American College of Radiology: Self-Radiology is Bad

We all heard that Tom paid up to 200k for a sonogram machine so that he could look at his fetus 24/7, but now the American College of Radiology (ACR) has issued a warning that only qualified Radiologists should attempt to give ultrasounds. Not surprising they don’t want to condone a practice which leads to them getting less money:
Untrained people, even if they have the financial means, should not buy, or be allowed to buy and operate, ultrasound machines which are, in fact, medical devices and should not be used without a medical indication …. the ACR is concerned that Tom Cruise has been badly advised,” Chairman of the ACR Ultrasound Commission Carol M. Rumack said in a statement.
