when he was very handsome and young he slept with just about every famous actress in the entertainment business. He shocked a lot of people when he settled down and got married and became a conservative father. Those playboys are always the ones that become conservative fathers.

  Cruise is a different story altogether.

  agreed, ng. the comparison sucks, but i was only comparing their appearances. sally fields is considerably older, albeit she has aged very gracefully and has earned her recognition as a serious actress. sally fields dresses well and appropriately for her age. katie holmes doesn’t have to dress field’s age YET, imo. a young mother could dress more age-approprately. not only has holmes aged considerably physically since her marriage, but her wardrobe has aged with her.

  jajorge: You do know that Goldie Hawn and Sally Field are very good friends from years ago. And they both are in their early 60’s, yes, hard to believe, both have been divorced and have been more successful then their partners BUT both have kept their weight the same throughout the years and I think that and apart from staying away from the booze, cigarettes, and drugs have helped.

  Once I heard Rev. Billy Graham preach about gluttony how one should also try to keep their weight down because your body is your temple.
  I won’t get into a religious message here BUT your weight plays a role in your appearance. Katie is going the opposite end of the spectrum than let’s say Kristie Alley who goes up and down weight. Katie is losing, losing, losing weight. And when you are too thin that also makes you look older. When you’re too fat, that ages you.

  Sally Field, Goldie Hawn, Cher, Jane Fonda, have kept their weight almost the same like when they were young women. I think aside from a little nip and tuck and definitely a lot of exercise and clean living these women have managed to look good in their 60’s and Jane Fonda in her 70th year of her life. They all look great. I almost forgot Diane Keaton. She’s also in her early 60’s.

  They all know that extra pounds make you look FATER and OLDER on the screen and on television and photo shoots.

  and you know Hollywood is an image conscious business. Yes, you have to have talent but you also have to look a certain way. As I mentioned, I have seen a few celebrities in my day and most are not heavy because the camera picks up the extra pounds and now with HD plasma television it picks up the pores, wrinkles, etc. This is a tough business that’s why you get paid a lot of $$$. And probably why actors are so egotistic and narcisstic because their stylist, publicists, agents are all telling them (when they are in their glory) “you look the best, you’re so beautiful, handsome, there’s no one like you.” Of course they all get a percentage of your salary. Nothing free in tinseltown.

  It says in the article the tatoos say March 2006. Apparently, Posh and Becks announced they are trying for baby number 4 this month.

  Wasn’t it last Spring that Posh told Cruise to stop stalking her about joining Scientology and that her and Becks weren’t interested? There was a rag mag article that said Cruise was stalking them over the phone and things. It was also about the same time that Posh stopped hanging out with Katie, either because KH and TC were filming or whatever.

  Every year the Oscar party to go to was the Vanity Fair party at Morton’s in West Hollywood but there was an announcement that this famous party was cancelled because of the writer’s strike. And even though the strike is over the party was cancelled.

  And so aside from the Governor’s Ball, Elton John’s party, there will probably other little B-level, C-level, or D-level party to go to depending if your in a hit movie, television show, or have a hit record out or coming. If not, celebrities have to leave town this way they don’t say they weren’t invited.

  I remember last year Paris Hilton’s parents Rick and Kathy Hilton tried to CRASH into Vanity Fair’s party and they were turned away. And you know today the press especially TMZ loves to film awkward moments.

  I would NOT be surprised if they have a “war room” a term that is used in political campaigns to strategize what events or mailers are coming out along with the number of dates left of election day.

  I would not be surprised if TOMKAT’s pr people have a war room where they document all the events they attend, the clothes they wore, the number of months left before Cruise’s next flop comes out in October. Because these people are planners, calculators, they do things like a supposeduly rescue people to get goodwill with the public, etc. I bet they even calculate when Suri is seen in public and not. You don’t want too much exposure of Suri unless there’s a movie coming out.

  I bet the goal is for Cruise and the Church of Scienotlogy to eventually start producing their own movies 100% so they can make more $$$ and not have to divi up the money with other studios where they have less control. The flipside you also take bigger losses. Thank God Cruise and his machine have been exposed.

Cruise is the type that will hound you down, wear you down, until he gets what he wants. Only he is gonna find that Victoria Beckman is not gonna approve the Scientology thing. You can feel that she thinks he’s a freak and probably simpathizes with Katie. I believe Victoria Beckman comes from a financing well off family and its David Beckman that comes from humble beginnings. He worked hard and rose through the ranks to become a millionarie ahtlete. I don’t think Victoria is impressed with Cruise and you all know you gotta win over the wife to make this kind of change (religion, cult) permanent.

  not only are such drastic weight changes bad for appearances, i believe it’s also bad for your whole system internally.

  i think there is a fine line between looking slim and unhealthily thin. i think it varies with each individual though….with bone structure and proportions…anyways, katie has crossed over and is looking haggard and can’t even fill out the clothes she wears these days imo. understandable, as any sane person in her shoes must be going insane, but is she sane? hmmm

  i think the only folks that our couple could rely on to attend their pre-oscar party would be other scientologists (probably on orders from that creepy david m, the top cult dog.) i would imagine that they might get more guests if they decide to “co-host” it with some other celebrities so that will be interesting to see how it’s described. katie did look very pretty at last year’s oscars with those turquoise beads in her hair. seeing how the stars dress is the most fun part of watching the show!

  Losing a lot of weight is hard on the body:
  1) You aren’t getting the proper nutrition, so you are vitamin deficient, which effects a lot of things including looks.
  2) Without proper calories and once all your fat stores are gone, your body will literally eat away at the muscles and then turn to other parts of the body to get its nutrition.
  3) By age 30, you have too get the proper amount of calcium to MAINTAIN what bone density you have achieved up to that point. By age 30, you are maintaining bone density and then age 40, you lose it quickly. Many skinny models and ballerinas have brittle bones and are cripples by age 30 and 40 because of not getting enough calcium.
  4) We have all heard of Karen Carpenter. She died from heart failure because of losing weight and then gaining it again is very hard on the body. This is primarily how eating disorders kill people: heart disease.
  5) It effects your ovulation cycle and periods. Being super skinny, hinders your ability to get pregnant.

  I hate it when they took Suri out at night for photo shoots. Yet when she’s absent from the paps for a while, I’ll be wondering whether she’s getting less and less cooperative both at home and on public? I also remember the picture of Suri wrapped in a blanket, held by KH when they’re walking in Manhattan at night. She (Suri, I don’t really care how KH the hag looks) looked miserable, apparently fatigued and cold, maybe hungry too.
  Really come to think of it, BritBrit at some levels is a better parent by staying away from her two beautiful sons.

  well, if the dance teaching thing is any indication, i truly hope brit is getting better. her insanity really began with the divorce, and i think the unravelling marriage and problems with kfed had a lot to do with it. people can go crazy a little while, but i hope she’s getting truly better.

  unlike katie, brit didn’t pimp out her kids. nor did she marry a sugar daddy nearly twice her age. though there are people out there who say she has no talent, i think her success pre-marriage shows that she has SOMEthing. and unlike katie, brit seems to have turned to family. kudos to her!
  anyways, i don’t think i can come up with a good comparison for katie. katie is truly a lone act.

  After looking at all the other photos on the link above, I can say for certainty that Katie looks like she is “into” herself more than she is Tom. It’s as though she thinks she is someone else…maybe a model, a princess, I don’t know but she looks totally disconnected from everyone and everything around her like “it” is all about her and nothing/nobody else. She may be under hypnosis.

  She does look very disconnected from everyone in the pictures. In some of the pics, like the one of her sitting at the table with Cruise, she looks like she was dragged their by someone she doesn’t want to be with. Even in the JLo and Marc Anthony pic, she looks like the fourth wheel as if she was a mannequin they stuck in there.

  How sad that this is where is her fantasy has gotten her!! I don’t think this sadness is because of recent setbacks either. I have a feeling she is thinking that Morton only scratched the surface with Cruise and Scientology. I think she also realizes that she is not walking away with Suri!!

  I wonder if she is trying to avoid another pregnancy because it will further entangle her with Cruise. Can you imagine what Scientology and Cruise with a little baby TC running around? Or maybe they will defrost L. Ron for the procedure?

  I looked at the pictures from the link provided and I am afraid that I just don’t see what the rest of you see. In the one that Leo mentioned in the 6th row, 3rd column it looks to me like Tom is just reaching out to touch her face in a sweet gesture. My own husband does that to me sometimes when he is looking at me…he will reach out and caress my face with one hand. There are some pictures there that do look like Katie is a little tired but who could blame her? I think it would be exhausting to have to always be “on”…knowing that the photogs are right there and if you slouch because your back is tired from sitting up straight or if you look even a little bored then everyone will see it. There are some pictures where she is looking at him like she really loves him and it is making her happy to be with him.

  Lilianne: I just don’t see what you’re seeing. They are being photographed at a public event. Most people just don’t reach out and touch each other on the face like this in public photos. Basically, all these two had to do was walk up to the back drop, stand for a casual photo, then move on. Personnally, I’ve never seen anyone (ordinary or famous) carry on like this. In most of the other photos, Katie is looking totally out of it or “far and away”. Honestly, I don’t see any photos where she looks like she really loves him. I remember seeing that look of love in photos of them when they first started dating. She doesn’t even look like the same person. Her expressions now are “sour”.

  leo…it is ok that you don’t see what I am seeing because it is certain that I also don’t see what you are seeing. The picture where Katie is looking at Tom with a loving, pleased expression is in the first column, 18 pictures down. At least that is how it looks to me. As far as “most people don’t reach out and touch each other on the face like this in public photos”…I don’t really know what is wrong with doing that and I believe I have seen other celebs behave similarly.

  Hi everyone. Been on site pretty much a long time. Enjoy all the comments. I would just like to say this. Has anyone read much about how the scienos court and seek out celebs? TC may well be a lost cause, but perhaps there is yet hope for Katie. I have been thinking about the whole time line thing when she was in the process of moving to NY and suddenly disappeared for approx 16 days or so. Came back way to happy and ‘in l ove’ if you ask me. It has always been over the top. From what I have been reading just lately, they eventually put all scienos around a person and then there is the auditing-mind control thing. Then there is the curious thing about TC’s mom suddenly leaving Florida and moving in with TC right at conveniently the time Katie did. Her neighbors say there was nothing about her moving away. She went for what a couple of weeks and then just stayed?????
  I still feel for katie because I think she may have gotten pulled in deeper and faster then she realized was happening. She may be now realizing it, but I agree with NG that if she does change her name to Cruise, free thinking may be gone

  Oh and the website I was on which I think is called fact.net also says that charity events are a way to get new celebs involved. I read somewhere recently that Madonna had been seen without her red thread bracelet thing or whatever it is. This article said that actors and other celebs are particularly vulnerable because of all the accolades and attention they get. Celebs in this thing are treated TOTALLY differently than everyone else. Anyway you run into someone at an ‘event’ kind of ‘accidentally’ and then praise the charity efforts and make a new friend-interchangeable with target. I personally see no religion in any of this. My faith doesn’t Charge me money and keep everything so secretive. ALL of the tenets of it are free for all to know and make their own judgement. In fact, I can go to a number of different churches and pretty much hear the same ‘doctrines’ without a financial or billion year contract having to be signed.

  Comments about that red dress and Cruise touching her face, I think Cruise knows he’s in trouble and he knows he is bringing Katie down with him.

  We are only looking at the pictures but who knows if we see a video of them when these pictures are being taken what the photographs are asking them, when you see the video that changes the dynamics of the moment.

  Like when they were coming out of Joan on Third, there is a video on TMZ of them exiting but there’s also about 9 police officers in addition to their personal bodyguards helping them exit the restaurant and get in their car which is only about 15 feet away. And Katie is walking very fast to get in. Cruise looks psst or upset when a photographer asks “Katie, are you pregnant.” Which is a stupid question to ask. But in pictures you don’t hear this. I don’t think things are gonna get any better for them.

  The only “pure” event that is coming up where they will probably have a photo family coverage is Suri’s second birthday April 18, 2008. I am so sure they will use Suri’s image to try and TURN AROUND the negative image they have been receiving from THE PAYING PUBLIC. Its the public that’s has blessed you with their hard working dollars which in turn help celebrities buy nice cars, homes, clothes, drugs, booze, plastic surgery, etc.

  PuckHappy: I don’t think it was ever reported that Katie was pregnant. The press has speculated because whenever she wears a dress that remotely resembles a baby bump the press takes that and runs with it. Watching a video of an event and simply looking at pictures with no sounds give you two different perseptives.

  I think today a lot of the members of the press are no longer professional photographers I think a lot are low lifes who ask stupid questions to provoke a reaction.

  Suri’s birth announcement was saved for his MI3 premiere.
  Katie was photograhed at the NYC marathon for his LFL premiere.
  My guess is that if she does not get pregnant soon, it will be announced that she “miscarried” for his next movie premiere.

  Personally, I like Katie’s hair. And the red dress has sort of grown on me. She looks great in that color, perhaps a different style definitely would have been better. She is a beautiful young woman-I just wish we’d see more of her own personality and less of her trying so hard to please him. Whatever he has, it isn’t worth her giving up all of herself and who she is to have it.

  Apparently the lawyer(s) in question, Cruise used him to help him divorce Nicole Kidman.

  From wikipedia: “On March 17, 2006, the “Page Six” gossip column in the New York Post reported that actress Nicole Kidman was questioned by the FBI as part of the ongoing Pellicano investigation. Telephone voice recordings of Kidman speaking to Cruise were found when authorities first raided Pellicano’s offices in 2002. The tapes were allegedly made in 2001, shortly after Kidman and former husband Tom Cruise announced they were separating. Cruise used lawyer Dennis Wasser to negotiate his separation, and Wasser regularly retained Pellicano’s services. Although he has not been charged in the case, Wasser has been told by the FBI he is a “person of interest.”[17][18]

  Prominent Hollywood attorney Bertram Fields, a long-time client of Pellicano (and lawyer for Tom Cruise), has repeatedly been connected to the ongoing federal wiretapping investigation in the press because of allegations that his celebrity clients have benefited from the former PI’s alleged illegal wiretaps directed against members of the media and prominent critics. Carradine and Stevens pleaded guilty to charges they lied about Pellicano’s activities against an opponent of one of Fields’s clients. Variety reported in 2003 that Stallone was questioned by the FBI when it was revealed the actor’s phone may have been illegally tapped by Pellicano, who was working at the time for a client of Fields.[19]”

  The person who said Cruise was wiretapping KH’s car, probably hit the nail on the head with that one.
