Angelina Jolie Confirms Replacing Cruise in ‘Edwin A. Salt’

I reported back in August that Tom Cruise had been replaced for a role in the movie ‘Edwin A. Salt’ by Angelina Jolie. The reports are true and Jolie has confirmed it herself. After Cruise dropped out of the role, Jolie expressed some interest in it and the film makers had to rework the character, turning it into a female role. Along with the role change, the film name is expected to change also.
Jolie recently told BBC radio, “I’m working on a film called Salt. It’s with [Bone Collector director] Phillip Noyce. And that’s it.”
This may be the last film we see Jolie in for awhile, as she has said she is fading away from acting. I am looking forward to seeing Jolie in this role.
